I found this place when I lived in Kirishima Onsen Village and tried to move to another place. Check-in at 4 o'clock.. I arrived early.. I got off at the nearest train station and picked up the service later, 4 check-in was a bit late. Because it is a residential area, you can't see anything near Yokan. On the contrary, it is really quiet, so it’s nice to rest. There are too many kaiseki dinners, I did not apply, I only applied for breakfast. The breakfast time was really good, I looked at the scenery outside~~The hot spring was too slippery.. The stone was too slippery. I enjoyed the hot spring very carefully. The location is not very good. . Most Japanese people come here.. Most of the staff can only speak Japanese.. When you stay in a ryokan, please show the important content printed in English Thank you very much for taking care of me.

Large common bath and open-air bath with 100% directly sourced water. Kaiseki cuisine with fresh, seasonal specialty ingredients.

We were blown away when we last visited Myoken Ishiharaso, but somehow, our stay last week was even more magical. From the enchanting settings to the Onsen quality to the incredible kaiseki cuisine to the professional, friendly and attentive staff, this is genuinely one of the iconic Onsen ryokans in all of Japan. One nice bonus - location wise, it's a mere 15 minutes by taxi from Kagoshima Airport, which is served by four domestic carriers and is a mere 2-hour flight from Tokyo Haneda or an even shorter 75 minute flight from Osaka Itami. Yes, you can easily do an overnight trip to Ishiharaso - just make sure to get there by 2PM (check-in time is an hour earlier than most ryokans), as you'll definitely want to maximize your time there. The thing we learned on our second trip had to do with the Onsen quality. We already knew that the hot springs at the property came straight from the nearby source, all baths were free-flowing (and overflowing), the overflow onsen were discharged and never recirculated. While it's not uncommon to have ryokans offer such quality, many of the high-end properties do provide it, and even in the rooms, like Ishiharaso does. But the goodness does not stop there. While many places call their onsen ”authentic,” Ishiharaso takes things a bit further: the precious hot springs nutrients are never diluted by adding tap water (which is often the case as a means to cool down the hot springs), have no exposure to air/oxygen until it runs into the bath, Alfa Laval (a French company) heat exchangers are used to control the temperature - it is a system that takes only thermal energy using mountain water. For these reasons and more, the onsen is distributed as it is from the source without being in contact with the air or adding a single drop of water to the hot springs. It's pure goodness at Myoken Ishiharaso. Also, the size of the bathtubs everywhere - in the rooms, in the communal baths and the rental baths (that can be rented privately by guests staying at the ryokan) - are determined based on the advise from experts based on the principle of one turn per hour - in order to meet hygiene standards for bathtubs. In other words, a bathtub that fills up in an hour is ideal. If you make a bathtub bigger than that, you will need to dilute it with water, circulate the water, and chlorinate it. Therefore, the size of the each of the onsen baths at Ishiharaso was decided according to the amount of onsen it can pipe into each bath. Finally - the in-room onsen are drained, meticulously scrubbed clean, and then refilled after each group of guests depart each room. They do the same daily for the communal and rental onsen baths as well. Myoken Ishiharaso's hot springs are called ”Bijin no Yu” (spring of beauty) thanks to bicarbonate spring (hydrogen carbonate and carbon dioxide) and metasilicic acid (a form of silicon dioxide, aka silica.) Hot springs with hydrogen carbinate are also composed of sodium, calcium and magnesium. Bicarbonate s

It was very clean and the bed was large and comfortable. I was worried that the refrigerator was small, but when I turned on the switch, it cooled properly and I was able to freeze the cold insulator to prevent heat stroke. Breakfast is bread, orange juice and coffee, but there was also a toaster and it was delicious.

