Friendly staff, excellent customer service. Stayed on 2 separate nights and rooms were clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was a bonus - would recommend the breakfast sandwiches. The hotel also offered nice touches like complimentary tea and coffee available 24/7 in the lobby and snacks for purchase. Parking was also very convenient.

At this Marriott Hotel you will not find a traditional front desk, we replaced that with a check-in at the bar where your first drink - our signature cocktail is included in your rate. An interactive lounge and library which set the tone for a social, playful, and fun experience. Our rooms are full of colors, little surprises and big delights like walk-in showers, open wall closets and plenty of space for our furry friends. We offer all the modern conveniences you expect such as smart technology, furiously fast free Wi-Fi, TVs equipped with streaming services and a comfy place to relax and recharge. You can enjoy hand-crafted drinks along with a menu of shareable plates at the bar and a Grab and Go section is available 24/7 to satisfy your cravings. Our downtown Halifax hotel is the first Moxy in Canada - is minutes from Scotiabank Center, Halifax Convention Centre, art galleries, shops, dining, waterfront, and nightlife.

I have never stayed in such a speechless hotel... I stayed for a total of six days. The fire alarm went off three mornings, whether it was weekends or weekdays, and each time it was around nine o'clock... The fire alarm lasted for 20 minutes, and the hotel did not have any explanation, just saying it was a false fire alarm. I don't believe that there could be three false fire alarms in six days? ? ? The hotel does not care about the rest and sleep of the customers at all. The time of each alarm was almost the same, and it went off every other day, as if it was intentional. In addition, I also found in Google reviews that the fire alarm went off frequently and lasted for a long time. So don't book this hotel if you can. The room is very small and not very quiet. The bar downstairs lasts until about two in the morning on weekends, which is extremely noisy.
A deposit of 20 Canadian dollars is collected every night

Hotel Halifax is the best hotel that I lived so far. Rooms are very clean and also service are way above my expectations. The only key point is the restaurant is pretty good. The two most memorable person (s) that I meet so far. First one is a nice young lady. Her name is Leah. She’s super nice and welcoming. She is very outgoing; professional and hardworking. She also have a very nice smile to brighten people’s day. Her wonderful smile is like a shining diamond. The most memorable thing I remember she did is she showed me a detailed map and make sure I know where to go. She also explained to me in detail about how to access the hotel. A big thank you for Leah’s wonderful professional service and always with a great nice smile. Leah is also very very polite too.Another person that I remembered is a gentleman named Nir. He is very helpful and polite. Overall. Every staff at the Hotel Halifax are very polite and helpful. Including the restaurant ones. Make sure if you want to live in this hotel. Look for either Leah or Nir to do your check in process. They will make you feel comfortable as you are in your own home. Big thank you to every staff at the hotel Halifax. And an extremely big big big shout out to Leah and Nir. They are most thoughtful person. I feel so appreciate for both Leah and Nir. P.S: Leah is also a very warm-hearted person that I meet. Definitely will come back for Leah and Nir only. 10/10 or 100/100.

The location is on the edge of the port, and there is a COWS ice cream shop 10 meters from the east gate.
The clerk is professional. Breakfast is not included, it is a la carte system, but the price is actually acceptable between 17-24 Canadian dollars.
The facilities include a swimming pool and a gym. The gym is very large. In the swimming pool, the old white man and the old lady are doing extravagant things, which is also drunk.
The last hour of the swimming pool is adult only time, but there are still children in it after the time has passed. The security staff helped clean up in time. very good.

