A nice resort with older bathrooms but renovated rooms. Water trips start right from the hotel. Otherwise the price is completely over the top plus a $40 resort fee, which is well over $300 per night just for one night.
In reality a motel, of course quality, clean and new, but at $235 it's expensive (well ok we're on the keys)
With a direct view of the overseas1, but you can't hear the traffic.
As the OHwy1 on Key Largo is almost a commercial area for 50km, all the shops are nearby.
Except if it is already dark and you want to see the landscapes (recommended) up to Key West, the question is why sleep in Key Largo, although mythically known?
4 stars. Great clean staff was friendly a little over priced we paid 158 plus resort fee and processing fee, if the price would have been a total 150 even would of been a great deal. No restaurant on property, no bar, and no security on property pillows in the room were terrible. On the good side friendly staff , updated, nice balcony comfy bed and very clean.

For $200 a night, I had a room that was no more than 500 feet off of A1A,... talk about hearing the cars, trucks & motorcycles go by... The room: while it was clean, sure is not up to date! There was duct tape in at least 2 locations in the bathroom; the bathroom light was an outdoor porch fixture (just without a yellow bug light); the bathroom door opened right into the room door; the gap between the floor and the door jam of the room door was ridiculous (could be used as a bright night light) - had to place towels along the bottom & hang one from the side to try & block out the light and some of the road noise; the air conditioning unit turned on every 2-7 minutes, ran for 1-10 minutes, pretty noisy; the fridge (which I didn't find until Friday night/Saturday morning when all of a sudden a very audible noise started and woke me up - had to turn it off), was hidden in the fake dresser drawers; the vanity mirror reminded me of one of those mirrors you see at a carnival (distorted); there were chipped floor tiles throughout the room; the gentleman at the front desk when I checked in was not what you would call overly friendly; Housekeeping did come in and make the bed and bring new towels and toiletries; there was a free ”continental breakfast” served both mornings (coffee & tea, bottled juice, packaged Danish, single serve yogurts, oranges); bed was comfortable; but the pillows were made for kids (maybe 2-feet in length - at least there were 4 of them so you could pile them together); and what's with short-sheeting the bed? I made my reservation and payment to Trip.com, but when I checked in the guy said I had to answer some Expedia questions!?

For one night stay, the hotel is very close to the diving park. When the check-in was left, the landlord stayed on the door. The surrounding environment is good. It is too late to check out.
Bay Harbor is magical, a refuge from real life that sits on the edge of the Gulf. The grounds and are a tropical paradise with a cozy, warm feeling. The accommodations are modern & surgically clean. The fresh, delicious scones offered every morning are the best you'll ever have. My only complaint are the crowded, invasive & annoying large iguanas. They should be removed so the balance of nature can be restored. They have replaced the beautiful birds that once dotted the shoreline.

MMorgan LOur second stay with them this year and we were happy to go back. Had the same room. Comfortable room with great A/C, full kitchen. WiFi is a bit limited, but that's true throughout Key Largo. Office staff is always friendly. All the staff is friendly. You set out the linens you need replaced and it's done quickly. Very convenient system. Amoray is close to everything. Excellent dive crew. Although their boat was out for updates, they made arrangements for me to dive with other operators. I knew this when booking the trip. They worked with me to arrange the dives I wanted with the operators I preferred. The ”boarding pass” system used by many of the KL operators is very efficient. I added a local guide for the trips (I've done KL several times, but like the local knowledge since they dive daily) and they provided Amoray staff. Tess, Capt. G, and Kalen were great dive buddies and guides. Each pointed out plenty of things I would have missed and made the dives much better. Look forward to staying at Amoray again and diving with them. Highly recommended.
EEileen026Turn off the main road into tranquility, gorgeous place, staff member Lucy is brilliant ,friendly and welcoming. The room was great with comfy bed, kitchen area and so clean , quiet area . Close to the private beach(room19) with clear water and peace . A place to escape the crazy world and find peace. Access to things to use of the water, bbq, seats and places to fish. Just one night we were there but we will definitely return. You will not be disappointed with this 5 star place
GGuest UserVery nice place to relax. I was in the Hidesway cabin and it was perfect for me. The resort was centrally located and easy to find. The grounds were immaculate. The cabin had everything I needed and was also spotless and kept clean. Breakfast items were available every day and included in the price. Restaurants were located within walking distance. Had a beach area but mainly just to step in and cool off your feet. A dock was their also with chairs so you could relax, read, or just gaze at the sunset and view the boats. Would go back again.
GGuest UserWe stayed for 2 night which was not enough! The hotel room was spacious, clean and modern with a view over Hammock beach. Delicious buffet breakfast at Calusa... We ate lunch at Dry Rocks... delicious fresh salads, Tacos etc. The staff were very accommodating..
We loved both beaches... coconut beach had lots of sun beds, lots of shade and the sea was lovely and warm. We did paddle board, kayaking and loved it!!
Perfect for couples, families etc...
Great hotel. Can’t wait to go back.
GGuest UserGreat location and good facilities. Staff really friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Rick the GM runs a really good hotel here. In places the hotel is a little dated but it’s made up by the staff and facilities. Whilst we were staying they popped a letter to us apologising that they needed to do a small repair to the patio doors and made sure it was a convenient time to do it and gave us a breakfast vouchers for the troubles. Can’t wait to stay again.
NNINGDuring the day, playing in Key West is rather embarrassing. The next day, I plan to go to the Everglades early in the morning. It is more appropriate to stay in Key Largo in time and place. Hotel location, the environment is very good, after the lake, and its own beach. Sunbathe on the sun loungers, drink, watch the sunset, watch the scenery, birds and lizards, and completely liberate your mind and body. Hotel service is not bad. The downside is that the air conditioning is too noisy and affects rest. This is not unique to this hotel, but a common problem of the same type of hotel in the United States. There is also a small shower in the bathroom shower, and the shower is not refreshing. In the peak season, the price is still expensive. Of course, Key West is more expensive. So I imagine that there should be a lot of planning trips like this: It is estimated that I will plan to stay in Kilago for one night, plus friends who like water sports. With so many hotels on the island, the price will naturally go up. In short, it is worthy of this house price, especially on weekends. If you want to be cheap, you can only make a reservation as soon as possible. 😁😁
This was our second stay at this location. As we drove up to park, we could see signs that re-modeling efforts were currently underway. While the hotel shows signs of many guests, it does so gracefully. Our room was updated with new paint and accommodations. We enjoyed the many activities nearby and not having to drive to other locations. Having breakfast overlooking the harbor, watching the fishing charters idle by was a pleasant start to the day. We enjoyed the pool and having the restaurant right by, they even delivered to guests at the pool side. I spoke with Laura at the front desk, and she was very helpful in answering all our questions. The staff were very friendly and as we walked by, they all greeted us with a smile and ”Good Morning”. Laura made us feel welcomed and asked if there was anything we needed, to contact her. Thanks to all the staff and we will return in the future.
The average price for hotels in Key Largo is US$504 on weekdays, and US$581 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
