This is a really nice budget hotel, located in Lapad, away from the hustle & bustle of the old town, and close to the beach. We had a large room with an extremely comfortable bed/pillows, and a terrace/balcony. I thought it was a great idea to have clothes drying racks on the balconies, perfect for your beach towels & swimsuits. We had the breakfast, and it was pretty much the same every day. But even for us vegans, we could get something nice to eat. And for people with no dietary restrictions, there is even more choice. Our shower was faulty, which we reported to staff on our first morning. As it was the weekend, they advised that it probably wouldn't be fixed immediately, but by Tuesday we had a brand new shower head (the shower was usable, just faulty - we didn't have to exist without a shower!) The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful, and gave good tips about the beaches and surrounding area.
There is a bus stop directly across the street from the hotel, where you can catch Bus 6 to the old town. The buses are small and very busy (September) and the cost is 2.50 euro one way. We did also buy tickets in advance from the kiosk in the town, where they are a little cheaper (1.70). And I must admit, we walked to the old town on several occasions. 30 minute walk, but with beautiful views. The beaches close by are lovely. There is a great walking path along the coast, and at some spots you can walk down stone steps to small seating areas, where you can also jump into the ocean and swim. We did this instead of going to the pebble beaches and hiring sun loungers.
Overall, this was a really nice hotel, perfect for what we wanted. It is not high end, glam or luxurious, but it is comfortable, clean and friendly.
