SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Grand Island Reviews

I was lucky to find a room for a decent price, since I unknowingly planned my visit to Grand Island during the week of Husker Harvest Days, a huge farm show that apparently draws many out of town visitors. The staff at SureStay Plus were friendly and helpful, and the room was quiet and clean. I was happy to find that although I had booked a room with a single queen bed, I actually got a room with two beds. I only made it down to breakfast one day, but it was filling and tasty. Pretty standard hot buffet bar, but that was fine. My only issues with this property are 1) the pool, and 2) the lack of an elevator. The pool looked nice and clean, but the whole area just felt weird to me. Right in the middle of an atrium with bright fluorescent lighting around which all the rooms were, so if you were swimming, EVERYONE would be looking at you. Also, there were no lounge chairs or indeed chairs of any kind around the pool, so not too great if parents just want to lounge and watch their kids swim.

We had a one night stay on our way to Estes Park Colorado. Check in was easy. I had mistakenly booked a room with 1 queen bed instead of 2, which was easy to change at check in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Definitely would stay again.

Friendly, efficient check-in. Room pretty small, but clean and comfortable. There was one easy chair. The sink counter had very little surface area. Room was around atrium-style center with large swimming pool on first level. Happy noise of children swimming could be heard, but it was quiet in evening and night. Perfectly decent newer property. The breakfast mini-buffet had outstanding selection and was very satisfying. Not sure of comparison to parent Best Western next door, but price seemed a bit high for comparables. Would stay again.

Great value as we passed through Grand Island area, on our way west. Family and pet friendly made it the right destination in Grand Island. Close to food, gas and entertainment. Easy off and back on the Interstate. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was clean and quiet, staff people were pleasant, and the cost was reasonable. This was my first time at a SureStay Plus, and as would be expected, it is a step down from Best Western Plus facilities - thinner walls, lower cost food items, etc. This said, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was adequate. The room would benefit from small end tables on both sides of the bed. It was a challenge to reach the outlet that was behind the bed frame from the side without an end table. Additionally, I would prefer internet that is password protected, although it probably makes it only nominally more secure. There were few guests the night of our stay (not Crane season), and my guess is that the hotel would have been considerably noisier if it were closer to capacity. But, I would definitely consider it for another one night stay while traveling, especially during off-season.

We had a nice little weekend get away. Enjoyed excellent customer service, friendly staff, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great!…Good, hot and many choices. We will definitely stay here again in Grand Island, NE

Always helpful and accommodating staff, welcoming and friendly, I know there are cheaper places in Grand Island but I really like these folks. The pool is always clean as is the breakfast nook. Truck parking is available to capable drivers.

This place has always been an old stable for me when in town. Desk help and Bonnie the Manager are great. Had huge suite last time. It was great for the dog and I. Wish it was still a Super 8 so i could use my Wyndham points! Will stay again.

From the exterior of the hotel, it appears to be a former Super 8 motel in architecture, which can also be seen in the hallways of the hotel. However, the guest rooms (at least the one I had) appeared to have been recently remodeled, you could still smell the new carpet. The desk clerk at both check-in as well as check out was knowledgeable and friendly, she even claimed to have given me an upgraded room. The property is several miles closer to town, and not directly off I-80. They have a well-stocked continental breakfast. The biggest concern is it took 2 1/2 months for the airline miles for this stay to post to my account.

Once again, a visit to Grand Island topped with the bluest blue swimming pool surrounded by the whitest of white border and dark brown fencing; very cool😎 A neighborly greeting upon entering this hotel located on the southeast side of Grand Island near Fonner Park; State FairGrounds. Good location, spacious rooms, good breakfast, top service/hospitality. Third visit here for good reason; 5 star rating🏈

I got charged for May 19 and May 20 , two different charges plus the day I made the reservation. The charge for May 20 was taken off but not for the day I made the reservations. So I ended up paying $206.56 for one night. Way too much money for this hotel. They are not easy to work with when they clearly made the mistake.

We were very pleased with this hotel and I’m picky! It’s clean, affordable, staff is friendly and helpful, and the take pets for a reasonable $15 fee. Pool was clean, warm, well stocked with towels and the kids loved it. HOWEVER, be sure to ask for a hallway room away from the street. Otherwise, you might get a room right next to the pool and the pool is open to the front part of the hotel. We had kids yelling right outside our door from 8:45-10. A very busy Road was right outside our window and cars were revving, sirens blaring, trucks honking all night long. Ultimately it’s not the fault of the hotel, it’s how it’s built but highly suggest asking for a room in the back of the building away from the pool and street. I will say we asked to move and the hotel staff was super helpful and friendly and very willing to accommodate a move. I was impressed. I ended up being too lazy to pack a move so do you self a favor and get the right room from the start!

This is an absolute gem compared to other Super 8s I've used. Rooms are spacious, super clean, well-equipped. Pool is a beauty and grounds are well tended. Staff is helpful and agreeable. Second best of all is the biscuits and gravy breakfast. Best is the pet policy. If it wasn't genuinely "friendly," we wouldn't stay there.

I really like this place. I have stayed here 3 times now for over a week each time. Rooms are cozy and clean. Very nice people. They have all the amenities you would want, including a decent hot breakfast. I feel safe here.
