La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hattiesburg - I-59

I stopped here for the night on my way to Key West FL. I had stayed here before on a similar trip. Just from the start I was greeted by Skylar, I believe was her name. She was friendly and attentive. She was also training another staff member also with a nice personality. The room was spotless and rates were reasonable. I will definitely stay there again on my return.

Beautiful on the outside, a little worn and tired on the inside. Overall stay was good. There were several restaurants, fast foods and convenience store with gas pumps in walking distance. On a cul -da- sac with several other name brand hotels

I was so impressed with the customer service at this hotel, it far surpasses any hotel I've stayed at in a very long time. The day before my arrival they called me to let me know the elevator wasn't working and may not be repaired by the time I arrived and gave me the option of canceling but I was so impressed that they actually called me I told them I would stay anyway. I'm very glad we did, while the hotel is a bit older and showing some small signs of wear there were a lot of updates to the room and it was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, fluffy pillows, nice large flat screen TV. After I checked in I received a text saying if there was anything at all I needed to make my stay better to just let them know. I have never had a hotel contact me after the check in at the desk to say this. Their sign says they may be small but they have excellent customer service and they do! I definitely would recommend staying there, great value and service!

This hotel is very clean. We stopped on our way to our vacation destination, and we liked it enough to book again on our way back home. Both times I called the front desk on the day of our arrival and asked for a room in a specific location, and both times the receptionist was very kind, and helpful, and made sure my request was accommodated. We ate breakfast at the hotel each morning before we left, and the breakfast variety was outstanding, and well stocked. Jennette was the one handling breakfast both mornings we were there and she has the absolute kindest personality, and makes you feel very welcomed. She's a delight to talk with also, if you get a chance. The tables, and floors, and food areas were kept clean through breakfast. My son was very happy with the pancake machine, and ended up going back for seconds. The rooms were quiet and the beds and sheets were very comfortable. And I really like how the blackout curtain is designed so that there is very little light leakage. The room had multiple lighting options so you can have a child go to sleep earlier and not have that side of the room lit up, which was very nice for us. We would definitely stay here again in the future if we were coming through again.

The only reason I’m giving it 4 star because I can definitely hear people in the rooms around mine. Overall it’s a very nice hotel. The staff is friendly and help solved problems that occurred. Gym is well equipped and I love the all day coffee!

After 2 attempts, we finally located this hotel. We were advised when booking that while the address is 119 Grand Avenue, for GPS we should use either 100 Lundy Lane or 204 North 40th Avenue. The Lundy Lane address was a bust, so I tried the 40th Avenue address and it worked well, and we would have seen the building immediately had we used this address first. My wife and I were tired on arrival here after a long day on the road, and we were welcomed by a very friendly staffer who checked us in quickly. We got settled in our comfortable room. In the elevator, we noticed an ad for a good-looking burger available at the bar in the lobby for dinner, so we thought we'd eat in, rather than go out again. We went down to the lobby to the bar and, even though the signs said dinner began at 5:00, there was no one there a bit after the hour. So, we left and patronized a local restaurant instead. Upon returning to the hotel, we notice the bar was open now, and we saw a staffer behind the bar; I had seen her in the hotel office area when we checked in, so she was just not attentive to the posted opening time. The lobby was filled by members of a sports team when we returned, and we assumed it would be a noisy night. We did hear some loud talking/giggling by a couple of young women across the hall from our room early in the evening, but we heard no noise at all overnight. The room was clean and comfortable. I had missed the fact that this hotel did not offer a complementary breakfast (I have to really check this detail on the Marriott Bonvoy website, as complementary breakfast varies by brand and sometimes within the brand); there were breakfast items available for purchase at the lobby bar. We checked out instead and picked up a couple of quick fast food breakfast items before we hit the road. We had a good experience here and recommend it.
