Gora Hanaougi Madoka No Mori

This is the first time I visited a ryokan with a quiet atmosphere. I made a reservation 5 months in advance because it seems like it's hard to get a reservation. Arrive by car from Gora Station, which takes about 10 minutes up the hill. First of all, I went to the open-air bath at the bottom of the stairs instead of the open-air bath in my room. I took a soak in the slightly warm open-air bath, and after the bath, I enjoyed a beer in the refrigerator in my room. I liked that the food was varied and didn't look like typical ryokan cuisine. Of course, it looks and tastes great. After dinner, we went to the bar, which is also recommended for its calm interior and impressive counter made of thick logs. The only negative point was that the open-air bath in the room was a little small for me, but nothing else to say!

We visited as a family of four with a one-year-old who had just learned to walk on his own and a two-year-old who loves to eat. We were looking for a place where we could stay with our children with peace of mind, where breakfast and dinner were served in the room, and where the room had an open-air bath, and we chose this place after considering about 30 places. However, after actually visiting, we regretted choosing this place, so we will post what we experienced. Cockroaches during in-room dining In the latter half of dinner in the room, the waitress came in with a male employee and said, "There are bugs," and the man had paper in his hand and insecticide in his other hand. While the couple was staring blankly in the middle of the meal, the man suddenly banged his hand on the wall and what escaped from his hand was definitely a cockroach. He quickly caught it with his hand and left the room with a smile as if nothing had happened... Although it is inevitable when dealing with food, it was extremely unpleasant to have a cockroach appear during a meal. After that, there was no offer to change rooms (it may have been full), and there was no apology after the meal. I have a child who is still crawling and puts things on the floor in his mouth, so I felt very uncomfortable and worried about spending the night and the next day in the same room. ・They don't respond to requests for child support in advance Although it is difficult to ask for a meal for a one-year-old child, I wanted to feed my two-year-old a proper meal, so I reserved a meal for three-year-olds and up listed on the website (it says that it can be ordered even if you are not three years old). However, I was concerned about the seasoning, so I emailed them in advance and asked them to make it as light as possible and to serve anything that can be served separately, such as sauce, separately, and I made the same request to the waitress after arriving at the inn on the day. I regret not checking beforehand, thinking that it would be okay because I asked twice, but my child cried after taking a sip of miso soup and said, "It's salty...". He drank it thinking it was normal, but he was surprised at how strong the taste was and cried. (He usually goes to nursery school, so it's not like he can only eat light-tasting food.) There was also a bone in the fish in the chawanmushi. I asked the waitress, "Does it contain fish? I'm worried about the bones," and she replied, "It does contain fish, but the bones have been removed, so please feel free to eat it." In fact, there were at least five bones in it. The other dishes were seasoned enough that even adults would find it delicious, and it was hard to believe that we had specifically requested a light flavor. After dinner, we asked again for breakfast to be lightly seasoned, but the child only ate about 1/3 of the food both in the morning and at night. I really felt sorry for the child, who had been happy to tell us in advance that "It's a treat at the inn!" - They didn't ask when to lay out the child's futon, and they didn't lay it out for us. Although we had booked bedding for our two-year-old child, they didn't ask us in advance when to lay out the futon, and he fell asleep during the meal in the room, so we laid out the futon ourselves. Despite the above, when we checked out, we were presented with the amount for the regular service, even though we had made the reservation. We told them that we had doubts about paying the full amount in light of what had happened. The person in charge left the room, and the person in charge of reservations came and said that they would not charge us for the child's fee alone. I wonder if the person in charge was aware of the cockroach and the fact that they did not comply with my child's request until I raised my voice. I thought that since we were unable to enjoy delicious food, feel safe and comfortable in the room, and sleep, which are the bare minimum for a stay, we should have received a reasonable refund for everyone except for the child, but unfortunately, it seems the inn thought differently. The bill for two adults was about 130,000 yen (excluding the cost of additional alcohol). For all of the above, I feel that this inn is not worth the price. I will never use this inn again.

