I nearly changed my holiday because of the negative reviews that i read here, however i was so pleased i didn't and went with my gut instinct. I have just returned from the most wonderful relaxing holiday at the Mai Samui beach resort. The hotel has been built in a traditional Thai style, on a quiet peninsular of Samui. So if you are looking for a glossy high rise concrete soulless block with entertainment and plenty of bars surrounding you, then this is not the place for you. There are a few local restaurants and a coffee shop only a few minutes walk away. With lively Bophut, with the Fisherman's market and Nathon are only a short taxi ride away (or free bus from hotel every day). The hotel has a variety of rooms to stay in, a couple of restaurants and a great beach bar with an extensive cocktail menu. The staff are all amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently having a few renovations but so has everyone else. Hotels and bars across the world have all suffered being locked down for several years due to Covid 19, and have only just re-opened, so yes they all need to do a bit of catch up. The renovations did not impact us in any way, and did not spoil our holiday one bit. I chose not to do all inclusive and opted for breakfast only. There was plenty of choice every morning. The egg chef was always busy with everyone's individual orders. One very small negative is the lack gluten free options or milk alternatives, but we worked around it. The beach is not your usual tropical lounging sandy spot. This is a very shallow tidal bay with some rocks and corals. It is great for a low tide walk, but not swimming. To make up for this the hotel has a couple of large well thought out swimming pools. and there is a raised sandy area to the front of the beach with plenty of sunbeds and chairs to lounge on. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if you prefer a quite resort but with easy access to livelier towns. If i have the chance i would definitely come back again. Thank you everyone at Mai Samui for a wonderful stay.

I spent 4 nights at The Sea Koh Samui. Staff are really friendly, professional and so polite. Room was big and clean. A bit old but it’s fine. I really enjoy my stay here. I’d definitely come back here again!

Stayed @ this lovely place from 24 to 28 Nov. Enjoy my sojourn and wished to extend my appreciation to the hotel staff for their warm hospitality, especially to Tiri who had endeavored to help me & my friend secure a last minute booking with a tour agency for a day tour to Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park. Even though she did not managed to secure a booking for us with the tour agency, we really appreciate her valiant effort. The room was nice, more or less similar to what you see in the posted pictures. The view from the balcony was excellent too, as you can see from my video. I love the part where they placed a resting couch at the balcony, which is apt for just lazing & enjoying the seaview across. & not forgetting the very inviting infinity pool with the marvelous view across the sea. Definitely a instagram-able spot. The housekeeping was prompt & the room was very well kept thru out my stay. The restaurant was good as well, I enjoyed the breakfast which was quality & quite a spread for me. Price was quite reasonable too, in my opinion. Alright asides from the niceties, there're a few things which I think is worth pointing out. 1) There aren't any elevator in the hotel, so the stairs are the only option. I would advise checking in early before evening, when the reception will be able to arrange for a staff to bring your luggage up to your room. Else, u're gonna have bring it up yourself. 2) The place is relatively remote & far from the other hotspots in Samui like Chaweng or Lamai. 1 way to Chaweng will prob take around 35 -45 mins depending on traffic. However, there are plenty of shops & outlets nearby for dinning, massage or to simply grab some groceries or necessities. You really gotta chk out the nearby Bang Por Beach, which is a quiet idyllic beach with an lovely view of the opposite island Ko Pha Ngan. Oh yeah, I fly my drone there too, & the view is awesome too. I would seriously recommend renting a motorbike or car to get around. Else, u can try exercising those limps by walking up & down the hill (The hotel is perched on top of a hill, thus the excellent vantage pt). Regardless, I think this hotel is a great place for couples & families looking a quiet idyllic spot, away from the hustle & bustle or the furor of commercial tourism. I would really consider coming back again in my future trip back to Samui...
Wow! The accommodation at March resort is perfect. I like the concept of small individual houses so much. You will be settled in a tiny house looking accomodation with a small sitting area outside ”your house” and the pool view. They clean the rooms every day and change towels and provide water bottles. It's very quiet and only birds or swimming water splashes from the swimming pool can wake you up in the morning. Convenience store is just right next to the resort and the beach is just across the street. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, massage shops there are even two travel offices nearby (take right when you exit the resort and on 400m distance you will see them) where you can buy tickets for ferry, train/bus back to Bangkok or other places) and local tours. Note that there is no tooth brush and toothpaste in the room but you can easily buy one in the 🏪. The place is not in downtown area so if you are planning to book a tour, the most likely you will be charged additional 300thb for pick up/drop off service.
We have just returned home from a fantastic stay at the Passage on Samui. The hotel and Staff are truly excellent and do everything to make sure that your stay is as perfect as possible. All Staff on the hotel was fantastic but Cat and Ben in the restaurant was just further fantastic – catering to all our needs and just very pleasant company to be around and enjoy some small talk with.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom ”villa” with a private pool and that was simply just perfect for our family vacation, we had a small ”kitchen” / lounge area besides the 2 bedrooms, where the kids often had dinner from room service.
The private pool is not very large, but it was very easy and nice for the kids to quickly jump into the pool and when we wanted more the hotel offered 3 large pools on the hotel grounds.
The hotel is right on the beach and right in front of the hotel the beach is clear of rocks and coral. - There are corals to both sides of the hotel and further out as well, which makes this beach very protected. When we stayed at the hotel the tide was out most of the day, which made the beach very shallow and not good for swimming, so for beach swimming we had to get up and complete this in the mornings.
Everything about this hotel we will highly recommend, both for families with kids, but also for adults seeking a nice, relaxed vacation - there are plenty of room for both at the same time.
The hotel is a bit away from everything else, so some kind of private transportation is highly recommended.

