Villa Jericoacoara - la Villa Group

Let’s start with a big plus : the decoration of the hotel is very nice . Something rare in Jeri where most places are tacky. Staff overall is also nice. Two big negatives : 1) no attention is paid to COVID at all. Staff at the bar or the restaurant do not wear masks most of the time ( except for breakfast strangely ) I informed the reception but it brought no change. Basically the guy will bring your food smiling with no mask . Barmen are the most conspicuous of this total lack of care. 2) we did not have one single day ( 7 days in total) where we could enjoy hot water for both morning and evening. Despite numerous complaints nothing happened. It’s clearly an installation problem . Our last day we had no water neither in the morning nor in the evening. This can happen one or two days but NOT during 7 days ! Otherwise in no particular order : - our room ( number 3 , very small ) had no bed-side lamps which is a pitty. You have to get up to put out the light of you want to read before going to sleep…. - Food in the restaurants is good but over-priced even by Jeri standards and takes forever to get to your plate.( i even canceled an order once ) - Music play lists are not very adapted to the time of the day and sometime played very loud in the wrong place where you want to relax like by the little pool on the side of La Villa Praia. - Finaly, the place can sometime look like a kindergarten from the number of screaming kids by the pool so forget about the “zen environment” promoted by the hotel that some guests are looking for. But then again la Villa Jeri is not for adults only ..