Kagoshima Airport, the 13:40 3 bus departs on time, and arrives at Maruwei at 14:40 on time. The station is about 800 meters walk away. You can make an appointment to pick up the hotel in advance. The hotel is located on the bank of the valley stream, quiet and integrated with nature. The hotel mobile phone has no signal, only the lobby has WIFI, which makes people feel away from the world. When registering passport information, the uncle at the front desk brought welcome desserts and tea with salty basil. Hotel bathing beach, not only has a large bath, but also the open air wind for two people is limited to 30 minutes, the family pool is limited to 40 minutes, free but need to make an appointment in advance. The large bath space is large, separate men and women, each has an open air, the open air is sulfur springs and the sulfur smell is very heavy. A cloud of smoke spread, looking up at the starry sky. Our room balcony has a separate sulphur spring bubble tank, soaking in the morning and evening is very comfortable. The breakfast and dinner food is extremely rich, I call it ”October fullness.” The ingredients are fresh. The uncle at the front desk can speak a little English, we basically use pen strokes and write to complete communication. Because we only had two nights of accommodation, we went to visit the Wudao Shrine that day and the uncle at the front desk took us to the bus station very enthusiastically. The next day was arranged at Wudao Art Park. Because there was no bus, the front desk arranged for us to take a taxi, which was about 4200 yen one way. On the third day, the uncle of the hotel sent us to the bus station (there was a front desk reservation the night before to inform us of the departure time). Because Japanese buses are basically punctual, usually the time of delivery by the hotel is only about 3-5 minutes in advance. Very good hot spring experience, I really want to come again. Thank you, Give my parents and children such good memories!

I stayed with my elderly father. I didn't think there were many staff, but they put my luggage in the room and it was helpful. The room was large enough with a twin bed and a Japanese-style room with more than 10 tatami mats with a board. I can't deny the oldness around the water, but there was also a faucet for drinking water. Dinner is a restaurant with all-you-can-drink and has a menu of 、. The restaurant also has a high ceiling, chic and relaxing. The interior of shochu lined up on the wall was also nice, and many people took pictures. The contents of the meal were also served with a polite explanation. Especially good was that Sakurajima was seen from the large communal bath while the environment was in the mountains. I was able to realize again that I came to Kagoshima ~. The hot water was also soft and nice. If I could order one, I thought it would be okay to have citrus services in my room during the winter.

It is located in a quiet place with a winding road from the main road through Kirishima Onsen 1km. The number of rooms is 39 It seems that it is a room, and it feels like an old-fashioned small hot spring inn. The building and rooms were old, and the elevator was a retro push button type. The hot springs are rich in water, with sulfur springs and simple springs, and you can choose them according to your mood. In addition, there is a rental bath 4, and it was possible to make a reservation by phone in advance, so I made a reservation for the most popular ”Akamatsu no Yu” about 1 months ago, but the next morning 6 and 8 Only available did. 2 Moon Morning 6 It was still night, and I went while illuminating my feet with the flashlight I lent in the dark. The open-air bath surrounded by the forest was wonderful and I was able to relax. I wanted to enter in a bright environment when the season was a little better. Meals have been devised using local ingredients. Because the room rate is reasonable, it is not high-class, but it was able to be delicious by the dish which was added by the hand. When I checked out, I felt that it was an inn where I felt the warmth of a simple person in the Showa period throughout my stay, such as giving me a boiled * as a gift.

The room was renovated and the room was beautiful. A historic inn where Ryoma Sakamoto and famous literary masters stayed. I'm sorry I didn't take an open-air bath due to the typhoon, so I want to revenge someday. It was really comfortable with four kinds of hot springs, including sauna and water bath, all at the right temperature and hanging! I couldn't walk around the garden, but there are many exhibits in the hall, and it was good to be able to enjoy free drinks while watching the illuminated cedar forest from the lounge. It seems that there were many cancellations due to the typhoon, and there were few people and it was very comfortable. The large garden communal bath was fluttering with rain and wind. If you want to say it's too bad, I'd be happy if you had a free drink of freshly made coffee.

The Sherton Hotel in Kagoshima was an absolute gem of a hotel! This is our first visit to Japan, and we are admittedly nervous about the language barrier and cultural change from the US. From the moment we checked in, the staff has bent over backwards to make sure we are comfortable and have done a fantastic job to make this stay completely comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect right at the center of downtown Kagoshima, and the rooms, restaurants, and common spaces have more in common with a Four Seasons than with what is standard Sheraton in the US. We were not able to take advantage of the spa, but the Onsen (Hot Springs Sauna) was so relaxing and rejuvenating — especially after 26 hours of flights to get here! HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to the staff that has helped make our 4 days in Kagoshima a memorable experience! Now off to Hiroshima!

