Family-friendly Hotels in Asahikawa

The location of this hotel is fantastic as it’s bery near the station. However I think the breakfast is so so and the onsen facilities is ok only. Not really bad, just prefer some things are better.. The room window view was not really interesting as it was facing the parking building.

The location is within 10 minutes walking distance from JR station. The overall experience is good. There are hot springs to soak in, a drink bar in the evening, popsicles to enjoy, and coffee all day long. There are also a variety of breakfast options, and there is a small children's playroom. Overall 4 nights were very enjoyable.

Stepping into OMO7 Asahikawa in October is like entering a whimsical, yet refined autumn wonderland. The raised platform bed is a clever design element, providing practical storage underneath and adding to the room’s sleek aesthetic. On chilly evenings, guests can cozy up next to a real bonfire, fleece blankets at hand, savoring the warmth after a rejuvenating sauna. Though the public bath boasts a modern, serene ambiance, its popularity can be surprising—on one evening, I found myself queuing for a shower cubicle, an unusual experience in such a tranquil setting. But any minor inconvenience was quickly forgotten, thanks to the small, thoughtful touches scattered throughout the hotel. Most memorable was the welcome drink station by the concierge, where Haskap juice—served from a bear motif faucet—offered a burst of refreshing, tangy delight. Breakfast at OMO7 is all about quality over quantity. The buffet may not overwhelm with variety, but each dish, from seasonal delights like salmon on waffles to the perfectly creamy scrambled eggs, feels lovingly curated. It’s a modest spread, but one where every bite counts, making the start to each day a little more special. OMO7 Asahikawa manages to balance fun and sophistication with effortless grace—truly a hidden gem for those looking to explore this lesser-known corner of Japan in style.

The location is easy to find, and parking is only a few steps away from the hotel door. The bathhouse closes too early, at 11 p.m., and friends who booked a small room cannot take a shower at night (because the room only has a toilet) I booked a family room with a bathtub. There are many choices of baths~ It feels okay The scenery outside the room is pretty good

We stayed on the first floor. Bedding: There was a twin bed and a folding sofa to make a bed for 3 people. Accommodation condition: It was clean. The living room was also a separate space with a table/washing machine/cooking utensils/microwave/refrigerator. There was a beam projector in the bedroom, but we didn't use it. Accessibility: We rented a car, so there was no problem getting there. If you walk for about 5 minutes and cross the overpass, you will reach the Asahikawa downtown area. Parking: The nearby coin parking lot was about 700 yen for 12 hours. There is no parking lot in the accommodation itself. Check-in: There is no lobby, so you have to check-in online in advance. You will receive an email with instructions, so please carefully check the email in Japanese and follow the link to check in. We also needed to capture the passports of all guests. Overall: Satisfied. If I go to Asahikawa again, I would visit again.
