Durian Sebatang Hotels with Bars

Stayed from 24-26/12/21, we booked 2 Deluxe King Room with balcony. Surprising this kind of hotel exist in a small town like Teluk Intan. Location is hidden in a Chinese village next to the river, about 3-4 km from town (Menara Condong). Credit to the owner for his unique idea on building this hotel. Check-in was smooth and fast, room and bathroom is clean, however the bathroom curtain is moldy, hopefully the owner will look into this. No F&B outlet around hotel, no fridge or mini-bar in the room, so bring your own cooler box if you intend to store some cold drinks. Indoor swimming pool is very nice, hidden from the hot sun. Bicycle rental available from hotel for rm6 per hour, you can cycle all the way to town if you can bare with the hot sun. Definitely will come back if visiting Teluk Intan again.

We booked through Agoda 2 interconnecting deluxe rooms and left a special remark that this request is crucial as we have toddlers with us and a maid to accomodate as well. We received a confirmation that this request was approved. Upon arriving, we were shocked to be informed that the rooms have been given to others and there were no other interconnecting rooms available. Despite the confirmation, seems the management there dont really pay attention to it. However, upon talking further to Ms.Dalilah the front desk staff, we suggested to upgrade our room to 1family room and remain the 2nd room as a standard so we could accomodate all our kids in our room and leave our maid in another room, all of these with no extra cost to be incurred. Dalilah was very calm, composed and was very supportive, she called her superior and got us what we requested as we were not at fault for their ignorance. I would like to say thank you to CikDaliah who was very professional. Keep it up. Cheers :)

Room full of those dates. Can't find a room. Even though I booked and paid. Hopefully this time the service will be better and no one else will.

Very good location, nearby to hospital, town centre and food places. Price is okay, and the service is good. One of us left her handbag at the entrance and the receptionist was very kind (and honest) to return it to our room.

Room generally clean but housekeeping will not be done daily unless you inform them before hand.. some of amenities in room not working well and only a small table placed in room. should be a bigger table and towels are sparing given got to exchange old towels for new when there is no need for it. Iron hair dryer and kettle should be placed in room instead of requesting for it at reception upon check in. The coffee machine near the reception is not working most of the time and need servicing all the time. no enough styrofoam cups made available at the coffee machine run out everytime and never replaced fast enough and room cleaner staff do not know how to make a bed properly.. do not recommend this hotel highly just before average standard

you will probably never end up here unless you are with locals, or on your way to pangkor or further beyond but in an unassuming town, rivertel is a gem offering a nice, clean, quiet, comfortable stay. the hotel is quite new and tucked between a quiet residential neighborhood and a main road. the building has a rooftop area where you can rent for events. there is also an onsite restaurant. and the town is adorable, has its own version of leaning tower of pisa.
