The main entrance had smell of wet dogs. The TV was old and tiny. The bathroom drainage was terrible. Furnitures are really old. At 4am in the morning, a random lady came somehow got into the roon while the door was locked. Felt really unsafe there.

My Advice to Anyone thinking of Going to his Joke of a Hotel should be aware that No1 They do not open until 5pm and there is no Car Park, Disabled Drivers cannot get anywhere near the door as the street is packed with permit parking only, You will get fined if you Park anywhere nearby, Absolutely terrible place to find and it looks very run down and shabby

Disgusting and scary, full of DSS, walking about in boxer shorts, arguing with each other. Stunk of tobacco, and generally unclean. Slept in my clothes with my coat over my head to escape the stink, to tolerate the 1 night we had to stay. It's a doss house. No breakfast ( wouldn't have eaten there anyway, it's dirty, it's got an unsafe vibe, and even states on another site that it has a pool, unfortunately that can only relate to the carpet stains and what those pools could be may be what causes the stink. Awful place, I'd pay not to go again ...which we actually did rather than return on the way back. The photos are obviously from many years ago, looks nothing like that. The guy says you get what you pay for people shouldn't grumble.....people need to avoid it in the first place and surely these places need to be outed for misrepresentation.

Having stayed at numerous locations all over the World and in particular the UK, my husband and I feel our recent stay at the above premises fell well below the advertised standards of bed and breakfast accommodation. Moreover, under the trades description act what is advertised is NOT what was offered and a serious breach of contract exists. The owner is using *********** to fraudulently advertise his business as something actually liveable. it’s a hovel and *********** will not refund you, and neither will the owner so head this warning!!!!!! On admission to the premises we were not shown the room and once we had entered the owner could not be contacted to take issue with matters which we have explained and evidenced. Indeed on check out the the owner was not available and only after a phone call later yesterday could we explain our displeasure and tried to seek a refund. Richard, the manager understood our concerns and simply explained he could not offer a refund and was sorry the standards and faults existed. He tried to mitigate the situation by explaining he was solely responsible for laundry, cleaning etc. I also tried in vain to get help from *********** via the chat and your response was simply ‘discuss with owner’, he was non contactable. The room was advertised as “spotlessly clean” — It was far from this. The walls were stained, carpets filthy stained, smelly and old. The drawers had used ear plugs, mouldy broken shower fittings, dirt and debris. “Bedrooms have tea and coffee, fridge” — No fridge / no milk, the tea bags were open and strewn inside a drawer where the used ear plugs / pamphlets etc were. The coffee jar was used and unclean. “We pride ourselves on providing comfortable rooms / aircon is even mentioned” No aircon as an aside - The bedding was disgusting, ***** hair had to be removed with tissues, and the mattress filthy. I suffered flea bites so bad I had to seek pharmacy help and given antihistamines and topical cream to alleviate the bites. “A private bathroom with toiletries” — The shower was dirty / mouldy and the actual shower head was tied onto the rail with old elastic from what looked like old boxer shorts. The water only dribbled out as the head was so cracked and mouldy. The broken riser parts were in the drawers where the tea bags etc, were, literally black mouldy broken plastic. The toilet did not flush properly, the soap dispenser did not work - no toiletries. The suspended ceiling was disgraceful with multiple bugs on it, many looking like cockroaches. The door could not be closed and the catch on lock was broken and missing meaning this family room had no privacy, the door swung open and was not closable, let alone lockable. On other matters it shows an image and suggests cooked breakfast is available, this was not the case, no dining facility, no food available. The common areas of lounge/ signing room and patio area were signed and locked off as ‘no entry/ private so unavailable

I'm going to try to be kind. I was phoned to enquire about my arrival time so took the opportunity to ask about the negative reviews that I'd unfortunately seen after I'd booked. "Just vindictive", I was told. "You can make your own mind up". So I had inadvertently presented him with an opportunity to revisit the presentation of the room, in advance of my arrival, to avoid another negative review... Free parking? Yes, on the road opposite, provided you're away in time. The room had a double and a single squeezed in. There were a few hairs when I pulled back the sheets to the double so I chose the single, which was clean and perfectly adequate. The shower area looked nasty and unmaintained, full of mould and holes but it worked and I had a perfectly adequate shower. Some parts of the room had been cleaned, others hadn't - no cockroaches though. However, there was a huge spider's web above the double bed and one of the lights wasn't working. Wanna rough it and pay twenty quid less than anywhere else? You could manage, especially if your expectations are sufficiently lowered to begin with. As it's not possible to award zero, I consider 'one' to be 'zero' so I'm going with 'two' because it served its purpose for me. See, I said I was kind...

If i could put 0 i would, an absolute sesspit. Its smells as soon as you walked in of damp/ dirty odour stale sweat, like walking into a changing room with damp towels. The bedroom , well im not a fussy person but clearly no effort or attempt to hide that its damp and black mould on the chair next to the bed, ripped cloth on the chair, grubby and dirty walls. Wall Paper coming off the wall from damp. Thick dust over dodgy electrics. This is exactly the type of place councils should be shutting down. I will be reporting to the appropriate Authorities. I have also filed a complaint to *********** as its rated 4 star on their site which may not be their fault but none the less needs addressing. No apology chandos its a Hovel.

Do not be fooled, these photos are from a long time ago, this B&B is a B&B without breakfast, not that you would risk eating anything, this is a very dirty, smelly, rundown place, it has clearly been neglected over the years. This was booked by a friend who clearly didn't read the previous reviews, we arrived and even he wouldn't sleep in the bed but just lay on top. There are extension lead everywhere, it cannot be safe, not PAT tested appliances. My advice is DO NOT STAY HERE, find a park bench it will probably be cleaner.

Slept well and parked the car outside for free. 6 minutes walk to Wetherspoons for dinner, and a shopping centre. Close to the seafront. Helpful host. Helpful host, not part of a chain. TV reception on some channels dodgy.

The hotel had definitely seen better days. The bed was comfortable but the room and ensuite were grubby and poorly decorated. The ensuite shower was covered in limescale and the shower head had to be held by hand to use it. We saw the proprietors only once when they handed over the key and told us where the room was. There were numerous cigarette butts on the window roof outside our room. Luckily we were only staying for one night for a family party elsewhere. I can't remember if breakfast was included in the booking.
