Tucked in down Lighthouse Street within the fort at Galle you’ll find the Charleston, and what a find it is! It’s a modern boutique hotel with fantastic rooms and amazing bathrooms. And there’s even a pool! The staff were welcoming, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast can be taken in the dining room or on the terrace overlooking the sea. It’s good and served from a small a la carte menu. The hotel decor is to an exceptionally high standard, reflecting the art deco theme, and it was immaculately clean. As an added bonus the first floor terrace faces west where you can enjoy the spectacular views of the sunset whilst sipping the hotel’s signature cocktails. We had an excellent stay at Ceylon Olive for three nights in August 2023. The warm welcome you feel continues throughout your stay as the staff are amazing that they take care of you with every little help. We were treated like a part of the family from the arrival and the owner Kumudu invited us to have meals together with his family, which was a great experience. The food was amazing with authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. We felt that the hotel was a hidden gem in Galle, with five-minute Tuk Tuk drive away from Unesco world Heritage site of Dutch Fort and stunning Unawatuna beach. Ceylon olive was one of the most beautiful hotels I have stayed at. The pool, outdoor shower, stunning rooms, and peaceful environment were among the best. Thank you so much to Kumudu and everyone at Ceylon Olive for an unforgettable holiday.

Very good hotel with nice two swimming pool and beautiful sea view from the main pool. Restaurant and bar are greats. And the best is the staff and the great welcoming and service, thanks again to all the team!! Location of the hotel is good, less than 10mn walk to the main beach. Recommended!

We recently stayed 11 days at this hotel and it did not disappoint. All of the members of staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. The decor of the hotel is lovely, full of character and immaculately clean. We had a ground floor suite which was stunning. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes and all the meals that we had were excellent. After visiting other hotels in the area we definitely felt that we had made the right choice. Fantastic for a relaxing holiday for all of the family! The location is great!!! This was the main selection criterion. The beach at the hotel is “non-swimming”, but with a gorgeous view and located two steps away (to the right) a wonderful turtle beach without waves...). Right in the center of Hikkaduwa, everything is nearby...cafes, shops. The staff is friendly, always ready to help with any requests and always with a smile)))

My favorite hotel in Sri Lanka, super sea view room, the view is super beautiful! It's very pleasant to walk on the beach in the morning and evening. The swimming pool is also great. There are many chipmunks on the lawn, and the children are so happy. Half board The breakfast and dinner buffets are also very good, and you can see that they are carefully prepared. The staff are very nice, and the elephants folded with towels are so cute 😍

I stayed few times at this hotel of which one time 2 months. It is central and close to everything. The rooms are very comfortable and there is also a communal kitchenette. The owner gave me access to the gym for free which was ofcourse a great service. I had room number one which gave me full view to the ocean as well as the backside village which I really enjoyed. I highly recommend this place
