Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego-East/El Cajon

I found the room clean and my request for a ground floor room was met. Other than some renovation work being done, I enjoyed my stay.

Very unfriendly stuff

Front desk was clueless. Booked two rooms months in advance based on reviews and previous experience with Days Inn. One room was not ready, so that room got reassigned. No big problem there, but should have served as a warning that front desk was not paying attention. Second room was assigned to two different parties. "Fortunately" we were in the room when the second party arrived. When we came back from dinner, our key didnt work. The manager shrugged it off as if it happened all the time.

My stay started out with no running water! The office did not mention they were having water issues. After 3 hours of my arrival it finally came on. My three night stay never had hot water just barely warm. They offered continental breakfast but their juice machine was not working for 2days! Some staff were very friendly and they had one one Sunday morning with a bad attitude I informed her the juice machine was not working but never posted out of order, other people walked in and tried the juice machine and and complained as well! Why not just put an out of order sign so guests would not continue to try and use it! I went down to purchase a free sodas and couldn’t because there system is down for an entire day! Left my room Sunday all day to come back to a room that was never cleaned. I had told the cleaning crew I was going to be gone all day and if they could clean the room before I left. I had booked my stay on ******* and did not book a smoking room but when I arrived they tried putting me into a smoking room, definitely trying to give you a metocouc room since I payed less. Bottom line I was very disappointed with my stay.

Jesse, the front desk clerk, was so friendly! He was so kind to us and after a day of traveling, his smiling face and great attitude was just what we needed. The hotel is fine, it does the trick!

This stay was not what I was expecting it was terrible . I’m not sure who would leave five stars but I don’t recommend this place . All sorts of different people just hanging out outside of their rooms smoking *********, playing loud music, drinking without any regard of how loud they were being . It seemed as though some of them were living there . It felt so unsafe we even felt the need to move our car and park it in front of the lobby . The room was clean but smelled musky and of cigarettes even though it was supposed to be non smoking .

Very basic roadside motel. Next to highway. A bit noisy. Our room smelled like stake cigarettes the minute I walked in. It was too late and we were too tired to change the room. Breakfast was dismal. Nothing appetizing. Just cereal and toast really. Stop over on a road trip so all we needed and price was fair. Next for to Starbucks and Dennys. Staff were friendly.

We were in the area to attend a wedding at the Palms Restaurant and Banquet Hall. It was very convenient to that location. The Denny’s located on the corner of the property was very convenient and affordable for family dinners too. There is plenty of free parking on the property also. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

The morning at checkout, the manager on duty that day was very, and I mean very rude. She was not customer oriented and seems to not like her job. The room was clean and comfortable, but the TV did not work and the maintenance person could not fix the problem. will no stay here again.
