I genuinely have no idea why this place scores so well on TA. Sure, it’s not at all expensive but I’d much rather pay more and not have: - A really steep climb up to most rooms. - A really poor standard of room (which was billed as a suite). Travel Lodges and Premier Inn’s have bigger bathrooms and better air con! - Painfully slow service at breakfast and at their bar/restaurant across the road. Probably because the kitchen is on the other side of the road, or up the hill. The front entrance of the resort and the reception look great but it’s a mirage.

We had the loveliest week at San Antonio Resort, the rooms were perfect, so clean, comfortable and very nicely presented with the most fabulous views from the balcony. The resort is quiet but that’s what we wanted. I cannot praise the staff enough, all of them, they were so welcoming and helpful. It was also so nice to be served drinks and food from the comfort of your own sunbed on the beach. I highly recommend Callao the restaurant which is part of the hotel, the food is so good that we dined there a lot during our stay, great manager and again fabulous staff. We were happy to stay around the resort making use of the lovely pool and the nearby beach. We will definitely return.

Top notch stay. Very friendly and supportive staff. Facilities were beautiful and newly renovated. Multiple pool facilities. Breakfast which was included was one of the best I’ve had. The beach access was great and the facilities there were great. Good wifi throughout. Perfect stay for a couple. Highly recommend anyone traveling to Corfu stay here.

Amazing room. Amazing views on the Kalami bay and we could see The White House restaurant (the Durells house). Super luxurious hotel with two pools one on the ground floor/sea level, the other one on the top roof with magnificent views onto the bay and on the Med. breakfast buffet were out of this world, with so much variety and to suit all dietary requirements. The hotel is located on a steep hill, with quite a few steps. So if you are not able and fit be aware. There is a buggy that takes you to the mid way point where the lifts are, but still. You need to walk up stairs to get to your room unless you are on the lower levels. The beach is just outside the hotel gate at the bottom level. You have to pay €15 a day for two sunloungers and a complimentary drink, we did not use them as we were based at the pool and went to the sea when we fancied a dip in the Big Blue. We loved it so much that I booked another week next summer in August again. Sun, Sea and Seafood galore in August. Perfect bliss. Slight downside, the distance to the airport, so the transfer could be expensive by taxi, we did it by Autocar from the airport (fraction of the price of a taxi, slightly longer though as the bus stops in various towns to drop off holidaymakers). Kalami bay by far the best bay on Corfu. We rented a car through the hotel at a very reasonable price for 24h to tour the island, that’s why we can say Kalami is a hidden gem and I hope it stays this way. It is very low key with a handful of restaurants and not a very boisterous nightlife. But that’s what we liked! Go elsewhere on Corfu if you want to dance or go out in bars at night. Quaint and quiet pace in Kalami 💕

Just returned from the hotel after a week's stay with my husband. The hotel is very well maintained and the rooms are stylish. Our room (508) was on one of the highest levels and had an amazing view from the large balcony. The room was clean and modern and the bed very comfortable. We found the bathroom set up a bit odd at first as there is no privacy from the main part of the room as the glass shower door opens up into the bedroom. Fine for a couple but could be awkward if staying with a friend. There was a proper hairdryer provided and a kettle and nespresso maker. The upper pool and pool bar was lovely with amazing views. We managed to get Sunbeds no problem each day but I can imagine it gets tricky in high season. We also used the beach sun beds one day for €15 for two. The hotel is built into the hillside so it's very steep getting up to your room but we found it fine as a couple in our early 50's. From the main entrance there is a steep driveway up to the reception area and then you continue up the steep hill to the lifts which then take you up 5 floors . ( you could get a ride in a buggy up to the lifts if you wanted to ) There is then another small set of steps that take you up to the pool and another long flight of steps that took us up to our room. Above our room was another set of steps which take you to the main road above Kalami and the top parking area. So yes lots of climbing but we didn't find it difficult at all. Parking is available at the top of the hill and also down in Kalami in the reserved spaces just before the main entrance or in the first carpark that you see as you drive into the village. Breakfast was good but the service could be friendlier. We did find the service in the restaurants slightly lacking even though the food in both was great. The chef is clearly very talented but the service didn't quite match up. We wondered if this was just because it was end of season and everyone was winding down. We had a lovely and peaceful holiday and wouldn't hesitate to book again next time we plan a trip to Corfu.

My mum & I spent a week at San Antonio Resort, Kalami at the beginning of October. We were impressed by the standard of cleanliness in the hotel & communal areas, and the location in Kalami was perfect for a relaxing break. There were 3 or 4 tavernas to choose from in Kalami, & more in neighbouring bays (though not all were open in the evenings as it was the last week in the season). The restaurants at the hotel served delicious food, and breakfast offered a wide choice of hot & cold dishes (including plenty of veggie/vegan options). Being the only hotel open in the bay mean we often bumped into other guests at the different tavernas, which gave it a friendly atmosphere. The hotel staff were helpful with making bookings for various places. We caught the local service bus to Corfu Town which was a bit of a mission on the return journey as the bus leaves from the main Green Bus terminus which is about a 15-20 min walk from the main town: booking a boat trip would have been more straightforward and fun, although, admittedly, not the cheapest option. We hired a motor boat for the day from The White House (from €80 plus fuel, with price increase for more powerful motors). This was great fun and a highlight of the trip. The 2 pools at the hotel were very chilly & we didn't quite make it in, but the sea was clear & calm so we spent most days on the beach instead (beach shoes for pebbles made it much easier to access the water). Sunbeds were €15 for 2 per day which we didn't mind paying (often the case on European beaches), though I know some people feel they should be free for hotel guests. A bottle of water & a coffee were included. There have been several posts that mention the hill/slope from the hotel reception/breakfast room to the lifts, which could be a drag for people with mobility issues, or for those who tire easily walking up hill. My 77 year old mum managed it (albeit with occasional stops on hotter days), but there was always the offer of a lift in a golf-cart if we wanted it. All in all, a very pleasant, relaxing stay and good value for money. We hope to come back again sometime.

Facilities are spotless and clean, the staff was welcoming and eager to assist any query. And to top it off, got a surprise hamper for my bday upon our return to the room after a day's excursion. What a nice gesture.
