Suitable for self-driving hotels, each room has a corresponding parking space, we arrived at the store at 6 o'clock, the hotel front desk has been off work, call the past and guide us to take the room card. Room facilities, health are very good, very close to the beach, there are restaurants nearby, there are supermarkets to cook their own meals, it is recommended

Room was very well designed, however in the bedroom part when the doors are closed no air conditioning could access making nights uncomfortable. But the most uncomfortable thing of all was the bed. A marshmallow bed gave me no support and therefore a sore back. Tried the couch one night was much more comfortable but then I started thinking about hygiene and thought I could get pink eye or something so begrudgingly went back to soft-as bed for more achy sleep.

The motel is just up the road from the waterfront and big wheel, and close to restaurants, cafes and shops. It took about 20 minutes to walk from the railway station. The room was light and spacious, the curtains kept the early morning light out and the windows could be opened for fresh air. The staff were helpful and friendly and let me leave my suitcase when I arrived before check in and again next day after check out. The bed was comfortable and the cleaners had done a great job. It was not as expensive as many Geelong accommodation places and I'd definitely stay again.

With great views of the pier and Geelong waterfront, the Novotel Geelong made for a great stay for our footy weekend away. Staff were attentive and wonderful to speak with - nothing was too much trouble. We asked to view the conference, meeting and event spaces - again stunning views and many options available. Great dinner at the restaurant, Tempo as well. Perhaps their warm hospitality even helped the Port Adelaide players get up over Geelong (don't tell the locals!). Highly recommend, made a great stay in Geelong even better.

My wife and I stayed overnight at Holiday Inn & Suites for one night. We had a top floor suite with amazing views out to Port Philip Bay. The room was well appointed with lots of space and a very comfortable bed. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had prearrange car parking and we drove straight in as there was number plate recognition. We were able to park opposite the lift, which allowed us to get our extensive amount of luggage up to our room. We had a Continental breakfast in the morning which had all you need for a good breakfast. The Holiday Inn & Suites Geelong is a truly good accommodation, however we chose it as we were travelling on the Trans Tasman Ferry with a night sailing. We arrived early so we could do lots of sightseeing in Geelong. We were extremely disappointed as the area was totally empty of anything to do. While it was a Sunday, it was obvious many places were closed permanently. Geelong is a sad, rundown city. This is a double disappointment for me as I did my Uni Degree through Deakin University which is just a block or so from Holiday Inn! We ended up driving to Barwon Heads on the Bellarine Peninsular to fill in our day before we boarded the Ferry at 7-pm.

The location was perfect. the bed was comfortable, but the amenities were way from the past and out dated the fridge had no knob to change the settings on temperature control. The bathroom shower was hard to control the temperature the toilet kept blocking up. The remote control for the air-conditioning was hard to work out with no instructions.
Apart from the location and the comfy bed i wouldn’t recommend it or stay there again.

Where to start with this one? I booked a twin room (1x queen and 1x single) here through Wotif.com. $181. I was flat out making the 9pm cut off for check in. The women on the reception gave me a check in form and on that I stated 3 people would be staying in the room. She said id only booked for 2 people and would have to get ”the girls” to sort that out tomorrow. We left and went on the rest of our trip and stupidly I booked it again for the way home. It was after this I noticed I had been charged $55 extra for the previous night for the extra person. On check in the 2nd time I marked 2 people staying (myself and my 6yo) as my partner had intended heading off that evening but wasn't sure as it was getting late. Thats where things went south pretty quick, the manager, probably the most abhorrent human I have ever encountered, started yelling at me from the ground whilst I was entering the 1st floor room asking how many was staying. I chose to go and have a conversation in the office instead of yelling. She said she saw on the cameras there were 3 people in the car when we got out and we had enough luggage for 3 people. Well yes, we had been on a 4 day trip. 3 of us. I informed her the 2 person thing was a Wotif default search. I simply put the dates and the town in and then choose an appropriate room for my needs. In this case it was the twin room that sleeps 3, as per the advertisement. She charged me another $55 dollars, refused a refund as per the very convenient ”no refund”. She informed me that this always happens (im not surprised). She accused me of stealing by not indicating how many people were staying there. She was abusive and basically just downright obnoxious. You cannot speak to this person, seriously, she just speaks over you at every chance. I honestly booked a room to accommodate our needs. in all my time booking hundreds of Hotels I have never encountered anything like it. Seriously guys, stay away from this place. I feel stupid falling into the same trap twice but i'd already booked it prior to looking at my credit card transaction. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE, THEY DO NOT DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS!!! I feel sillier after getting home and reading the reviews, seems to be a common theme at this place. I though given the twin share room that sleeps 3 was more expensive than a queen room that i was already paying for a 3rd person. For heaven's sake just go somewhere else, this place is just disgraceful!

