Very Good

Location: It's not the most attractive neighborhood but it's extremely convenient to the beach and the other sights of Kamakura. Property: It's big enough to accommodate six and the charm of staying in a 70 year old Japanese style house can't be overstated. The host lives next door and is very accommodating. However, anyone above 5'7"/170cm tall should be very comfortable with stooping and never wear a brimmed hat inside. You will bang your head on a door frame at least twice. Also, the toilet is not adjacent to the shower--it's a bit of a trek across the house in fact. Amenities: Everything you could expect except a toaster. Wifi. Laundry. Lots of extra futons. Cleanliness: Here's where it loses a point. There's grime in the corners. Needs a bit of a deep clean.

Wonderful and charming little place within a short walk from the station. Highly recommended for a quick visit in Kamakura. The host was very accommodating and the traditional ryokan is a great way to experience small town Japan. There is wifi and beer available.
Response from Property: Thank you staying for at Kamakura Rakuan. If you come to Kamakura again, I would be happy if you could stay at Kamakura Rakuan. Have a nice trip in Japan

I really liked the atmosphere of Kamakura, and the lovely old house. You can feel like you're living in Kamakura, surrounded by a quiet street of houses. The whole building is for rent, so there are many rooms and it's spacious. The kitchen is well equipped, so for dinner we bought as much food as we wanted from the convenience store, heated it up in the kitchen, and ate it in the dining room. It's close to the station and easy to get to. The beach is also close by. We used the inn as a base to go sightseeing at Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and Enoshima. I'd like to stay here again next time!

He is a friend of the manager. He had always said that he wanted to run a guesthouse in Kamakura, and now his dream has come true. I stayed here with some friends from high school. As it is an old house, it has a nice Japanese atmosphere and was a very comfortable place. The cool breeze of Kamakura comes in from the Japanese-style room on the second floor, which is perfect for a good night's sleep! Due to circumstances, I was unable to stay overnight, but next time I would like to stay and relax. If you are looking for a place to stay in Kamakura, please try this guesthouse. The friendly manager will welcome you.
