After comparing the official website and Ctrip, I think Ctrip booking is done in seconds.
The front desk staff is very enthusiastic and the room is very clean.
The only thing to complain about is that the front desk is on the top floor instead of the first floor. We arrived at around 9pm, and there was no staff downstairs to help with luggage...
The location is in the city center, and it is very convenient to go to the airport.
Go downstairs and turn the corner to the church square, where there are many delicious foods. Find an open-air location in the evening, it is very photogenic.

What an incredible hotel stay. Honestly found this Courtyard to be a fantastic hotel and highly recommend to stay here when in the city. The rooms are great and comfortable. Bed and pillows were perfect and all amenities made the stay great. The restaurant at the hotel is really good and you wont be disappointed.
Thank you for choosing our Wyndham Garden Guatemala City hotel.

My room had 3 double beds with a sofa and a huge TV. The view was straight into the Courtyard Marriott across the street. However it was very comfortable. There are dozens of restaurants within walking distance. the Oakland mall and Dollar City are about 15 mins walk from the hotel.

I called this place to make sure my family members would be able to check in with no issues. As a diamond member I’ve never had issues like this. I booked the reservation and added the person that would be checking in. Not thinking that I needed to put the number of people in the room because I purchased the type of room I needed that accommodated 3 guest. My mother in law and brothers in law were picking up my daughters from the airport the following morning so I had my in laws check in. When they got there to check in the front desk wanted to charge us 35 per person. I specifically paid 15k points that accommodated 4 and it was only 3 guest. It didn’t matter whether it was 2 or 3 on the reservation the points were the same. But there they wanted to charge 35 per person. Then as diamonds we normally get something like breakfast. Well the front desk made sure they told my 76 year old mother in law, no breakfast is allowed for them. I am extremely upset with how they were treated. I don’t care if we purchased the breakfast the fact that they immediately said to them and no breakfast for you all made it seem Like they were allowed to dine. Never using this place ever again.

Cleaning begins when guests check in. Ask guests to wait at the front desk for the normal time when checking in. The first room I was given was outside the window in a narrow inner courtyard with poor air circulation and sight lines... Needless to say, I went to the front desk to change rooms. The other female leader at the front desk was more enthusiastic and more enthusiastic than the first female staff member. Much better, but still waiting for the room to be ready before check-in. My check-in time was nearly 8pm. I want to ask: Does a five-star hotel not clean the room in the afternoon? Do you have to wait until guests arrive to clean?

We loved Barcelo Guatemala City hotel. We arrived around 7 pm at the airport, the shuttle driver was already waiting for us at the arrival area, the hotel had nice, clean van and it’s only 5 minutes from the airport. Fast check in, the hotel is big and clean, our room was on the 8th floor with 2 balconies. We had a king bed and they provided us with 2 bottled water and a tray of fruits. They have a pool but we didn’t have enough time to enjoy it. Breakfast was very nice, they have different guatemalan food choices for breakfast everyday like fajita, plantains, beans. They also have the usual eggs, bread, cheeses, yogurt, cold cuts and lots of fresh fruits. The servers were so kind. We also ate at the restaurants inside the hotel, Kyoto for japanese cuisine and Strikers for american food. We exchanged currency at the front desk everyday since we don’t know how much money we will spend for every tour. We made Barcelo our base hotel and took tours everyday. We did Hobbitenango, Antigua, Chichicastenango, Guatemala city tour and Lake Atitlan with San Juan la Laguna, which we all booked via Viator, we were lucky that most tours it was only the 2 of us. There is a supermarket Paiz just one block from the hotel where we bought drinks and snacks. The area is very safe and the hotel has 24/7 guards at the lobby and gate. We also booked the shuttle going back to the airport, our flight was at 6am and we took the first shuttle at 4 am, plenty of time to get to the airport, security and immigration. Thank you Barcelo for the great stay and we hope to come back soon!

