The beach at the hotel is too wavy to swim and can only bask in the sun. But not far away, there is another public beach more than 100 meters, where you can swim. There are many choices for buffet breakfast and dinner, and the taste is good. Of course, there are occasional mistakes, such as grilled too raw beef shoulder. There are very few things for children to entertain. There is a game room where you can draw, watch TV, play games, etc., but the maintenance is not very good. The service is generally good, ushered in. However, there are more ingredients for the show, and some details need attention. Overall, the price / performance ratio is average, and it should be done.

Totally unexpected experience, hotel was like unplanned and turned to be the best experience overall Sri Lanka, from the moment I approached the hotel entrance and directly realized that is such a great decision I made. From the check in to the time I left the hotel Welcoming attitude, with great services, remarkable friendly staff , restaurants food, cleanliness actually can’t find even a negative thoughts or feedings during my stay. A big thanks to everyone reception staff Ms. Permisha, Mr. Pradeep and Ms.Senuri And the special night at the rooftop restaurant with Mr. Janodya, and chef 👨‍🍳 Lakindo and chef Milan. Nice hotel and great value for money - we really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts are very welcoming and the pool area and garden is very nice. We stayed in the tree house and it was very clean and had a nice balcony. The hotel organised a safari for us and even organised for another hotel guest to join us to reduce the price. The safari was very good and I would recommend booking through this hotel. The hotel also helped us to book a reasonably priced taxi to our next location. We also used the hotel restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food for each was great and reasonably priced. If you’re looking to come here for a Yala National Park safari, I would recommend staying here!

A excellent hotel with great and very helpful staff. The food they create tastes tariffic. The location of the hotel is amazing. You really should use the viewpoint of the hotel. The only minor issue is the poolarea. This should have a soft renovation so this will meet with the staffs kindness.

My original plan of a 1-night stay turned into 3 nights purely based on the property and the team. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, with clean linen and towels. The wooden floors are a nice look and feel. The air-conditioning works very well. An unbelievable amount of space for work / lounging. The room itself has a work desk which is perfect for remote work. The balcony is small but functional, and overlooks the majestic Tissa Lake. Spacious terraces on the 1st and 2nd levels as well as a rooftop with spectacular views of the surrounding fields and the lake. I got plenty of work done and attended web-based meetings in peace, against an amazing backdrop. At the end of the day it is the people that make a difference, and this is where Yasith and his team were exemplary. From his kind, attentive service to the care he displays to guests and the property (and of course by the way he treats Kalu, the adorable orphaned puppy), Yasith leads from the front. I noted among other things his meticulous bookkeeping skills, which is a rare find for any property. Suffice to say I have found my stay whenever I return to Tissa. What better place for a morning/evening stroll than the bank of Tissa lake. For any reasonable person willing to stay at a 3-star hotel and not expect 5-star amenities, Serene Park Hotel by Ark has all the right things in place. Full disclosure, I did not have any meals at the premises; as I am very familiar with Tissa I enjoy the many local options available nearby.

The hotel service is good, and there is a resident singer at the bar in the evening! There was a barbecue in the evening and I grilled a lobster. It didn’t feel fresh. But don’t worry too much about it in Sri Lanka. It can’t be compared with that in China.

Great ambience and staff were amazing, we liked the way how they treated us and they were very friendly. I would suggest everyone to visit this amazing place if you are planning to Yala. The only drawback is, it is but far from the park. You need to travel for 30minutes. But, the accommodation is extraordinary.

Originally it was just a temporary hotel booked for the Yala Wildlife Park, but it gave us a surprise. The hotel is not very big, typical Sri Lankan style. Our room is upstairs, and the pool and courtyard are downstairs. The toilet is very large. It is relatively clean because we have lived in Sri Lanka for so many days. We set off at 5 o'clock in the morning. The local brother had prepared breakfast in advance and packed very delicately. Once opened, it was even more pleasant: two sandwiches, An egg, two sausages, a box of juice, two pineapples carefully wrapped in plastic wrap, and a banana. Originally I only ordered three breakfasts, but when I saw my three-year-old Erbao, the hotel was very considerate. I also prepared a copy for her. Thank you very much. It’s not far from going to the safari park. It takes only 20 minutes. If there is any problem, the water pressure in the bathroom is unstable. Although the water is very large, it will be hot once it gets hot. It’s good to take a shower. In addition, the small bed is not provided with a quilt, just a thin sheet. The air conditioner is too cold and the remote control can’t be adjusted. I wake up several times at night.

Everyone said that this hotel is good, but no one said how pristine the road in is. If you only stay for one night and leave Yala, please do not book this hotel, especially during the rainy season, otherwise you will probably have to drive for several hours and face floods under heavy rain. Jinshan car did not dare to wade into the water rashly and had to ask for help from a jeep (additional fee). Another important information is that there are many mosquitoes in the room. People who are afraid of insects must not come here. If you are not afraid of insects, please bring toilet water.
