Resort is an inflated term. Pool closed, spa closed, rooms are upstairs but there is no elevator so be ready to carry your bags. Small washer and dryer in the sauna room, outdated fitness equipment. Weird 'token' system for using the 'resort' things like washer or sauna.Interesting little game area downstairs, a couple kayaks and bikes to rent. Few real amenities that would make this a ”resort”. It's a decent hotel. The rooms are clean but the windows don't open so it gets very stuffy, the fridge froze everything and the bathroom is tiny and dated. My view was gross, so I kept the shade down. When the tide is out there is a beach, it is close to the ferry pier and a very pretty view when the construction is not going. The sun rises right in front of the hotel! Restaurant has a large menu for dinner, but only one choice for breakfast (set meal or nothing). What saves this place is the staff! They are wonderful, lovely people!

Clean and cosy rooms. All amenities provided for -- toiletries, towels, snacks, and smart TV (with Netflix & Youtube). Breakfast is simple but hearty. Great location next to Silvermine Beach. However, WiFi signal on 3rd floor is weak. I was asked for a HKD500 deposit, which was refunded upon check out.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Warwick Hotel on Cheung Chau Island on 4-5 Jan 2025, and I must say it was a delightful experience! While the hotel has a charming, slightly aged character, it is well-maintained and adds to the unique ambiance of the place. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's location. Nestled in a quiet area, it offers breathtaking views of the sea that are truly mesmerizing. Waking up to the sound of waves and the sight of the horizon was a wonderful way to start each day. The room itself was spacious and designed simply yet comfortably, providing a great retreat after a day of exploring the island. The staff were friendly and welcoming. While there were a couple of minor drawbacks, such as the WiFi in the room being a bit unstable and the breakfast buffet lacking variety, these did not significantly impact my overall experience. Plus, with numerous restaurants and cafes nearby, I found plenty of delightful options for meals. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at the Warwick Hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway on Cheung Chau Island!

On April 27th, we booked a suite on the 2nd floor at the Tai O Heritage Hotel for one night on June 22nd. My wife and I took the Ngong Ping 360 to Po Lin Monastery in the morning, and after having an exquisite lunch at the Monastery’s vegetarian restaurant, we took bus No. 21 to Tai O. Arrived at the hotel at about 3 pm and completed the check-in procedure within 10 minutes. We were very happy to receive a lucky bag for the 10th anniversary of the hotel. A hotel staff warmly brought us upstairs to our room. We were told that it was a little bit difficult to unlock the door because the hotel wants to preserve the original structure and appearance of the wooden door of the Old Tai O Marine Police Station (120 years ago). Although a very skilful demonstration was given, it was a hard job for us to unlock the door because of the handicap of our age. In the end, we had to trust the security system of the Hotel and didn't attempt to lock the door at all. After the opening hours for public visitors at 6 pm, the environment of the Hotel was very quiet and relaxing. We like very much the rustic continental style glass-roofed restaurant: sitting at a small table facing the Tai O Bay, we had a feeling of enjoying the harvest of our lifework. We know that Tai O Heritage Hotel is a non-profit organization with a mission to protect cultural relics and historic sites in addition to providing hotel services, and because there are only 9 rooms (6 on the first floor and 3 suites on the second floor), it is a big constraint to run the business successfully, we also understand that the cost-effective of room charges and meal prices must not be on par with the 5-star Hotels in the city. We will be back, thanks!

Very Near to the ferry pier. Nice to have the bbq facility on rooftop. Friendly staff. Rooms are small but ok for a short stay like a day or two. About 25minute walk to the hong shing ye beach. If you have a big luggage, I recommend to stay in Bali resort as it’s close to the ferry but if you have a light bag to carry then there are other accommodation right at the beach.

We enjoyed our stay, staff are friendly. Perfect for those who want a quiet getaway, away from the crowds, but within a 10 minute walk to the main shops and restaurants. Balcony had a nice view of the sea, they provided beach mats and towels for guests to enjoy the beach. Rooms are small but well equipped.

This hotel was the cheapest private room I could find in Cheung Chao, so I tried not to expect too much before I walked inside. Fortunately, it was pretty good. The bed was clean and spacious, the TV worked fine and the water turned hot. Also, there was toilet paper, a fridge and even a cup of toothbrushes. The only negative is the damp feeling inside, which is common in hotels near the beach. Overall, I enjoyed my stay (only 30 seconds from the beach) and recommend this hotel for any short holiday.