I arrived on September 17th 1:12 pm to check in to this hotel. The receptionist guy said check in was not until 3:00pm. I could have sworn I saw something on the hotels.com website that said there was a 2 hour early check in option. Pretty sure I chose it. Not sure how it didn't register. So I decided to check out the restaurant. I sat down and was greeted but a waiter. He said, we have great buffet with bla bla bla bla” I can't remember but he was REALLY trying to sell it. So I took a look at the buffet. It looked alright. There was no price visible anywhere so I didn't know how much it was. I asked the waiter and he told me to wait. He went to some room to get a scratch piece of paper. He wrote the price on the paper. It was kinda vague and his hand writing was strange. I had to ask him 3 times to clarify the price. He finally said “$34 for the lunch buffet”..... I immediately grabbed my bags and walked out. I've been all over the world and can't remember paying anywhere near that much for a lunch buffet. Not even in Europe. Around 3:00pm I was given my room key and room number. Took the elevator to room 802. It was a pretty nice room overall. The refrigerator didn't work though. Later on that night I asked some receptionist guy if I could get my refrigerator replaced. He said he would make a note of it and first thing in the morning it would be replaced. It wasn't. Around noon time the next day I went down the reception and asked a lady if she had any notes about someone needing a refrigerator replaced. Instead of answering my question she asked what my room number was. I again asked her if the receptionist guy from last night passed on the information. She again wouldn't answer and kept asking for my room number. This went on about 3 minutes or so. She then asked my name. I told her. She used this to find my room number. Still no answers about why I still had no replacement refrigerator and if any info was passed on from last night. She said I would get a replacement refrigerator soon. I didn't. Around 4:00pm I heard some cleaning ladies in the hall. I told her my refrigerator didn't work and asked them if I could get one from a near by room. She said, “OK sure”. She even carried it to my room as I grabbed the broke one and placed it in the hall. So in short... The receptionists suck at this hotel. Bathroom: Its pretty nice. The ventilation fan didn't work though. Gym: It's pretty darn good. Only thing missing was a flat bench press. There is a 45lbs bar laying on the floor though. So I am guessing this gym did have one at some point in time. The gym closes at 9:00pm. Which is still better than the Grand Tikal Futura which closes at 7:30pm. WiFi: It was good overall. It has that quirky log in system though. So after a minute of so of no activity on your smart phone it will disconnect. And you have the repeat the process over again. Breakfast: Overall it's pretty good. No buffet. Just

I've been a loyal customer, staying at this hotel on average twice a year for the past 25 years. Yes, that includes the period prior to the hotel being a Hilton. The last time I stayed I had an issue with the reception desk, but now it was worse. Turns out that I was ”upgraded” to a Jr. Suite, something I didn't want because most of the upgraded rooms face the loud highway. I explained that I preferred a garden facing room regardless of the upgrade, but they couldn't accommodate me because they had no availability of those rooms. So, I accepted the upgrade, but because the room wasn't ready, I left telling the front desk that I would be back later that night. I came back close to 9:00pm to find that indeed my room was facing the highway, but then the surprise...the room had no windows! Oh yes, there was glass where windows were supposed to be, but they were frosted or white. Needless to say, you couldn't see out and it felt like a cave! Well, it was late so I decide to go to sleep and deal with it in the morning. Morning came, I went to the front desk and told them how unhappy I was and that the room was unacceptable and that I wanted to leave given that they couldn't accommodate my request. Well, to my surprise they were going to charge me the penalty for checking out early. I explained that it was not my fault, that they should check with the manager. They then offered a room next to the elevator which I declined. Explaining that it was okay if they had no availability, and that I would just leave. No issue, those things happen and I would be back another time. I went back to the room to gather my bags came back to the front desk to check out and yes, the manager had said NO to my request to not charge the penalty so I had to pay the $25 plus tax. What a stupid move by the hotel, after 25 years, they had lost a client for $25. Amazing! Of course I will never stay at the hotel ever again and will do what I can to tell everyone my story.

