My family of six, including four elderly, had a very pleasant stay at Lakeside Hotel. The breakfast buffet selection was superb and was the best we had among all hotel stays during our trip. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and toilets were spacious. We would like to specially express our appreciation to xiao guo from the front desk (前台的小郭）and hong （礼宾部的泓先生） from the hotel concierge for their great customer service. Xiao guo was attentive to our needs, and Hong had helped us receive a parcel and paid for it in advance as we did not have a local number. Highly recommended hotel！

The hotel was beautiful. Breakfast, mainly Chinese, was a great selection of freshly made to order items. Rooms were spacious and clean. I would recommend this hotel to others and I would book here again.
The only complaint I have is with some of the other guests smoking inside the hotel which made it hard to breathe.

Love it for its location and its proximity to the west lake. Such I pity I couldn’t get a lake view room.
Hotel feels abit old, has no direct access the west lake, notwithstanding that it is just in front of it. I got to make a detour to get to it.
Buffet dinner has a decent spread given that hotel guests only pays RM155.
The tea leaves in the hotel cost a bomb too. As I do not read Chinese characters well, I didn’t know that they charge the tea leaves and used them, and ended up paying around RMB 200 for a packet of tea leaves (2 servings). I would suggest that they write the costs in English too.