We arrived in Geelong relatively late and the front desk was already closed. However, we were contacted quickly after calling, and we were given a room and room card. The room was large and soundproofed very well. Even if it was very close to the highway, you could barely hear any noise.

Outstanding
GGuest UserWe arrived quite late and the hosts were so accommodating and made our late check in a breeze. The room was huge and spotlessly clean, the grounds were immaculate and the pool/spa was brilliant. We've been lucky to enough to secure accommodation here on the 4th of March for the Foo Fighters gig and can't wait to come back, highly recommend this place to stay, it exceeds expectations in every single way!!
GGuest UserHard to do this review as there was nothing really wrong but there were a few misses. I got the feeling it is mostly a conference hotel - and one that has been retrofitted to update it! Staff were all really young and a bit too casual for a hotel. As it was Easter I had to book two nights and it was quite expensive given it is quite basic. Breakfast is included which is quite lovely. No lunch at Easter and a very small bar menu - Mainly pizza this weekend. Good wine list. Setting is not as nice as I hoped / I got a view of the car park and a bit of food course. It is in the botanic gardens but the gardens are very basic and mostly grass and trees! Nice pool area but mostly a bit overpriced for me.
GGuest UserStaff were not over welcoming when we come to check in, yes they had another couple in there but seriously a nice hello and smile would of been nice! Where we was parked was opposite cabins very narrow sites Plus children were playing football on the road in between our van and cabins and football kept hitting our van ( luv kids doing sporty things but take them to an open space parents) Then a mum in a tent next door argued most of the time with her young children & last thing this morning a man vomited in front of our van ! Put it down to bad luck 🤔 Amenities very clean
I stayed at Anchor while attending a conference at Deakin University. It was clean, well-equipped, and easy to find, as I walked from the Gull terminal on the main road (about 15min walk). The room had a comfy bed and good heating, which was necessary as it was very cold in Geelong! The kitchen has adequate facilities so I was able to prepare food for myself during my stay. I did not notice any traffic noise. The shower could have been a little warmer, but the heated lights were appreciated. There are not a lot of facilities in close proximity; however, the petrol station down the road has a fairly decent selection of (expensive) foods. It is about 15/20min walk to the big shopping centre. Communition was fine and I had no trouble accessing the room on arrival. I found the note in the kitchen about taking our own rubbish out a little odd! I would stay again.
DDee BWhat a refreshing family run motel. Lots of attention to detail. Everything provided in the room, ironing board, iron etc. Generous coffee and tea satchels etc and a decent size fridge! Air con works well and also the Wifi which is often so patchy, but no, my device stayed connected the whole time I was in the room! Comfortable bed, hot water in the shower- very clean, and welcoming - what more can you ask for! There is a pool but I didn’t have time to enjoy this. I will happily stay there again and can thoroughly recommend his property.
LLavoquerVery nice welcome from front desk. Carpets were not cleaned and did not have sugar n milk in room had to ask from cleaners as front office was unattended but overall very nice welcome and gentleman at the front very nice explaining us how to get around with public transport. Will not hesitate to come back
郭郭We arrived late at the hotel. We arrived at 8 or 9 o'clock. The front desk of the hotel left an envelope in the mailbox of the front desk, indicating the location of the room, but did not leave the key, and reminded us to check out the next morning at 10 o'clock ~ The room was early and late, and I stayed very nervous for one night. After finding the location of the house marked in the envelope, it was found that the door of the wooden house was unlocked and the key was placed inside. Feeling insecure. This house is a wooden house, but the taste in the room is really old, and the overall experience is very average.
GGuest UserI made a small phone call for the Chinese boss. At 11 o'clock in the evening, the plane landed. After picking up the car, I arrived at the store for nearly 12 o'clock. The whole block was covered with wood. At the cheek in the door, I pressed the bell and the boss immediately came out. So warm, don't worry about going to the streets. The late night boss introduces us to the surrounding area of Geelong, helping us to eat the place where we eat, the first stop is really warm, the hotel environment is very good, recommend everyone to go oh~ The price is very close to the family! Unfortunately, leaving the next day is too hasty to take pictures!
GGuest UserThe friendly greeting was a great start and the clean, comfortable and well appointed room was a great finish. Bed linen crisp and fresh, bathroom gleamed. Tosster, microwave, hairdryer kettle. Highly recommend this property for a comfortable, convenient stay
GGuest UserNice and peaceful location. Room was cool even though it was a very hot day so it wasn’t necessary to use aircon. Awesome mattress to sleep on - not too hard or too soft, perfect! Plenty of power points to charge devices, located at bedside as well as by dining table. Hassle-free check-in and check-out. Pokie gaming in the evening was fun. We would definitely stay here again.