Kirishima Eternal Yado Isshin is located about an hour by car from the center of Kagoshima City and about 30 minutes from Kagoshima Airport. There are only 8 rooms, and we stayed in a standard room. There is an indoor bath and an open-air bath, and the open-air bath was especially pleasant. However, the only view from the open-air bath was the indoor garden, so I thought it would have been better if we could at least see the large pond of the inn. Dinner, one of the greatest pleasures, was fulfilling. Most of the nine course menus used ingredients from Kagoshima. The vegetables, fish, and meat produced in Kagoshima were all delicious. In particular, the sashimi assortment of fatty tuna, amberjack, and Kuroge Wagyu beef shabu-shabu were delicious and memorable. By the way, for drinks, I had 3 cups of Japanese sake ``Kokuryu Junmai Daiginjo in Fukui Prefecture''. Alcohol in Kagoshima is basically shochu made from sweet potatoes or brown sugar, so if you don't want to pair shochu with your food, you'll need to choose from about three types of sake or several types of wine. The person in charge of the service was a young woman. I wasn't able to speak or act like a seasoned proprietress, but I could tell that she was working very hard, and I was actually glad that she was fresh. Many of the dishes made with ingredients from Kagoshima were very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

GGuest UserI used it for the first time on a business trip. If you like hot spring ryokan, this Hanazura-san has a ”small guide” here and there in the hotel, and I liked the signboard lol. I hope you will continue to do your best. As you can see in the guide, the ryokan here can use the open-air and indoor baths for free if they are available. I was able to enter, and I was able to enjoy Yunohana. The room may feel a little dated, but I was able to rest on the fluffy futon. It wasn't cramped like a business hotel, and I was able to do my work at a large table without being affected by the Wifi speed. It seems that it is managed by a small number of people, so I can't help but ask that the inside of the hotel be well-cleaned, like a city hotel. It is also ventilated for virus countermeasures. I didn't have time to take all 4 baths, so I'd like to look forward to the rest at the next opportunity.

GGuest UserThe prefectural road from the airport was a mountain road with quite a few ups and downs. There was a lot of traffic, and honestly I thought it was far away. However, it was an accommodation that made me feel glad that I had come this far. The room was a two-room Japanese style room with a bed. There was also a garden and an open-air bath on the first floor. I could see the mountains of Kirishima and it was a soothing view. It was quiet and I didn't have to face other customers. As it is called a Japanese restaurant and inn, all the food was very delicious. As mentioned in other reviews, the miso-yaki large shrimp was so delicious that I wanted to eat more. All items are carefully crafted using local ingredients. Perhaps because the soup stock was good, the soy milk hotpot was rich and rich. It was quite a portion, but our family of four ate it all. Although it is quite far from Kanto, I would like to visit again to try this delicious food.

GGuest UserThere was a color 々 trouble at check-in, but I was able to have a good feeling in the sincere response. Also, the facility seems to be renovated from this month, but overall it was old, but on the contrary, I was able to spend a calm time with a retro feeling to the extent that I didn't particularly care. The hot springs were also color 々 and the first was buffet! When you enter the large venue, you will find a large plate near the entrance with crab feet! Inevitably, the tension was exploding, and each other dish was polite and very delicious. I would like to repeat it if I have the opportunity after the renovation is over.

DdoumotokyoThe balance of the facilities and services of the inn and the price is good It was an inn. I think the family trip with a small child is the best inn. If there are 5 baths, there is nothing to say. The service of the staff was also very pleasant. Thank you for taking care of me. On the other hand, I like a large bath that I put in at any time. It may also be related to the source, but I don't like the bath to walk outside. This time it was difficult to use especially in the night due to bad weather. I evaluated the negative point of not having an elevator and not a shower toilet.