Positives: - Convenient location to the Halifax Citadel and the harbor, 2-3 blocks each way. - Good hot water - The room itself is old with limited electrical outlet, but the hotel installed extension cords and additional electrical outlet bases on the nightstand and on the desk to make charging easy and convenient. - The room was also dark due to its original design and age of the building, but the hotel brought in more lights and evenly spread-out the room to ensure no dark area/spot, which I appreciate. Negatives: - Hairs found on top of toilet and floors of the bathroom, lots of short hairs, disgusting - Watermarks on the coffee table and nightstand - Many pin holes on the walls and wall papers - When raising the dirty bathroom issues to the hotel, they sent an inexperienced person, Jared, over to help but the issues did not get resolved and made false accusations about me being rude to him when I was speaking at my normal voice and sharing cleanliness issues. - Toilet dripping all night - Booked for VIP package but did not get VIP service in both room quality and condition as well as staff attitude (particular from Jared) other than waiving the self-parking fee. - When speaking with the hotel manager about the issues after Jared's inability to solve it, the hotel manager plain outright told me over the phone that he did not care how I felt and was not willing to help solve the situation, and sided with his employee, Jared, who had negative attitude and accused me of being rude to his employees. And deflating the real issues, which is disgusting and unclean floors with many hairs. And made suggestions on using towels to ”cover up” all unclean hairs and dirty floors in the bathroom. - The hotel did not own up its own responsibility when dropping the ball on cleanliness and got defensive, worse yet, turned around falsely blaming me for being rude and treating hotel employees badly when it's them who started negative attitudes. Other: - Check in staff, Stella, was efficient but came across as impatient because she kept on cutting me off before I finished speaking. - Olga, the second check-in staff, was more cordial - There is no valet parking. The closet self-parking is across the street, no parking right underneath. In other words, if you sign up self-parking with the hotel, they will send you to a large parking garage across the street, and the hotel will provide you with an instruction slip on how to find it and find your way back to the hotel lobby. The parking garage entrance is on Albemarle St. If you follow hotel's instruction slip carefully, you should find your way back without issues. Always remember where you park. Or just ask people around. The walk from where you park to the hotel lobby is at least 10 minutes assuming you don't get lost. You would cross a big indoor food court and a walkway and escalates before getting back to the hotel lobby. The hotel shares parking structure with Hotel Halifax across the street. - No breakf

We have stayed in many Residence Inn but this one is below par. The building is a little run down and seems a bit neglected. Staff seems disinterested. First morning the complimentary breakfast was a joke. At least 25 people lined up, all the food containers empty, when a staff member came to “refill” the food, he came with about 7 bacon slices and 8 hashbrowns, By the third guest in line it was all empty again. Also no forks to eat with - just knives and spoons. The housekeeping was even worse than the breakfast. The first day they didn’t come at all. The second day, they came but only made one of the two beds in the room (never seen that before!). No sweeping or vacuuming, no wiping bathroom counters, just made one of the two beds…very bizarre. The beds were very noisy (squeaky) and bouncy and the outside noise from the street made it hard to sleep. This Residence Inn unfortunately does a bit of damage to the brand.

Would rate the front desk staff a 8 out of 10 due to the lack of concern about one of the staff. Housekeeping very friendly and helpful and cleaned up when we only ask that our garbage been taken out. Room was very comfortable When the phone wasn't working one of the young front desk staff came up and took immediate charge and fixed the problem. We were looking forward to using the ”hot tub” but who ever is responsible for the hotel's web site should delete the hot tub picture s it hasn't been there, per front desk staff, at least 10 years. The fitness room only has 2 out of 4 of the stationary and Eliptical bike working. Gave up after mentioning it to the front desk staff on two occasions. Had a nice washroom with safety bars, but would suggest bringing a safety mat and there were no safety *****s in the tub. Surprisingly I found out the hotel did not have a liquor licemce so I had to go to another hotel for some ”brown pops' on New Year's eve.

I stayed for a total of six days, the first time I booked 3 days, and the subsequent days increased every day, but the price was different each time (maybe the discount is different). The first price was 750 yuan, and the last price was RMB 1206, the gap is quite large, it is estimated that the earlier you book the price, the better.

