There are no plugs on both sides of the bed for customers to plug in and charge the battery when lying on the bed. Plugs to the row behind the TV. If the customer doesn't bring their own three eyes plugs, I will immediately stop playing on the phone or working on the bedside! 🥲

The check-in was quite slow as the receptionists could not speak English very well. I was also asked to pay a cash deposit that was returned to me upon check-out. The room itself was very basic, but it did have a balcony. The size of the bed was okay and I was able to get a reasonable night's sleep. There are no English language channels, no safe deposit box, and no coffee making facilities. The bathroom was quite dirty and had no shower curtain separating the shower from the toilet. The water pressure was also poor. The breakfast wasn't good and really not worth trying. The price I paid for my room was very reasonable and I suppose you get what you pay for. However, would I stay here again? No. Pros: a good size bed, balcony. Cons: poor water pressure, no shower curtain, awful breakfast, lack of English spoken among staff, no English language channels, no safe deposit box, no coffee making facilities.

- Good location, near the market, near convenience stores (about 500 meters), easy to find food - In the room there are complete items such as refrigerators, kettles, hair dryers, cool air conditioners. - The hotel has fresh coffee. (included with breakfast) Notice 1. There is no elevator. If there is a big bag, it will be inconvenient. 2. There are not many parking spaces (about 10 cars). 3. The lights in the room are not bright. Not suitable for working 4. The drain in the bathroom is slowly draining

We stayed there every year for 7-10 nights. After tomorrow we are there again. It’s very simple there, but very clean and the stuff is super friendly. I like the rooms there very much. It’s perfect and very easy to park the car. Happy to be there after tomorrow. 🙏

Strong insecticide vapors blown into our room from the central aircon; we had to change hotels near bedtime because insecticide is toxic. Restaurant closed; had to eat at a table near the pool where the seat was too low. Food quality poor compared to how it was before they closed it, although at least it was included free in the room price. They said they were doing ”pest control” in the restaurant, the reason it was closed. How it got into the central a/c is anyone's guess. Unstable wifi. Old outlets on 3rd floor would not accept a US 3-wire plug, even though the ones on the 8th floor were fine; floors 4-9 were closed. I have always stayed on the 8th floor and suspect other floors were closed then. Construction noise in the room and breakfast area during the day and early evening. Relined bathtubs had cracks in the new lining, exposing some black stuff (mold?). New manager seemed callous about problems, including the insecticide problem. The third floor elevator area was filled with construction tools and debris when we arrived. 30 years ago, it was the nicest hotel in town, the only 4-star, but the owners did not keep it up. Now they could film The Shining there. I have stayed at this place several times in the past 7 years and been satisfied. I was always given a room on the 8th floor, which was ok, if shabby. It appears to have been sold to new management, who wants to have customers during renovation (which it desperately needs). My guess is that the new management will do the minimum amount of renovation to keep it open. There is a nightclub, massage parlor, barbershop, and more on the first floor, but they have all been closed for years. The elevator has tape over the 1 button. Location is about 1km from the bus station at the edge of the city center. Walking around the city center requires the 1km walk first (and last) to the edge; no taxis or tuk-tuks around hotel, and not many in the city center. Nearest restaurant is about 700m away. It does have a nice pool suitable for lap swim or children, but I wonder if it is being maintained properly during the construction. They really should have closed the hotel for a year or two for major renovations. I suggest not staying there in 2023 at least, maybe 2024.

+ Good soft mattress and pillows. + Close to some food shops for breakfast/lunch. + Kind receptionists. + Good air-conditioning. + Cheap laundry service (washing only) for 30 baht. - Noisy birds near the hotel. They are loud all night long, and the hotel room has no windows that can be closed (open glass slats with a bug screen in front). Nobody in Kalasin knows of a place to rent a motorbike. Therefore we shortened our stay and moved on.
