鹿児島市内、繁華街ど真ん中にあるかごしまプラザホテル天文館です。 連休中でしたが、物凄く安く宿泊できました。 シングル禁煙(12平米)です。 部屋は機能的でwifiのつながり良かったです。 ロビー無料でコーヒーや紅茶等のドリンク頂けます。 アルコール消毒も各フロアに設置してあり安心でした。

The hotel itself felt to be a little too rich and classy than what I’m normally used to (not a bad thing). I didn’t give the full 5 for location mainly since the hotel sits on top of a hill within the city, walking is kinda out of question unless your up for winding incline up and down the hill. There are included transportations though which is nice and the trade off being the gorgeous views of the city and volcano (sakurajima) that sits across the water. There are also included restaurants, stores, bath, lounges, and even a convenience store built into the hotel too which was nice.

It locates near the bus terminal and Kagoshima Chuo Station, there is a Lawson at G/F. Airport bus can stop at the entrance of the hotel. It is very convenient for travelers. The room is cozy but not very spacious, though it is a good choice for short stay for several nights.

Convenient location, especially if you arrive in Kagoshima by JR or the Shinkansen - obviously, as this is a JR Kyushu Hotel. The facilities were well furnished, and the breakfast from the restaurant was also nice. Comfortable stay overall - I'll certainly stay here again if I come to Kagoshima next time!

Hotel is a bit far from train station but they do provide free shuttle bus service. The hot springs bath is located on the top floor with good view of the volcano mountain. You can enjoy the views while taking the bath. There are also many shopping and entertainment complexes close by.

The hotel is very good, clean and hygienic. Opposite the hotel is 711 and Lawson, and there is a freshly made bento. The hotel breakfast and lunch are very good! There is a bus terminal in Kamoike Port 300 meters away, and there are many taxis (the hotel can help call, and the taxi to the city center is 2200 yen). Also, the view of Kinko Bay from the room was wonderful, and there was a beautiful beach right in front of me, so I thought it was a perfect location for swimming in the summer. However, there is no bathtub, and there are no hot spring facilities at the adjacent roadside station, so as a Japanese person who prefers bathtubs, I feel a little unsatisfied. The multipurpose lounge on the first floor was very calm, well-designed, and very comfortable. Here, they provided free services such as coffee and miso soup, as well as a microwave and toaster, all of which were of good quality. It can be made of paper, so I think it will be easier to use if you have cutlery such as plates, spoons, and chopsticks. There's also a coin laundry and a small market space, which I felt was put into place with a lot of thought. I think the issue is the negative relationship between the local community and the hotel. I thought that the area would automatically be revitalized by the establishment of a hotel, and I felt that hotels were leaving all aspects of the area to the area, and there was not much cooperation between them.
