Hotels near Crkva, Kastav

The twin beds were tiny. The A/C was miserable and may as well not have been there. But the worst was the shower; only a shower wand and no way to control it. I started with it on the fixed rod but it had a mind of its own and it decided to spray the entire contents of the bathroom when I turned it on. When I tried to take control I found that the handle was not attached to the wand so it still had the freedom to spray the room until I grabbed the actual spray head. I'm not sure why every hotel has to have a different shower experience, but I glad to be back in my own. If you have the ability to choose a different hotel, I would recommend doing so.

The hotel is in great location with view on charming Angiolina Park and the sea. From the balcony I could hear the concert of Norah Jones :-). Home made apple pie and berry cake (I ate both of them - 👌) are really home made. Big portions for two, and the price was surprisingly low (something over 2 euro per portion !!! in Croatia you don;t find such prices). And really nice lovely waitress - good english language. The guy playing concert was really good and most important his performance did not disturb our conversations at the tables. Will be back for an extended week in August.

This is a friendly and comfortable hotel, within easy reach of Lovran village and a pleasant coastal walk away from Opatija. I went with Just You Holidays for solo travellers and so was part of a fairly large group. My room was a good size, included a fridge with minibar and also a kettle (no tea or coffee provided). The bathroom was fine, with shower over bath. I had paid extra for a sea view, and was very glad I’d done so, as it was lovely to sit on my balcony looking at the sea. I got beautiful sunrises every morning. The rooms facing the road would have quite a bit of traffic noise and fumes, whereas I was able to keep my balcony doors open all the time. My only criticism about the bedroom is that the carpet is worn and in need of a clean. Otherwise, everything was spotless. There are 3 pools: 2 outdoor and one inside, also a wellness centre and gym which I didn’t use. The adult pool outside was salt water, which I liked. Plenty of sunbeds around the pools and in the garden, but that side of the hotel is in the shade from mid-afternoon. The beach to the left of the hotel, 5 minutes walk away, stayed sunnier for longer and personally I enjoyed swimming in the sea. It’s pebbly, so take or buy water shoes. The water is wonderfully clear and clean. Breakfast was good, with an excellent variety of foods. The dinners were ok, nice salads, but not much hot food choice for vegetarians. Plenty of fish. It was pretty standard package holiday hotel fare. Some of us went out to the harbour a couple of evenings, just for the joy of eating by the water and having waiter service! I would definitely return if staying in this part of Croatia, and I hope to explore more of that beautiful country.

We recently stayed at Hotel Istra Opatija for a fallbreak getaway, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The breakfast buffet was abundant and offered a wide variety of options. The bar also served excellent cocktails and delicious meals. Our room was spacious, and the facilities were in line with the money we spent. However, what truly stood out for us was the range of sports activities included in the hotel's services. This was the primary reason for choosing this hotel, and it didn't disappoint. We had the pleasure of meeting the trainer, Ana, who was brimming with energy and positive vibes. She tailored the activities perfectly to our fitness levels and needs. Usually, we don't spend much time in the hotel while on vacation, but this time it was almost impossible to leave because we were so well-entertained on the premises. Even the less-than-ideal weather didn't bother us, as the hotel had so much to offer. In summary, if you plan to visit Opatija, you absolutely must stay at Hotel Istra.

I have to get the key in another place, so even if it's close to the location, it's a waste of time to go back and forth. ㅠ Usually, I'm exhausted to get to the hostel. ... The facilities are clean but there was a toilet paper that others used Staff is friendly too

The villa is located right on the main street and about 3min from the sea. The villa has a parking place behind the house. (Costs are charged, extra charged) The rooms are large and clean. They have air conditioning, a water cooker and a mini bar. Although there is a furnace in the room, its performance is unfortunately not enough for long hair. Need to take furnace with you! The service is really great. Ladies and gentlemen in service, whether breakfast, reception or cleaning, are very friendly and premature. Breakfast offers everything you need and it is permanently made everything. From 7 to 10 you have full choice. I can't say anything negative about the villa itself and the service. You just need to be aware that the accommodation is a accommodation that has no pool and no beach section! So who plans a bathing holiday should look elsewhere. It is directly accessible to the public beach in 3min, but the beds cost a property. Also, every toilet and shower are charged there. But if you want to explore the National Park, have planned walks and bike tours, I can recommend the Villa Good of the heart to all who want a quiet, small and service-oriented accommodation.
