Hotels near Meijibashi City Park, Kobe

Room and bed much larger than expected for a solo traveller like me at such a bargain. Vintage-style design with elements of clock faces seen throughout the hotel. I especially like how they use clock faces and clock arms to represent the floors the elevators are at. Local is convenient, close to the Sannomiya Subway station. The overall experience was great and I would consider booking this again if I had the chance to return to Kobe.

The place runs on central heating system in early April when it is already 20 degrees outside. There's just a tiny window in the room. Because the temperature in the room is high already, the heater will not run, but given there is no air con, there is literally no air flow in the room. Had to borrow a fan from reception to deal with it. The remote unit of the toilet system does not always work too.

The raw eggs and natto are the most luxurious breakfast I have ever had. The room is clean. It is a bit small for foreigners, but it should be medium in Japan. The transportation is very convenient. They provide Kose face products and other amenities at the counter during check in, different types of teabags and drip coffee at the restaurant opposite reception (and even a wine dispenser machine). There’s a fun chess set outdoors beside the restaurant. The room is basic but big with a sofa inside, desk is a little small. Was initially disappointed with their check in time at 5pm but they allowed me to check in at 4ish and even brought my luggage to my room! Great service!
