Hotels near Zhuilu Old Road, Hualien

When booking online, you can only add the information of one person. We booked a room with two double beds for 3 people. When we arrived at the hotel, we were asked to pay extra. They said we should add the information of two people, but they did not allow us to add the second person online. Personal information, I am really unhappy and feel like I have been cheated.

The place is comfortable, tidy and clean, the room is well lit, and the proprietress is kind. Because of the epidemic situation, it is impossible to eat in the restaurant, but the homestay still has a rich and delicious breakfast 😋😋 (intimately packed in a box to keep it clean)👍👍

Have to write a good review about this hotel. It's a great hotel for exploring Taroko National Park (takes two hours by train from Taipei, $12 each way). The hotel is in the style of a traditional Japanese Inn (sort of), basic but extremely nice. Great breakfast, you can buy bus passes 150 TW to take you into the mountains. It is full of very interesting furniture, art, has a small garden in the back with a few cats, really lovely. You need to take a taxi from the main train station, cost $500 TW. Cost of the hotel was about $100 U.S. a night. Not a lot around the hotel but Taroko National Park is fantastic, highly recommend it.

The breakfast is rich and has a high CP, which is in line with the taste. The air conditioner has a silent function which is super special! The whole place is super quiet. After asking, I found out that there was a special selection and it was updated shortly! Lucky! The toilet is separated from wet and dry, and the invisible shower curtain can be pulled down to cover it. It was very considerate to help introduce the surrounding environment and tour itinerary. Very friendly and feels very local! There are bicycles you can rent to walk around the old streets and the beach is very close.

The landlady is very enthusiastic. The breakfast she cooks is delicious and has many changes. The boss is also very funny. The room is very clean and comfortable. You can also rent ATVs at the B&B. Guests can play at a discounted price. I will stay here next time I go to Hualien.

All in all, the name ”Qinhai Pavilion”, the order of room types recommended by Ctrip, and the similarity between the large blue sky and the sea in the sample pictures are easily misleading. The hotel pursues an environmental protection policy, so towels and slippers are naturally not satisfactory. Other hardware is relatively new, there is no bottled water but there is a minibar (the specialty lemonade and tea are good). The breakfast is rich and has certain characteristics, but the space is a bit cramped when there are many people 3. Although it is only a small point, I still want to mention it: the hotel does not have a concierge service to deliver luggage to the room. As a newly opened hotel, this one is not as humane as many old hotels in Kaohsiung, Taipei. Of course, travelers can carry their luggage for a long journey, but being able to easily walk into the room empty-handed is a comfort during the journey.

When we arrived at the hotel that night, we asked the receptionist to help us check in, but the receptionist asked us to check in on the machine ourselves. As a result, we had to shuttle back and forth between the two buildings without being able to check in. Later, we returned to the previous one. At the counter, I asked the lady to check in. She said there might be something wrong with the machine, dizzy😵💫. In addition, I booked a room for two people and a room for one person, a total of two rooms. When the receptionist gave us the key card, she did not tell us that the room was a large one and a small room. It was not until the next day that I found out that the two people lived in a small room. Room, I think she should tell us about this. Two people can live in a large room without being so crowded. There was also no drinking water in the room, and the front desk staff didn't tell them in advance. Later, we called to inquire and found out that it was on the first floor. The hotel should have let passengers know this in advance, but they didn't. This was a terrible travel experience.