Moorea Samui is a fantastic new boutique bungalow-style resort in Bantai. Wow, what a great renovation of this property ! The owners have put a lot of effort into all the special , high-end details. The room was fantastic with top quality bedding and artistic furniture touches, and a great rain-shower. The Resort boasts an huge new pool with includes poolside service from the restaurant (Lou Lou's). Lou Lou's , by the way, has delicious food and service , try the burger and sushi ! Moorea Samui is really a nice getaway from all the basic little resorts in the area. This is a fantastic gem for the traveler seeking an upper market boutique retreat, privacy and great food. Attention to details at every turn. I'm impressed at this new retreat on Koh Samui. It's a nice 2 minute walk to the beach ... but with this atmosphere and friendly staff , I was happy to stay right at the Resort full time ! Definitely booking my family and friends for a group trip here later this year.

Excellent
This beach villa was incredible and offered fantastic value for the stunning view. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly, going the extra mile by noticing both of our birthdays from our passports and surprising us with birthday cakes on two occasions – a thoughtful, personal gesture. Toward the end of our stay, a lightbulb blew in our room, which wasn’t a big issue for us, but to apologize, they treated us to a floating breakfast/lunch by our pool. It was such a generous touch, especially since we hadn’t complained. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Koh Samui looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. The beach was almost entirely ours for the whole week! Also, we stayed in September and had sunshine all week despite the monsoon season.
AAaron MartinezWe stayed here for 4 nights. It is a beautiful location but in order to get back to any civilization it is about a 15 minute walk down a long road to the nearest 7/11. And to get a taxi to go anywhere is about 600 baht since there isn’t a lot of things to do around that area. The staff is so friendly! Lin, was always checking up on us everyday. Here at the hotel they have free snorkeling which is awesome and the water is clear enough to see fish! We loved doing that! Breakfast is great and after breakfast is done they switch to lunch and dinner menu which the food was also so good!
GGuest UserQuiet and amazing place to relax just a few steps from your door to the beach.
Delicious restaurant.
So kindly staff!
Once I’m back to Samui, I’m going to stay there again, for sure!
