My parents went there many years ago (even before I was born) for the wedding of my dad’s cousin, and yesterday we decided to come back. The setting is old-fashioned, the staff is very kind and the food is good: we ate sciatt, pizzoccheri, typical cheeses and finally a majestic Black Forest cake. We’ll be back! Fun fact: for the joy of kids, who gathered there, in the hall there are two cute bunnies :)

We had lunch in mid-July. Two adults and two children. The menu presented was rather poor, in fact nothing for my children that was good, we were almost intent on leaving. They offer us a series of dishes not indicated on the menu as available and ready (I don't understand why not put it directly on the menu at this point). We took two Milanese steaks and two portions of fried potatoes which were separately, only these together on the bill at €42, a bad surprise when paying, given that the food, although good, did not reflect the price. Two portions of decent pizzoccheri and an adequate price. A portion of veal with tuna sauce, also in this case a good dish and a fairly reasonable price. Drinks (bulk wine, water and drinks) such as coffee are all very expensive. The service good. The interior is not as nice as the exterior (a little dated). In summary I reiterate the title, ask for the price (if you want to be correct they should already tell you, not even the customer). The food is quite good, but the price is absolutely not in line. Even though I have been there many times, I have never gone precisely because I had had this feedback from other people, but by force majeure this time, first and last, I was there.

I often pass through Valtellina for work. There are not many choices for staying in hotels for business people looking for a clean, quiet place with decent service and good food. I know several hotels in the valley. I have been frequenting it since the 90s. This hotel is nice, characteristic... everything is ok. After the visit to the nice Ponte del Cielo in Tartano we opted to have dinner and stay overnight in this beautiful structure. It is an old peasant residence transformed into a beautiful hotel that combines the old Valtellinese culture with modern comfort. Walking around the structure you are pleasantly surprised to look at the furnishings, the ancient fireplaces, the most secluded corners. The spacious, well-furnished room with a beautiful rustic terrace and super bathroom. At the restaurant you can eat Valtellina cuisine. The sciatts are excellent and the venison steak with taragna polenta is fabulous. We also did some shopping at the well-stocked Galbusera shop next to the hotel. We spent a nice evening and, as has already happened to me, when I am in a structure near a thoroughfare, I also get a great sense of freedom. I love Valtellina, we'll see each other again.
