A lovely hotel to stay in close to Kumamoto Castle. The rooms are nice and clean with friendly staff who are very helpful. Bath areas on the 12th floor are also quite nice and have a range of offerings inside. Breakfast was included with the price we paid, however, all the food was a little tasteless, if paying for breakfast, it is easy to go downstairs and get something but I’d probably go somewhere else if paying.

Stayed in a room with an open-air bath. The room was clean and easy to spend. There is a tatami mats, so you can go go go. The bed is a bit hard, but it is not difficult to sleep. The open-air bath can hear the sound of the car because it is all over the city, but there is a cherry blossom and it is not visible from the surroundings, and the curtain for completely blocking is also installed, so if you are concerned, you can use it. The water was clean and easy to use. The outlet is hardly close to the floor, under the TV, under the bed, the bathroom and the air cleaner. If the charging cable is short, the tablet will be charged at the bed. If the charging cable is long, you can extend it from the TV and put the tablet on the tatami mats to charge. It was because it was a room near the coin laundry on the 3 floor, and I heard the sound of the washing machine. However, I was able to spend it without worrying about it. The hotel receptionist is a sister in a T-shirt, and there is no atmosphere called ”Hotel Man”, but I was able to check in and check out smoothly, and there is no rudeness. A négocier avant séjour ou sur place. Je remercie les 2 personnes qui ont essayé de résoudre une demande de réservation de ferry, que je ne pouvais effectuer seul sur deux websites complètement en japonais.

Near the historic site but not so near to the JR station. It was a rainy day so we had some trouble moving our luggage to the JR station. The hotel itself is good. Rooms are not big but its good enough. Onsen was very crowded after dinner but there were lovely treats prepared for us.

A very good surprise... The spa is great... Opened all night from 15:00 ... Up to 9:30 am... So just great. Location is a bit out of the busy area. So it's just great. Don't expect to sleep daytime tho... The train pass by...or is the tramway ? Anyway... Bed was comfy. Be careful... There is no 24/7 counter. They are closed maybe from midnight... Up to 11am minimum. So, you better ask things when it's opened

We took Highway Bus (2.5hr) from Fukuoka Airport to Kumamoto Sakuramachi Bus Terminal. Koko Hotel is directly connected to the bus terminal. Hotel was opened in June 2022 and there were now clear signages to Koko Hotel as we alighted from the bus. We took escalator to the 2F and take the lift to the 14F where the Hotel lobby is. From the lobby, we get a clear view of Kumamoto Castle. Our Superior Twin Room is very spacious and comfortable. We paid Y32,310 for 2 nights. It is 10 mins walk to the Castle, and 10 mins taxi ride to Kumamoto Station. Amu Plaza next to Kumamoto Station has plenty of eateries. Sakuramachi has Family Mart, restaurants and shops.
