The service was good. I had trouble at check in with the credit cards and the staff was helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only problem was the phone was broken and wouldn't shut up...so I unplugged it and notified the front desk. Check out was simple also and the shuttle to and from the airport was useful. Pick up is at the Terminal 2 shuttle area and you take the team there. If you have a very early flight the shuttle might be an iffy choice. I also ate at the restaurant which was delicious and the service was good.

I was pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews on here. Front desk staff is friendly. The rooms are really nice (although the pillows are not comfortable) and you can not beat the location. You can take the airport shuttle to the hotel (great service) and it's maybe a 10 walk to the Rosemont Blue Line L station which will take you downtown. If you're seeing a show at the Rosemont Theatre it takes you maybe 5 minutes to walk. The breakfast was good (friendly omelet makers and clean up staff) although the evening drinks could be better. Some people complained about noise from atrium which is really only a bother if you are still sleeping when breakfast is served. I would definitely stay here again.

Best location if you need to return rental car before you fly. Just 3 minutes drive. The hotel facilities have been recently renovated and everything is spot-on! The room has absolutely everything you would ever need, good coffee, appliances, nice lightning, super clean bathroom. Reading chair and working desk. (The only problem is they don't offer water in the room). Nice swimming pool and gym. Downsides: They charge parking, and the check-in staff could be kinder. They interacted with me and other foreign guests in a rather bossy way.

The best thing is that it feels like a hotel, not old-fashioned, but more like an express hotel, very comfortable

Well, let's start when we first arrived. The door entrance and mat was clean! No trash or nasty doors and I loved that. Then we walked in and was greeted by the sweetest young lady named Sherry! I can tell you that along with the extremely clean facility all the way around, Sherry took the Cake!! She was so professional and she made our check-in, our stay and checkout amazingly smooth. I have been in Chicago many times, and paid high prices at other not so good hotels by this one was is the BEST!!! Thank You Sherry for making our stay an Amazing One! Our stay was a GREAT ONE!!!! I needed to stay somewhere overnight near Midway and this hotel fit the requirements. There is free 24 hour Midway airport shuttle service which is what I needed as I had an early flight out. The front desk clerk was very patient and hospitable and knew how to set expectations, which was fantastic for me after 10 hours on a plane, and getting into Midway very late at night. The night shuttle driver was also quite nice. I had a hard time understanding him, partially because he was using a face mask and partially because I was tired and sleep deprived and have bad hearing. I had a great night's sleep. I didn't stay long enough to figure out what, if any, they had for breakfast. I did use the free internet while I was here. There were only a few odd things. 1. When I walked into the room, it had an odd smell. I believe it came from the slightly moist carpet. In about 5 minutes, my nose got used to it and I didn't notice the smell the rest of my stay. 2. The desk had no electrical outlets on it. There was one electrical outlet on the wall (thankfully I had brought my own power *****) near the desk. On the desk was something that looked like outlets of some type, however I did not recognize what it could be used for. That meant that all my electronics were plugged into the 4 outlets, 2 on each of the bedside lamps, plus the power *****. 3. There was a microwave, however, no refrigerator. I didn't need one so it wasn't an issue. There was space in the area of the microwave where one would have the refrigerator. 4. The water for my shower at 3:45 am, never got truly hot. It was warm and probably adequate for babies and the elderly. However it was not hot enough for a sleep deprived individual who likes hot showers. On the other hand, it was warm enough for my shower. I just couldn't warm up, during the shower. 5. The area by the bathroom sink was quite small. It wasn't a real issue since I could place my things on the table in front of the microwave, which was just behind me as I was facing the sink. 6. I couldn't figure out how to change the temperature of the room. The air conditioner was blowing cool air. As long as I was covered at night, I was okay. However, I wanted the room to be warmer, and the lack of a hot shower, made the room even colder to me. Would I stay here again? Probably only as a 1 night stay. I've stayed at other Fairfield Inns that were in much better condition. However, the front desk clerk and the availability of the 24 hour shuttle service to/from the airport, makes it highly likely that I'll stay here again for a 1 night stay. This was a last minute booking so I paid a lot for this one night stay. They got me.

We came to this hotel because of the proximity to Midway Airport. It is indeed very close, and regular shuttle buses will take you to and from Midway, where you can get a subway anywhere. It is in a hotel campus with 10 others. In the neighborhood in walking distance are several restaurants of many types. You can get a city bus to many shops, including a mall. Breakfast is limited, but always fresh, and had hot and cold options. Far better breakfast than most hotels I have been to lately. My only real issue is that the room was never cleaned in 3 days. We asked every day, no one came. I asked a housekeeper, who told me they are not allowed to go to rooms not on their list. People put garbage in the hall that was not picked up for two days. Alex at the front desk was helpful, and informative. The fitness room was clean and had machines I wanted to use.

The hotel is located on the Magnificent Mile, which is very convenient for travel. The water tower and the largest Starbucks are nearby, and there is an LV store downstairs, which is very suitable for people who love shopping. It takes only 5 minutes to walk to Lake Michigan.

Clean room with comfortable beds. Very busy location . The only negative is the cost of parking is ridiculous at $62/night.

Travel lodge Chicago This HAS to be the worst hotel/motel I’ve ever stayed in up to this point… As I pulled in I became worried about the quality of the hotel just by look at the outside of the building, but as seen from other places I’ve stayed, I shouldn’t judge a hotel just by the outside appearance… But in this case it proved to be correct. As I entered the hotel lobby inside there was a plexi glass screen covering the front desk, this glass looks to have been built into the foundation, meaning it was there pre-Covid. I asked the person at the front desk and it turns out it’s bulletproof glass which made me very nervous, so right off the start I didn’t feel all that safe. I was given a room key to one of the base level rooms, this made me slightly at ease as I could park directly outside my room so that way if someone tried to break in to the car I was driving I could hear the alarm go off. It only got worse as I entered my room. Floorboards have been lifted off the ground and I could see through to the foam padding beneath the floor boards, there was a fist sized hole in the wall and the immediate smell of smoke and body odor filled the room. I kept all of my belongings on a table or the sink top as I felt it was too dirty to leave them on the ground. Due to people smoking just outside my room, the air coming in from A/C unit only was part cold part smoky The entire state of the room just gave me a feeling of grossness and disgust. And it just became worse with the bathroom, it also smelled like body odor, and there wasn’t even so much a plastic dowel for the toilet paper to sit on, Just a 3/4 used roll of toilet paper sitting on the top of the toilet tank. in addition to that somebody left a little surprise for me in the toilet (there was pee left in the toilet). At the front desk I inquired where if I could drink the tapwater, usually I will get an “ I believe so“ or “There are water bottles in the room” but not here... what I got was “ I have no idea but probably not, you can buy water if you want to have a drink”. I found it weird that they “believe” that was sink water is not safe to drink, yet they had cups next to the sink? They did suggest getting ice from the machine and letting it melt if I didn’t feel like paying for water, but that would’ve been very time consuming. I feel like hotels/motels should be able to provide some free of charge water, if not from the tap then somewhere else on the property. The room description when I booked it said “mini-fridge” and “microwave” were available Which turned out to be completely false. There is a common use microwave next to the check in desk that people can use but especially now during Covid I felt it wasn’t the best idea to be using a microwave everybody has used. She informed me that the queen bed rooms don’t have microwaves and mini fridges and they don’t know how to change the description online, but the rooms with king beds did have them, so I did inqu
