Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club Reviews

This place was amazing! Great service Great views The room was immaculate They have a shuttle that goes through the golf course to go down to the beach where they have a little restaurant and the steak tacos were amazing! They have bikes you can rent for free if you stay there. Which was awesome but was expecting some better quality bikes, my buddies bike was very janky. The gears didn’t really work so up hill was brutal. But they do have E bikes as well which we found out after haha Can’t wait to come back!

Satisfactory service, beautiful environment, The only flaw is that the room is not quiet enough. I always hear the noise from the refrigerator and air conditioner. The environmental services are worthy of praise, the safety is assured, and the children love the swimming pool and hot springs.

This hotel is a large hotel, not a very refined one. Many facilities are very old. Garbage in the hotel will be littered. If the service is normal, sometimes you call the front desk and no one can find it.

Perfect. The scenery is invincible, and the service details are in place. The steakhouse downstairs is super delicious!

Nice hotel, nice golf course, great restaurant and beach

Great peaceful stay for my birthday weekend and enjoyed the beautiful views at the resorts golf course.

No hot water in shower at all during stay. Tried two different rooms in one evening. No hot water in the morning either.

Great resort and people are very nice. Lobby bar is under construction so probably should be noted somewhere. Otherwise great place to stay and I have stayed there for multiple years in a row.

The quality of service people stood out - top tier waiters, bartenders, receptionists, friendly, smiling with good humor. Did not have the heart to give only 4* - but the quality of toilet paper and the bed linen were an issue. The cheapest possible, thin toilet paper and below average, so-so quality pillows and linen - the type associated with under-200$ rooms - pity, indeed... but the food, grounds and pools were wonderful, thank you!

We were given the worst possible room. Next to the elevator and “resort view” which is the view of the main restaurant. Major noise issues from diners and service employees opening and closing kitchen doors etc. We could not enjoy our balcony or leave the doors open for fresh air. There was dinner service into the night and early morning breakfast hours. We stayed in 3 different hotels for our stay in Dana Point as we were meeting family. Waldorf was the worst.

Beautiful property & amenities. Great dining. Wonderful staff. Easy access to private beach. Beautiful views. Will definitely be back.

Stunning property. Great customer service. Attentive staff. The view from the pool is simply phenomenal. The beach club is the icing on the cake.

It’s a little bit of a hike to get yo the beach but better than Pelican Hill. Did’t get upgrade or gift for being ******* VIP. Didn’t get late check-out when requested either
