Overall our stay was great. The staff were very friendly. The room was small but desgined really well and very comofrtable. The hotel had a great atmosphere to it, with lots of young guests and things to do in the reception area. The wifi was hit and miss - trying to make a zoom call in the reception area was nearly impossible even at 7am.

First the negatives. There weren't any. Now the positives. Hotel receptionists were good throughout our stay, from the warm and cheerful welcome to the cheerful and helpful checkout. The room was bright and clean, breakfast had plenty of choices, including some lovely black pudding. Staff were cheerful and welcoming both mornings during our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant on our first evening, the Hazel, lovely food which was not only presented well but very tasty. If being very picky, the amount of the mash potato bursting with flavour that came with the chicken dish was barely there. Talking to the waitress, who was very good, this is a new menu and said she would let the chef know and was grateful for the feedback. The outstanding thing for us was the quality of the bar staff, friendly and quick to take your order, which in our experience is almost unique as the bar staff often let hotels down. Overall an excellent hotel in the heart of Glasgow and would recommend this as a great base for a stay.

The staff were so kind and hospitable. When I was feeling unwell they helped make sure I had some lemon water and got out of the restaurant quickly so I can rest.
The location is right next to Buchanan Bus stop - so perfect for travelers needing to get to the airport or catch the bus to another city.

Fantastic service by concierge, felt very welcomed especially since we are asian and other hotels make me feel otherwise.
1 lift was down and there were only 2 so it takes a while, but wasn’t an issue for us since we stayed only on the 3rd floor. Surrounding of the hotel was having construction but was convenient to get to central station!

Just to be clear, this isn't a fine star establishment but it does deserve a fine star review for what it provides at the price or charges. City centre location. Lots of shopping and food options around the venue. Staff were very pleasant although more knowledge about bus routes would have been helpful given the number of out of towners that will be staying here. I chose a double room without a window sunder I was literally just sleeping here rather than spending time in the room. It is very clean, nice white bedding. The double bed took up the whole of the Room bar the entrance part but that was absolutely not an issue because I didn't need any more space. There was a toilet and shower wet room, TV, mirror, hanging area (not a full wardrobe but it absolutely sure what I needed). I appreciated the interesting extra touches which had clearly been considered for a compact space such as storage under the bed for luggage, free wi-fi, plug points and light switches by the bed and only having room cleaning and bedding changed on request and for an additional charge, rather than being included in three cost of the Room when it really wasn't necessary or environmentally aware given that I only had a two night stay. I would definitely use this service again. I paid £25 per night through booking.com which for a city centre location is outstanding.

Located in the city center and convenient for travel.
The price is very reasonable, breakfast included, booked for seven nights.
The room is not spacious, but it is clean and comfortable, but the bed is too soft, which is a bit uncomfortable.
I went to try breakfast the next morning. Although the restaurant was not big, the breakfast was rich in content, well organized and tasted good. The waiter took the initiative to clear the table.

We walked up from Queen Street Station in less than 10 minutes and were met by Dave the Concierge who lifted our bag in to reception. Chelsea on reception was very kind with a great upgrade due to status and that set us up for a marvellous return trip to the Kimpton Blythswood. The old Scottish Automobile Club building is lovely and the sunny views out onto the gardens in front were very welcome, though the windows in the Salon could be doing with a wash...... Our room was superb, very clean with shower and tub. And some Tunnocks wafers to go with our cuppa. Nice touch. During the social hour we were served by Dave who brought our wine up to the Salon - the old 80m long drawing room on the 1st floor. I had hoped the Salon Bar would have been opened after our last stay, but staffing seems to be the issue. Breakfast in the morning was very good with attentive and engaging staff. We left as we arrived with Dave opening the door and taking us to street level, with his usual chat and charm. We felt special. Thanks.

This is the second time I have stayed here for the half marathon in Glasgow. I choose it due to location for the start and finish but also as an IHG hotel where I hold Silver Elite Status. I wasn't recognised as a member at check in which is no big deal it is just other properties I have stayed at recognise your status. However, the checkin was prompt and efficient. Despite being early and asking for a high floor room the member of staff did his best to accommodate my request. The room was very quiet, old but well maintained. There are not that many plug sockets if you need to charge devices but the room was comfortable and the inclusion of a kettle and coffee is a small thing but very much valued. The breakfast was extensive and good quality although the time you choose to go it could be very busy but this is inevitable. Staff are great and replenish stock and clear tables quickly. The hotel has a bar with competitive prices. I would recommend this hotel it you are in Glasgow as only a 15 minute walk to Grorge Square area and the airport bus and numerous decent restaurants.

We stayed one night. Hotel is lovely and very well maintained. Reception staff friendly. Our room was good with amazingly comfy bed. The bathroom however let it down as grout was a bit mouldy and bath matt dirty. Also room didn't appear to have a hairdryer. The Champagne Central bar was great but our cocktails were such a rip off: £10.50 each and had ice to the brim of tall glasses so hardly anything in the glass to drink - shocking and disappointing. Breakfast very good but wouldn't expect to get my own tea or coffee from a machine or make my own toast at a 4 star hotel.

