If you want a comfortable stay near the airport for a long layover this place is great. Clean facilities, friendly staff, decent food and drink options and most importantly, 5 mins from airport terminal. Perfect for a layover stay if u have an early morning flight to catch

We went to kill a few hours before taking a flight out. There are far better options available near the airport. For our purpose it was fine though. But i don't think i would have slept in this type of hotel overnight. It's very close to the airport, rooms are tiny and not that clean. We had to ask for a clean bedsheet to cover the existing one. Room looked run down.

Great location, great staff. Most friendly and helpful receptionist and staff ever, lovely and great first impression of hotel. Everything about the hotel was exceptional. It was clean, stylish, roomy with excellent service in where we had dinner. Food was good and great value for money and service was attentive and efficient. Room itself was well equipped and comfortable. I was very pleased with my stay. I hope to be back for a longer visit in the future.

Thanks to Priyanka our first trip to Kolkata went smoothly. She provided a lot of assistance for exchanging money, arranging the shuttle to the airport for the next morning, and giving directions for how to get to the nearby attractions. She also upgraded our room from deluxe to premium for free. We really appreciated her help.

We booked a night here at the Holiday Inn Kolkata hotel. I have stayed in Holiday Inn chennai as well. However, the standards of cleanliness and amenities and the room, the bathroom fittings and floor were low and some areas felt unsanitized as well. The floor in the room also lacked cleanliness. They also had a torn bedsheet on our bed which I asked them to remove and they very quickly and diligently changed it. However, I was disappointed since the finishing checks if the room is in good condition for the next guest needs improvement. The walls lacked lustre. And we paid approximately 62 EUR. Maybe they need to check the standards of other Holiday Inns like in Chennai. Food that we ordered was nice. 10/10 on that. But somehow the brand that Holiday Inn is and that we experienced in Kolkata was a huge mismatch. I hope they look into all this.

We had booked 35 rooms in the month of September'23 for our marriage party in 18th-20th January'24 for 3 days. Just 1 week prior to our check-in we get a call from the hotel that there is sewage problem in all the rooms above 2nd floor due to which they had to shut down all the floors and they cannot honor our booking and have to shift us to another mediocre property about 1 km away. Due to peak marriage rush we were helpless as it was last moment and had to agree. They provided us with 10 rooms at Regenta Inn Larica and 25 rooms at NPG Hotel Kolkata. We were shocked to see that another marriage party was checked in on the same day at the hotel. The hotel did not honor any of the commitments that were agreed upon. Our marriage party was divided and all our functions were spoiled. The banquet hall on the 1st floor was not provided, instead a smaller banquet was provided on the 7th floor with no amenities. Our caterer was threatened to vacate the kitchen on the same day for the other party's caterer. All the staff misbehaved with my father-in-law and all the elders making it the worst experience. We were humiliated infront of everyone whom we had invited for the wedding. This hotel and it's management are fraudsters. These greedy people destroyed our whole marriage experience. Please do not book in advance with this property, these people have no ethics, they can go down to any level to satisfy their greed.

A wonderful place- like a green luxury island in Kolkata. The building is an old palace with garden, open spaces and spacious rooms, well furnished in the style of the last century and the most comfortable beds. We liked the big bathroom and the collection of teabags for a nice cup of tea was a real retreat after a day of sightseeing. Therefore we used the Hotel owned car and driver and we had very informative guide who could answer all our questions. A highlight is the restaurant with excellent food and outstanding service: many thanks to Kanal,Azizul and Manoj- we enjoyed our dinner and your suggestions. Also the team of the front desk was incredibly supportive with our booking problems and typical tourist problems- thank you! For sure we recommend this lovely place and we will return …

Hotel Fern Residency has taken well care of Hygiene and Cleanness. Rooms are quite nice and privacy maintained at its best. Front desk crew are simply amazing and supportive. Special mention to Ms. Tika, effortlessly she was taking great care of everything and with smile

Preference was for hotel near airport. This hotel is bang on the busy road of Kolkata. Rooms are smaller and suitable only for one person per room. Somehow hotel is loved by north East Indians, south East Asians and Chinese folks. Ac was good. Shower was well quarantined. Overall Breakfast preparation was bit salty. May be chef can evaluate the reasons. On last day at breakfast I casually asked, why don’t they keep some Bengal sweet at breakfast?, as a delight, I was offered authentic jaggery Rosogolla!!

If you're in Kolkata to enjoy the romantic ambiance of a city with real soul, this place is the right establishment, in the right location and has more than reasonable prices. Immaculately kept rooms, helpful but unassuming staff and some lovely little touches (particularly loved the old books and pictures of grandad and great grand dad in the reception) make this a place a real jewel and a nice surprise to end our trip to India with. If you suspect Im exagerating, do yourself a favor and take a chance on it. You'll be glad you did.
