This is a hotel that prioritizes serving tour groups. For independent travelers like us, we have to obey the hotel's arrangements for tour groups in terms of room arrangements and dining times, because that is their main service target. The room facilities can be described as simple and crude, so stay away from it! It is recommended that Ctrip remove it from the shelves!

The hygiene is average, the environment is average, the service is good... basically no facilities...😲😲

Smyrlabjorg has its charms, though it is not luxurious. It reminds one of summer camp, with old world decorations. Breakfast was tasty. A drawback was the weak wifi signal in the rooms; many guests sat in the common areas to use the network.

Best included breakfast of the week. Free included coffee and got chocolate was a treat. Room was clean, quiet, and comfy. Restaurant was on par price wise with other places so far. My only complaint was they didn't provide washcloths, and they refused laundry service since we had booked a single night.

Our room was huge and very comfortable, except we couldn't turn down the heating, so had to sleep with a window open. Breakfast was fabulous and we felt this hotel was great value for the price. Would definitely recommend.

It was a really old hotel and very outdated. Wifi didn't work very well, the beds were very hard, and the pillows/sheets not comfy. Staff is very nice, it just needs some serious updating.

This is a family-owned hotel with stunning views and great food. You will have waterfalls as your backyard and a sea view. There are more than 200 sheeps in the property and in the evening you will be able to see how they move the sheeps from one side to the other. This is really a beautiful farm and anything you order will be prepared fresh. I will definitely stay here again.

Extremely nice hotel. Best breakfast I had in Iceland. The views are amazing, and the hotel very well maintained. The decoration is very authentic to the Icelandic style. Also very good price and great location to visit the Diamond Beach and glaciers.