Where to Stay in Hong Kong

For first-time visitors, Tsim Sha Tsui is a solid pick. It’s packed with shopping malls, street markets, and some of the best harbor views in the city. Plus, you’ll be right next to the Star Ferry and MTR, making it super convenient to explore.

WWarheadThe host was very nice and friendly. He gave us a lot of info about the local attractions. The room was extremely clean though, but the water flow was a bit slow due to low water pressure. We don’t think this is an issue though, because it didn’t affect our showers but just think that it’s something we need to mention about. In terms of location, I would consider it as inconvenient, because there’s a 10mins walk to the main road and cars can’t drive through because there’s no road/ paths nearby the house. For drivers x you do need to park your car outside where about 10mins walk away. In terms of cleanliness and quietness, this place is an extremely clean, and the host actually asked us to leave our shoes outside the room. Also, I haven’t found any dust or dirt in this house. In terms of view, we were not arranged to a room with any views, which is kinda disappointed. As far as I know there were other rooms occupied at the same time, and they were on the second floor and third floor. Unfortunately, they are the rooms that have views. In terms of facilities, we actually didn’t manage time to cook or BBQ at this place. Guests can actually use the kitchen and BBQ at the backyard.

JJielingvery satisfied! In my heart, this is Ngong Ping’s blessed place! At the same time, I also enjoyed chatting with the hostel administrator and felt that I was treated sincerely! Thanks again! Everyone is welcome to experience staying at the youth hostel. You can also camp at the youth hostel, and the basic settings are available. It will definitely make you more comfortable than the nearby Ngong Ping campsite.

LLoner TravelerThis place is a guest house located in the peaceful village, no vehicles, no rushing. Before you come, be prepared for the transportation and you have to walk at least 10 mins from the village entrance, and try not to bring big luggage if not necessary, as the rooms are not big enough to place big stuff. What I'm surprised about this place is that it has amenities and room facilities we need, the only thing they should add more is the umbrella, and complementary bottles of water at least for the first night.

GGuest UserI'm just saying, ”I'm not going to be able to do this.” This time, the flight became morning due to the sudden schedule change of the airline, so I couldn't stay I managed to cancel free through trip com, but it was not refundable as prescribed It can't be helped because it is a non-refundable reservation including such a risk, but ... I'm grateful if you can make it flexible ... I went to the island early because I paid for it. (I was grateful for the convenience of early check-in) to 23 I stayed for a walk on the island until around 23. I'll tell you first, this is not a hotel. You can't ask for facilities and services at a private night rather than a private lodging called a leisure shop. I feel a little expensive in terms of cospa, but I think it's a great place to understand it and touch the locals of the island. It's a 1 room in an apartment along Dongwan Beach, just off the island port. There is no front desk, and there is a stall next to McDonald's in front of the dock (along with other free shops) and there is a bargaining and reception. Auntie will kindly reception and give you a map to the key and the room. The room is in the alley of the apartment group in front of the beach, about 5 minutes walk from the receptionist, but it's a bit hard to find In an apartment that is also an islander's residence, there is a staircase No and an alphabet at the entrance of each staircase, and this combination corresponds to the ”room number”. By the way, my room was 11 DA, so I went into the stairs of 11 D and tried to enter the room of ”11 D” (other's house?). There was ”11 DA” In addition, there seems to be a room in a building that does not face the sea when choosing a room, so please examine it with a photo etc. (this room was ”sea view”) Room is small, only bed and small wall desk and toilet, but there is a small veranda, just below is the beach with ocean view and wave sound is amazing There is no air conditioning, but when you open the window and open the door of the room, the sea breeze passes (however, the room was rounded and talked to the residents on the upper floor) The shower is a type with a shower in the toilet of a Chinese cheap hotel, but you can see consideration (?), such as the toilet paper folder is completely covered or the paper is placed on the refrigerator. There is no towels and amenities, with an empty refrigerator and a dryer and a folding round table, the bed is king size and spacious As an aside, the beesan was 1 and it was convenient for walking around the island. There are many shops near the shipyard, even massage, very convenient I think it's an interesting facility if you understand and use the speciality of the facility.
