In short: Terrible experience with several considerable gaps across housekeeping, breakfast offerings and limited service standards. The only redeeming quality is the location.
The detail:
First room was great, no major issues with the room which was a Premier category. Upper level, so good view. Only issue here was toilet roll was not replenished (there was none left), and pillows smelt of ass. Both replaced when raised.
Second room, after we extended our stay, was a Deluxe and it went downhill. Fast. Blood stain on the blanket… bites overnight (assume bed bugs), towels smelt like used, lukewarm water during shower, freezing cold room despite attempting to increase the temp and then finally washing machine had a major leak. It took maintenance team over an hour to come take a look.
Breakfast - basic and fine except when it got busy on the Friday and there was no food left… no bread, no fruits, nothing. Guests roaming abound the tight buffet area unsure what to pick from (remnants of noodle left, salad leaves, and some stale danish pastries). Staff were unsure what to tackle first oncoming Guests, clean up the plates or hide from the complaints.
Tried raising the variety of issues as feedback with the Manager twice, but no follow up or any contact from the duty manager. Got chatting to another couple staying at the hotel, and they had a similar experience with breakfast disappointment and service overall being really flat.
Cannot wait to check out tomorrow.
Imagine blood stains, bed bugs, smelly towels and no service standards when things go wrong. 2.5 stars overall.
