I was apprehensive when reading some of the reviews from earlier this year, but the resort was actually good. Not a high end luxury resort, but very decent if you want a nature break. Breakfast is buffet style with the same offerings daily including hot foods in Bain maries, toast, cold goods including chia cut+tinned fruits and yoghurt, and tea + coffee (barista style coffee for an extra fee). Lunch is a la carte (approx $20-25 for a cafe style meal eg steak sandwich or fish and chips). Dinner is buffet style ($50 pp) with different themes each night eg. Asian style, Sunday roast. The rooms were clean when we arrived, with new towels delivered second daily. The mutton birds at night can be very unpleasantly noisy (they howl and scream rather than tweet) so either turn the ceiling fan on high to create grey noise or use ear plugs. Dive trips were great with friendly crew and the hire gear was very decent. Keep in mind it's an island with changeable weather - the boat to/from the island could not arrive/leave for a couple of days due to weather (boat cannot run if the swell is above a certain height) so make sure you have travel insurance and no tight connections. Bird walk was very good, knowledgeable staff. Wear a hat and not your best clothing as there is a lot of bird poo.
Very Good
