Very odd place. There are long, long deserted, dark corridors. Our room had non-working outlets, makeup mirror, and hairdryer. The door's chain lock was pulled out of the wall and just hung there. The large bed was covered with a twin size comforter. The room was very dated. The grounds needed attention with lots of weeds. The unheated pool was pretty, but too cold to swim in. The gift shop (expensive by any standard, not just Turkey's) and spa employees were uncomfortably aggressive. The weirdest part was the dining room. There were so many food choices, but much of it was tasteless and inedible. The hotel had guests from all over the world, and it appeared that they tried to provide many different cuisines, but none of it was good. Then there's the lounge singer on a keyboard playing American hits from the 1970's. And then the photographer came around taking pictures at each table, like you're on a Love Boat cruise. I wouldn't have been surprised to see Captain Stubing and Julie the cruise director.
