It's been about 15 years since I went there with my family when it first opened. I went to the Woodwan Museum of Art to coincide with its opening in the spring. There was still snow on the ski resort on the mountain in the background, and there was frost in the morning, so it still felt like winter, but when I took a walk nearby, I saw plum blossoms in full bloom. I enjoyed it because spring comes later than in the coastal areas. Some of the equipment had deteriorated over time, but it was well maintained. The staff greeted me with a smile, and when I went to take a bath after my morning jog, they thoughtfully prepared another towel and my locker key. It felt good. Dinner was carefully prepared and delicious. It was cheaper because of the COVID-19 vaccine certificate, and there was also a regional coupon, so it was good cost performance. I was able to drive from Hiroshima city and enjoy the late winter without getting stuck in traffic.