KKasey FVery clean, new and updated. Comfy beds. Amazing service. I am always greeted and thanked for being IHG member. This is the best service I have received from a hotel In the Halifax area. I will continue to come back time and time again. Great breakfast, great stocked little market for treats and cool water park for the kids
LLuu Phuong LanI recently stayed at Sandman Signature hotel and couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was warm and welcoming, making check-in a breeze. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated
GGuest UserConveniently located close to the airport. They have a free shuttle that runs through the night. Excellent place to stay for middle-of-the-night or early morning flights.
We stayed here on the last night of our Nova Scotia trip because we wanted to be close to the airport. The rooms are beautiful. The check in process was kind of informal- we just had to go down to the bar and find a certain person, and paid her right then on a portable card reader. The reservation was done through email. It was kind of warm, as only one of the bedrooms had an a/c unit, and we didn't notice it at night. FYI, it's above the window and the remote is inside the desk! We stayed in the Thomas Suite, which has two bedrooms. It's on the top floor. I think the other rooms are smaller. There is a common area on the second floor where the coffee maker and microwave are. They had a few board games, a fireplace, couch and a balcony. There was cold water in glass decanters in the fridge, and all the glassware was chilled in the fridge as well. There was yogurt and juice in the common room fridge, and our breakfast consisted of muffins, fruit, and granola bars. It was noisy until the restaurant closed, but after that it was pretty quiet. The one drawback was getting there. It is on a busy road (we arrived at rush hour), and there is only one way in and out. The parking lot is kind of small, but there were a couple of spaces when we got there. Also, when we came in off the highway, our GPS instructed us to turn left at the stop sign, which was next to impossible. I gave up and turned right, and there is a roundabout about a block that way where you can make a U-turn.
JJason zhOur family of three was traveling to Halifax and finally booked this motel. Very nice quiet environment with a beautiful view of the river. The service staff was very nice. I will go again if I have the chance.
GGuest UserExcellent stay and great staff at the hotel. Rooms were really clean and all other complimentary services were great. Hotel is also close to downtown Halifax as well as main streets where you have easy access to all amenities
GGuest UserThe room was very nice, there was no microwave and the room was a little dated, however it was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again.
GGuest UserHi Jamie I felt it best to write to you directly as to our recent disappointing stay at the Halifax Homewood Suites. We have been coming to Halifax and staying at your hotel for many years and always found it to be among one of the best which is particularly one of the reasons for our disappointing stay. Admittedly Covid has made our routine Halifax visits for work and social events non existent in the past two years. Recently we had a booking at your hotel and were called the day of our stay that our room was not available due to a mechanical issue. This happens and we understood. In fact we were quite happy with the alternate location that you provided us at your sister property. So we made a second reservation for this past Saturday night staying until the following day. We arrived for check in at 3:15 and were told our room was not available as cleaning staff had not been able to get to our room yet. We were unable to get an estimate as to when it would be completed. We were accompanying friends who also had booking issues but were able to get their room after some confusion. We decided to go with them until our room was ready so I asked the front desk to call us there when it was ready. I was told they were cleaning our room, which was 503 shortly and we would be called. Approximately 1 hour later we were called that our room was now ready. This was inconvenient but understandable. We collected the keys in a sleeve and again were told room 503 was ready. Proceeding to that room we found the door open and cleaning staff still inside. I questioned this and was told they were doing VIP clean inspection. She asked us to come in and departed. We unpacked our belongings, used the facilities and my wife began to touch up her hair and makeup for our 530 reservation. I took the opportunity to unload the dishwasher and then went down the hallway to get ice. When I returned my key didn't work so I knocked to get in. We had two keys so I picked up the second one to try it. At that point I realized she had written room 403 on the sleeve. I phoned down to the front desk to clarify the error and no one answered. We realized we had been sent to the wrong room so we packed up our belongings and went down to 403. The keys worked so we appreciated the error. I again called attempted calling the front desk but the phone did not work. The safe also did not work. The internet did not work. We went back to our friends room as we were now late for our reservation. I called the front desk from their room and notified them of the events and failings. She told me she could give me keys to room 503 but I explained we had moved down to to 403 as per the writing on the sleeve. Our friends called and cancelled our reservations as we were now late. Upon returning that evening I again called the front desk in regards to the phone, internet and safe issues. They told me they made a note without solution. We have had such great experiences with your hotel in the pa
GGuest UserConvenient stay near the airport. The shuttle to and from the airport leaves every 30 minutes all night long and the hotel is located about a 10 minute drive from the airport. The bed and pillow is super comfortable, good IPA, tasty food, and amazing staff. Breakfast is from 6-11 and is really nice.
