Hotel Villa Liana Reviews

I have always dreamed of living in a real Italian palazzo and my dream came true. The building is very beautiful, the room has antique furniture and frescoes on the ceiling. Unfortunately, you have to walk 15 minutes to the city centre. There are no restaurants, cafes or shops near the hotel. The windows of my room faced the street so it was noisy at night from cars and motorbikes. I would have liked more vegetables and greens for breakfast.

Sarebbe stato ideale saperlo in anticipo, visto che avevo necessità di stare in quella zona specifica della città per motivi di lavoro. Inoltre chiedo se fosse possibile avere un servizio di transfer per ovviare al disagio e mi viene negato.

Staff very friendly, If you are looking for a modern box , then this hotel is not for you. All rooms are different , and there is lots of character in the hotel. Breakfast was plentiful. Very reasonable priced hotel within easy walking distance of the major attractions, and lots of quaint bars and restaurants with in 500m. Only criticism the hotel could have a better Bar, may consider make the Bar in a room and not adjacent to the reception. Otherwise would have been 5 star

We were in room number one on the ground floor, it’s a lovely room with french doors leading out to the car park and a garden, but there is outdoor seating right at the side of the French doors, it was impossible to sleep with people talking out there, it sounded like they were in the room with you, and you could smell the cigarettes of people smoking out there, very unpleasant, we complained the first night but it happened again, not ideal when you have had a long day sightseeing and just want a good nights sleep. We would recommend you move your seating area away from the French doors.

Lovely traditional hotel within walking distance of the city sights. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely too. The room decor & size varied acriss the 2 rooms we had but both were clean and comfortable.

What a lovely hotel in a very nice neighborhood of Florence. Located just outside the main tourist area Hotel Liana was still within east walking distance of everything. Very quiet and beautiful rooms. The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful. They assisted us in tracking down our luggage which was lost on our flight in. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Florence.

and of course wonderful full breakfast buffet (meats/cheeses, cakes, pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee/juices - yum! and in beautiful room), wifi, nice size room, no elevator but we stayed on the first floor but did have to stair climb to breakfast, staff very helpful and friendly, laundry service pick up and return (saved us a lot of time and room in our suitcase for packing purposes), nice location - we were able to walk everywhere in Florence form here except train station with our bags. We would stay here again!!!

Small room, very small bathroom without bidet, chipped windows, TV not working, everything needs to be redone. Courteous and kind staff. Private parking of the hotel in a small courtyard but with very difficult access. Good breakfast, kind and courteous staff

The hotel is very nice and well located, the staff is pleasant and helpful. All this is harmed by the state of the plumbing installations, the cleanliness of some elements of the room, the smell in some areas and the PRESENCE OF INSECTS that attacked us fiercely. Fleas and bedbugs live in luxury in this hotel and can be seen with the naked eye on the sheets

A hotel that has preserved the scent and atmosphere of distant times without giving up comfort! Large, comfortable room with access to the garden. Comfortable beds and availability of pillows. A spacious shower with hand shower and shower head. Perfect! Breakfast with savory and sweet, juices, tea and coffee. In ten minutes, on foot, we were in the city center and in ten minutes at the N.Mandela forum at the concert. We couldn't ask for anything better given that there is also parking. Compliments to the staff. Everyone is kind, smiling and available to respond to every request.

We stayed just one night in this hotel which is located in a beautiful old building and we had a very good time. The room, a triple, was large, beautiful and clean with a beautiful fresco on the ceiling and a small terrace. Breakfast, good and varied, was taken in a lovely room which, like the room, had a beautiful fresco on the ceiling. The hotel is in a good location, about 20 minutes walk from the centre. The possibility of parking for free in their small car park (there is room for 7/8 cars) is excellent if you book on their website. The only sore point is the entrance to the car park which is very narrow. There is no lift but a kind gentleman who was at reception in the evening helped us carry our bags. Advised.

Very good welcome and service. But the rooms are small for a couple and the bathrooms very narrow. Furthermore, when we arrived, we had been allocated a very dark ground floor room which we were fortunately able to change to a room on the first floor overlooking the garden. So make it clear that you do not want a room on the ground floor.

When we arrived they did not have us on the guest list. After searching and when we show them our reservation document they tell us that the bathtub has a fault and they are repairing it. They send us to another hotel 150 meters away and the room they give us there is terrible with a strong smell of sewage, with the shower that the drain doesn't drain and we can't even shower. From the Liana Hotel they told us not to worry about the luggage because they would go pick it up the next day and when we arrived tired at 10:00 p.m. we had to go look for it ourselves. Totally, what they told us was not true because our room did not have a bathtub but rather a shower tray and no repairs had been made there. What they had was overbooking and they sent us to another hotel the first night. The hotel they sent us to is the Hotel Arizona, which I do not recommend at all. With a lousy breakfast. As for the Hotel Villa Liana, it is not bad, but what they did to us is not fair because we had paid for a service that we did not have since the room we had reserved for 3 people was large in the Liana and the one they gave us In the Arizona it was tiny, apart from the breakfast that had nothing to do with it. So we feel cheated. I don't recommend either of them. In Florence there are thousands of hotels.

Weekend in Florence, with a stay in this beautiful period building. Excellent strategic position to reach the historic center on foot, with internal parking, truly a top service! Very clean rooms, very kind staff, and adequate buffet breakfast. To be taken into consideration for any return to Florence.
