After being on road for hours I saw a sign for Microtel Lake Norman/Cornelius. I, myself manage a (Best of the Best) Wyndham Property and I know a nice, well managed property when I see it. The hotel was very clean and they had a Best of the Best of Wyndham trophy proudly displayed at the front desk. I was then greeted by Peter. He was very personable, professional and knowledgeable. He actually gave me an upgrade on my room and graciously offered to show me a single room verses the double room I was assigned to. The beds were so comfortable and we slept very well. Another perk was that this hotel had a covered parking garage. Nice! The breakfast was modest but well attended and fully stocked. Upon departure the housekeepers Mike and Hema asked me how my stay was and invited me to visit again then requested that I complete a review. So Hema, here's your review! I returned my keys to Liz at the front desk, who was friendly, cordial and had a great personality. I would highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for a great stay!

The hotel is right off the interstate, and was perfect for our road trip. We didn’t arrive until almost 11 p.m., but the front desk staff was still very fresh and accommodating, thanking us for being Platinum members. We requested extra pillows through the Chat service on their app prior to arrival, and that was accommodated. Thank you! We left at 9 the next morning, so no time to use the facilities. We saw a meeting/work/quiet room, as well as a theatre/family room. We are not familiar with TownePlace, so we’re quite impressed. Breakfast was simple but more than enough with hot and cold options. Bananas and apples were individually Saran wrapped, and we really appreciated that for hygiene reasons. Thank you! The room is spacious. The only not-good thing was when we opened a kitchen cupboard to get drinking glasses, we saw a dirty, clearly unwashed plate on the stack. It could have been put there by a previous guest, so no blame on the hotel here. But, like any other hotels, wash the glasses yourselves before you use them.

Everything about our stay was top notch. We were one of five wedding parties they were hosting over the weekend so the hotel was packed and each and every hotel associate could not have been any nicer. Our room was spacious and spotless. I travel often and do many TripAdvisor reviews and this hotel ranks near the top in personal satisfaction. We were in town for the weekend but I would absolutely stay here again in the future.

Clean , and cozy all employees very friendly

Close to customers, quiet environment. Far from the airport, not very convenient surrounding facilities. The room is spacious, well-equipped, and the front desk service is good. Complaints: no free mineral water in the room, and basically nothing to eat for breakfast.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel and especially about the staff. We had had reservations at another nearby hotel that was a) dreadful and b) had cancelled our reservations when we were delayed in arriving! After spending our arrival night in the miserably dirty, broken-down room we had initially reserved (they couldn't cancel that, as they had already charged us for that 1 night), we were stressed out about the cancelled reservation and the nightmare room and the impact all this was having on our plans. By the time I called SpringHill Suites, I was practically in tears. So many other hotels nearby were fully booked for the weekend. We were in the area visiting our grandkids, and had arranged to spend the day swimming with them at our hotel. But we now had to check out of the bad hotel by 10 am, so we didn't even have a room after that-- much less a pool! I explained all that to the incredibly helpful desk clerk who answered, and begged her for a room and early check-in, if possible. Fortunately, she and the housekeeping staff at SpringHill Suites REALLY came through for us. They got us into a room there by the time our grands arrived around 10:30 am. And in doing so, they earned our business from now on. The room was exquisitely clean, everything worked well, it was nice and quiet, and it had everything we needed. The walk-in shower was a wonderful bonus, since I am disabled and have trouble using a tub/shower combo. And they put our weekend trip for our granddaughter's 4th birthday right back on track. That kind of customer service, care and concern is PRICELESS these days. Give them your business. They'll work hard to please you and, if you have a problem, they'll do their best to help. We're proof of that!!!