初めての宿泊です。3人で野旬菊の間に泊まりました。部屋は飛騨の木材をふんだんに利用した落ち着きのある設えです。部屋の担当のスタッフさんの応対はとても気持ちよく安心感があります。部屋の露天風呂に浸かりながら新緑の箱根の山々をながめリラックス。夕食は料理長のセンスが随所に出ていて盛り付け、器、素材全て素晴らしく、次はどんな料理が出るかワクワク。こんな経験は久しぶりです。鮎が塩焼きと唐揚げ2匹出てきて熱々をかぶりつきました。特にお造りは見事。最後に出てきた飛騨牛のしゃぶしゃぶは実に美味しかった。この宿の料理は絶品です。宿の創業者が飛騨高山の出身とか。高山には今も2軒の宿を経営されているとかでこの宿の建材や家具は飛騨から持ち込まれたそうで、また、食材も飛騨産のものがあります。飛騨牛のしゃぶしゃぶは最高でした。次回は紅葉の季節に宿泊するつもりです。ひとつだけ気になったのは部屋の露天風呂のシャワーヘッドのストッパーが壊れていてシャワーヘッドを好みの高さに調節出来なかったこと。チェックアウトの時に指摘しておいたので即対応されるでしょう。オススメの宿です。

子連れでも安心して泊まれる！親も楽しめる！お宿です。 イヤイヤ期の２歳の子連れでした。 高級温泉宿に子連れで宿泊するのは初めてだったので、下記不安に思っていました。 ・本当に子連れOKなのか？ 　（OKと書きながら、実はそうでもない雰囲気のレストランなどは多い） ・食事処での食事は子供が騒いで迷惑にならないだろうか？　など。 宿泊したのは、12月の平日です。 人気のお宿で、たまたま空いていた一部屋を予約することができました！ 子連れにとって嬉しいポイントがいくつかあったので挙げておこうと思います。 ・お部屋にタオルがたくさん！ 　だいたい温泉宿に泊まると、バスタオル、フェイスタオルが各１枚ずつですが、 　子連れだから増やして頂いていたのかわかりませんが、各２ー３枚ずつご用意いただいておりました。 ・お部屋のトイレにおむつゴミ箱が用意されていました。 　２歳の子供宿泊としか伝えていなかったのですが、用意いただけていて有り難かったです。 ・お部屋の無料オレンジジュース ・２歳（90cm）の館内着 　小さい子用の館内着（浴衣）が用意されていてとっても可愛かったです！ ・リラックスしながらお食事が頂けます！ 　個室お食事処が本当に１部屋という感じの個室となっており、周りの声などは特に気になりませんでした。床暖房も素敵です！ 　また、食事処の個室では、お隣も子連れでしたので、安心できました。 　恐らくですが、大人のみの客と、子連れ客の個室の配置決めに配慮があったように感じます。 　朝食時、子供がまだ眠そうだったので畳に寝かせようとしたところ、それを見ていた従業員の方が座布団を持ってきてくださりました。ご配慮いただき大変助かりました。 ・客室露天風呂 　露天風呂が掛け流しなので、子供が寝た夜、少し早く起きてしまったタイミングなどに気軽にお風呂に入ることができました。 ・露天風呂 　ぬるいお湯の露天風呂などあり、お風呂嫌いの子供は初めての露天風呂でしたが、心地よく、楽しかったようです。 箱根に宿泊する際はまたぜひお邪魔したいです。

今回も最高の非日常を味合わせてくれました。ホスタビリティも非常に高く従業員の皆さんの努力のたわものだと思います。食事の給仕をして頂いた〇池さんには大変お世話になりました。食事を出すタイミングも早すぎず遅過ぎずベストなタイミングでした。私のつたない会話にも十分答えて頂き夕食朝食共に楽しい食事時間を過ごさせて貰いました。忙しいのに嫌な顔せず強羅迄の送迎をして下さったフロントの○口さんにも感謝です。清掃やアメニティーも十分でした。ガラスの曇りも全くありませんでした。箱根が好きで何件かの宿にお世話になりましたが、ここが一番です。そうそう重たい荷物を車まで階段で運んでくれたフロントのお兄さんにも感謝です。比較的若い方が多いのですが、皆さんしっかりされており楽しそうに仕事に取り組んでおられる姿は還暦の私には羨ましくみえました。また伺いますのでよろしくお願いします。
