Simple hotel but super convenient, close to JR train station and there are many eateries nearby. The hotel even includes a complimentary buffet breakfast, nothing fancy but just a nice touch to start your day. Room is proper and clean. Note that the train station nearby is JR Wakayama station and not Wakayama-shi (Wakayama city) station on the private train line. I made a mistake myself and had to get here by another train ride. This is a very pleasant town. If you have time, take the JR line to Kishi station (貴志駅) to see its famous cat manager Tama.

I chose it because there is a large hot spring bath. It is close to Wakayama Station and there is a station behind the hotel, so it is convenient because you can enter and exit even in the early morning. the wakayama castle is over looking from the elivator and maybe some rooms can see it also .. but sad to say the room is not so clean,,, lot of dust we found on bed board...

First of all, I was guided to breakfast at check-in. Because it was a Bon Festival time, there was a paste that the breakfast time was early in the elevator, but it was guided at the front desk at the usual time. Under the corona, the locker of the bath was pulled out, but when the locker without the key was opened and asked the front desk whether it was possible to use it, it was answered that it did not get the point. When I used it for family ３ people and asked the front desk for breakfast tickets without a number of people and confirmed that it was okay and went to the breakfast venue, I was told that ”the breakfast ticket is not enough １ pieces”. I thought that the front desk was on the upper floor and it was surprising to go up to the upper floor once when I checked out. As a concept of the whole Candeo Hotels, it is called ”unique ４ stars”, but it has somehow lacking impression that it does not become ５ stars.