JJamesThis is my Third Time i Say in this Hotel, The Hotel is very safe. The staffs are very courteous, They Speak good English and they help you out of the way, a special Tanks to Yaquelyn and Mr Edwin in the Front office. The Rooms are very specious clean, the beds are very conformable and the best city view from the Balcony. The breakfast is good for Latin American people i guess, i come from Asia, but they make good Spanish Omelet, so nothing much to complain,
I will recommend this Hotel, its reasonable priced, spacious rooms, nice cozy sofa and bed, nice view, and you can get everything in walking distance, there is a Burger King Just Opp to the Hotel 20 Meters, Nice Hotels around, Like Del GeeGo, 20 Meters to the left, PF Chang etc.
GGuest UserI only stayed at the hotel briefly due to a late flight arrival and an early flight the next day. However, the room was decent and it was close to the airport which was all that mattered. When I checked out in the early hours of the morning there was no staff to check me out so I just gave the key card to the security.
JJoeNotTheDogI was unable to get in the security gate for the neighborhood giving only the hotels name and street address, but as I had a local phone, I called the property and they gave the street address with number of address (20-50 added to Diagonal 26, along with hotel name), and security let us in. Arriving a few minutes later, the taxi left, and I rolled my luggage to a locked door at the address and pushed the buzzer...nothing. I pushed the other buzzer with a individual's name...nothing. Buzzed again....nothing. Luckily (again) I had my phone and called the hotel where the offsite worker asked if I had pressed the buzzer, then said they would have the assistant open the door for me. A few minutes later, I was met and ushered in, and when shown to my room was not provided a key. The room locks from inside, so that was fine. I believe the nearly empty hotel had a staffing issue at this time and the friendly, helpful, courteous person helping was not a regular check-in employee, , accounting for all of the above issues. After settling in, the room was spotlessly clean, spacious, great views of the mountainside, quiet, SOOOOO very close to the airport, had breakfast available for a small fee, free airport shuttle was perfectly on time. I would stay here again.
BBOLocated in the 10th district of Guatemala City's safest area, the hotel room is a suite with a restaurant bar, gym, and facilities equivalent to the domestic four-five-star hotel. It is a relatively high-cost hotel among the 10 district hotels. Five hotels eventually chose us here and are highly recommended to everyone.
JJodi Antje GI loved my hotel room. The hotel staff were friendly but the restaurant staff were not very friendly. The pool was nice but could be cleaner. Nice neighborhood with lots of food options nearby. Super close to airport. Don't take the hotel shuttle though. I paid for shuttle and they just called me an Uber! I could have saved 20 bucks.
TTheJinzaLifeVery clean room with comfortable bed and kitchen facilities. Lobby was nicely designed. The location was fairly close to some shops and restaurants. Overall a great stay for a couple of nights.
CCHENThe breakfast is very good. The location is very good. The front desk and restaurant waiter are warm and patient. The luggage storage and hotel driver transfer service are also in place. This is a great hotel. If you come again next time, definitely choose this hotel.
GGuest UserThe hotel itself is fine, reasonably close to the airport; this is essential due to the horrific traffic during rush hours in this overcrowded city. But Do Not Eat here. Their restaurant is likely to become known as Worst Western Plus soon. With a limited menu, you'd think their cooks could handle the entrees, but that is not the case--they are incompetent and amateurish at best. We attempted to order pizzas but after a few minutes were told we'd have to wait 2 hours since the oven was broken. So we ordered some pasta entrees listed, and were served inaccurate items and very poorly prepared food. Stay here if you want, but eat at one of the nearby chain restaurants instead. The Best Western chain will truly be ashamed if they check out their restaurant on this property.
Realize it's a bed and breakfast. So it's quaint but comfortable Pristine condition Very clean The beds are quite confortable which was a pleasant surprise It's a bed and breakfast And it's a short walk away from the airport which is extra convenient There's at least 3 major shopping plazas nearby with Supermarket for groceries, pharmacy and movie theaters These days you can pretty much have anything delivered from most venues so it's pretty convenient to be near most convenience stores and plazas The breakfast is made to order and pretty good better than your typical chain hotel stateside The personnel is very polite, attentive, considerate and helpful There's video surveillance and I had no safety concerns whilst there So given the price, I am happy to have stayed there, will definitely come back and recommend as well
