The room was clean and comfortable. Sitting in the lobby and around the swimming pool is very comfortable, you can be in a daze all day long! The surrounding environment is very good. There is a lake next to the hotel and a small hill opposite. Wake up in the morning and listen to the birds singing, by the way, there are many crows here😄

From the moment we arrived at this hotel, the service was truly excellent. We arrived early, but were still able to check in. We were greeted with cold refreshing coconut drinks and snacks, and the most helpful, lovely staff. Our room was beautiful, very stylish, with a small balcony, lovely bathroom (great toiletries!) and extremely comfortable bed. Perfect! The breakfasts were delicious, such a varied choice of food, with good coffee! We are vegan but there was plenty for us to eat. Day 2 we had freshly prepared hoppers filled with lentil dahl - so yummy! Location is ideal, very close to the lake and not far from the train station. We bumped into a gentleman who works at the hotel when we were out exploring (he was off-duty at the time but recognized us from when we checked in) and he was SUPER helpful, walking with us for a while, pointing out some interesting places to go, and he even helped us buy tickets for a traditional dance show. We were only in Kandy for 2 nights, but really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Highly recommend.

The atmosphere on the first floor is very good, the buffet breakfast and dinner are okay, but the steak is a bit old, and there are many kinds of tea ☕️, but the room is still a bit small! I just didn’t expect the room to have Chinese power sockets, it should be specially designed for people from different countries in advance

When I opened the room, there was a musty smell. Since it was a view room with a curtain wall on the exterior, the windows could not be opened. The air conditioner had to be turned on at full power for half an hour before the musty smell gradually dissipated.
The location is not far from the top of the mountain, far away from Kandy Lake, and the lake cannot be seen from the rooftop observation deck. The facilities are okay, the service attitude is okay, and the food tastes great.
Overall not recommended.

The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

The environment is much better than in Kandy. Going through a bumpy road. It's very gray. Sometimes it's blocked. The hotel was nice to check in early when we checked in that day. As the brother of the Tutu bus in Colombo was too enthusiastic to help us buy a seven-point train ticket, the next morning at breakfast, Ms. Checkin came over to say one of the reservations. To make up the difference. I think the hotel in Sri Lanka is curious that the price for one and two people is different. Later, the difference was more expensive than Ctrip. I still feel uncomfortable. She did n’t say when she checked in. Breakfast was okay. I ’m not quite used to the buffet here. The fried egg brother opened my stack of fried eggs by hand. The fruits are all papaya and watermelon. They are not very rich. The floor-to-ceiling window of the restaurant was not like that when I booked. There are three glass pieces in the middle. Bedding was more comfortable. Kandy was dirty and messy overall. I did n’t think I would come back, and the room had a balcony.

This is our 4th visit. It has now become a regular feature in our tour itinerary. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of central kandy and yet be within a convenient motorable distance, this is the place for you. The service is personal with a butler. The place is exquisitely clean. The background music in the restaurant is hauntingly beautiful. And it IS in the background. Our room had the most comfortable bed i have slept in anywhere. The bathroom is the best designed i have come across. Front office manager mr udaya and the butler miss niluka, deserve special mention. We shall surely return. Dr asoka weerakkody

QQiongqiongGood for value. The room is clean and spacious. Tthe owner is friendly. They prepared morning tea before our one day tour to Sigiriya. They also helped to arrange the driver and taxi.
It is on a hill. Tuktuk took only 200 LKR one way but not many are willing to go. Walking takes about 15 min, which is ok for us, and we walked for most of time. Shower water pressure is low but it’s warm. Wifi signal is weak.

GGuest User.The hotel is beautiful..located just around a 10 minute walk along the lake from Temple of the Tooth basically out of the hotel and turn right and keep walking and you cannot miss it! The staff we think went completely above and beyond for us on our stay.. We got scammed down at the market and when we told the Manager /Owner he was clearly upset that this had happened to us in Kandy. He helped us out by ringing the police etc. Also the restaurant man Neval also was lovely and friendly and even came to see if we were OK when he saw us on his way home in town! All staff are fantastic and a credit to the hotel. The hotel itself is just gorgeous.. Very well decorated. Our room was very luxurious. A massive bed looking out to the lake which was the most comfortable bed we have slept in whilst we have been here. The views from our huge verandah attached are spectacular also. We had a delicious breakfast also..fresh fruit.. Fresh juice.. Toast..omelette.. Cakes and jams and fresh tea. Gorgeous. If we are ever in Kandy again we will definitely be back! Thank you to all staff for helping us and making our stay so much more memorable.

The single, only problem I had was the waiter at the restaurant kept asking me, “are you okay, is everything good?” literally every 2 minutes. After saying “yes, thank you” multiple times, he stands there and starts a conversation, and once, just stands there and looks at me. The only thing I want to do is eat my food in peace. Lastly, after the only thing he brought me was a cappuccino (as it was a buffet so I fetch my own food), I gave a 1000 lkr tip. He was visibly upset with this and his over-friendliness completely disappeared. I didn’t dare to go back to the restaurant after this. Food was good, however!

Booked room only so cannot comment on the hotel food, but plenty of eating places around and just 10 minutes to the Railway station. The entrance to the hotel can be crowded as it is with the pavement and there are street hawkers selling goods, but safe all the same and you get lots of cheap stuff that you can buy along the pavement. The hotel rooms are rather small but have the basic amenities in place and should be ok for couples. This hotel has easy access to the ATM nachines, supermarkets and bakeries. The shopping center is very close and even the historical sights light the Temple of the tooth is walking distance. Parking may be a problem for those coming in vehicles although I am sure the Hotel can arrange this for you. Please check though before booking. All in all a good stay, no hassles.

PPhilip StrangI really enjoyed this hotel. It is directly across the street from the Sacred Tooth Temple. In front of it is a beautiful lake. It's great for a walk. The hotel itself is very cool because of the antique charm. I have never seen anything like it. It is a unique experience if you're looking for obe.

VVonnyclareStaff were wonderful, so helpful and took time to help me plan a full day as I only had one day in Kandy. They also gave me suggestions for my trip after Kandy also. The gym was fantastic to have and the pool. Kettle and fridge in the rooms. Located very near to the city Centre of Kandy. Really worth the reasonable price! Really personal touch…much appreciated! Would totally recommend!