Outstanding
GGuest UserI've stayed here a couple of times. On the edge of Glasgow centre but an easy 10 minute walk. Really nice touches of design in the communal areas and in the bedrooms. I got upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Breakfast was excellent as was dinner in the same restaurant. Only negative was that the dinner service was sometimes a little slow.
GGuest UserThank you to the staff, as a solo traveller I was quite nervous but I felt so safe. Check in was smooth and friendly. The hotel is clean, stylish and smart. You need your room key to use the lifts so I felt so safe going to my room. I stayed in a double room and it was so spacious! Everything was tidy and well placed. Even though there was a fun fair on the next street it didn’t really bother me when I shut the window. It was my first time staying in an apart-hotel and I would definitely recommend! I didn’t know that having ice in the freezer and cutlery would make me so happy haha. I could chill my water and have a lovely meal in my room without having to fork out for a more expensive takeaway. I used the Tesco express down the street to get myself fresh food. The bathroom had a lovely heated towel Rail too so I had the warmest, fluffiest towel! Down in the lobby they have a Brita water filter, board games, extra kitchen equipment and food and drink. Will certainly return if I ever visit Glasgow again!
GGuest UserOur recent stay at Moxy Glasgow SEC was comfortable, quiet and enjoyable. The availability of heavily subsidised parking next to the hotel (which must be validated by asking at reception) was an added bonus - only £8/day! The check-in and check-out processes were straightforward, with friendly staff at reception. Accessed with a key-card, our room, although compact and overlooking the aforementioned car park, was modern, clean and provided good amenities. The view from the room didn't detract from our stay, as with the curtains drawn and window closed, any car park light/noise could be avoided - this was necessary the nights events were on at the SEC. Our room was a 'moxy twin sleeper' (two single beds) - though the beds were really close together. Additionally, there wasn't really any storage space, and the use of paper cups instead of the use of mugs could have elevated the room. Despite this, the room was well-decorated and met our needs during a four-night stay. Overall, the Moxy Glasgow SEC was well-priced, and the modern, clean rooms helped us to have a pleasant and comfortable stay!
GGuest UserGreat location, lovely clean rooms, excellent bar facilities, free pool table and the staff are some of the best in Glasgow. It honestly has the best vibe, breakfast room and bar has everything you could possibly need. It’s our second stay and We will definitely return
GGuest UserIt's about 15 minutes' walk from the city center, except for the location, which is a little bit off, it's very good. I like this one. The whole hotel is warm and retro. The lighting is good, the toilets are clean, and there is a swimming pool and sauna on the first floor for free. Toilets have facilities for the disabled. There is a parking lot at the back. I remember it seems to be 10 pounds a day. Pets allowed in the hotel
BBee HoonWe stayed during Christmas season and there was a Xmas market next door. The hotel is spacious and all the necessary facilities, including kitchen and washing machine are provided.
GGuest UserWell what can I say from the day I walked in last year to enquire about our wedding scott an his team were amazing every time I met with Scott I felt as though as he was one of my close friends he was amazing from day one On the wedding eve scott an his staff couldn’t help us enough on the day all I can say was outstanding even getting dressed with make up an hair a text to him an he had drinks for the kids an adults on the reception I had to butt in at end of speeches to thank him an Robbie Also we stayed a extra night as husband an wife and Martin an scott were amazing making sure we had everything we needed everyone that attended the wedding said they hd an amazing time an it was lovely also so happy with their breakfast an checkout times I’m gutted everything is over with now but one thing I know is I will be having a night away at the leonardo as they look after you from start to finish an most of all I’ve made a great friend in scott I’m still texting him lol
GGuest UserMy wife and I planned a night out in Glasgow for our friends 40th birthday and booked this hotel for the night. I must say this hotel wasn't what I was expecting the front of house staff were really friendly and professional however that manager needs to learn she is in her position because of the customers and she should learn to speak to the customer in a more professional manner. In the space of 10 minutes while we were checking in we both saw her being disrespectful to 4 different customers. THE BAR and RESTAURANT The choice of drinks were ok however there was no draft beer available. They also had cocktails in the fridge however the barman refused to sell any to us due to the management not allowing him to do so. We paid for morning breakfast and they had a choice of continental or hot breakfast. The breakfast was the best part of the stay. THE ROOM The room was very simple. It had a small TV with standard free channels. The issue I had with the room was the staff only put 1 towel in the bathroom. If there are 2 people staying it should be policy that you get 2 towels. I cannot recommend this hotel until these issues are fixed and I will not be returning.
GGuest UserExcellent value for money for three adults including breakfast. Good location, free parking , helpful reception staff. Clean warm room. Comfy bed. Shower and toilet in room. I took travel kettle as no coffee tea making facilities in room, but is available for self service in cafe near reception. Continental breakfast good variety pastries/ meats/ cheese as well as cereals/ toast. Would definitely stay here again.
DO NOT BOOK! If I could give it a zero I would. My partner had 2 hotel rooms booked with the hotel in which he gets told there’s only one available after booking on the website stating 2 were available. My partner told them he would like to cancel the room as he needs 2 not 1. They were really rude on the phone no manners and told him it’s not there provlem it’s *********** fault. *********** said it is the hotel when we phoned to ask as we were advised. The hotel after did not pick up his calls anytime he phoned so when we went up there to explain the situation staff were trying to change the story up and finally after battling with them they said the manager would phone us on Monday. It had been 3 days and no phone from anyone. When I tried to phone off my number I asked who I was speaking to and got immediately hung up on and now my calls aren’t getting answered eother. Im afraid I can’t keep wasting my time trying to get the right to our money back when we didn’t check in or out and will have to complain higher up. Would NEVER go back there again. And to too it all off they are removing my review off their actual website ahaha
