A great hotel to stopover en-route to Southern France, especially if you have ridden a motorcycle from North to South in England. Staff are attentive and the bar and dining-room has a good selection of drinks and meals. The continental breakfast was as expected from the IBIS chain with a good choice of food. Rooms (with cubicle shower facility) are basic and suffice for a one-night stay. The car park is a smooth tarmac service with plenty of space, and the hotel is on the edge of town with a nearby fuel station and quick exit to major road networks .

This hotel was the base for our Leger Battlefield Tour ‘Walking the Somme Battlefields’. Its location is ideal for exploration of the Great War battlefields in the Somme area whether as a solo traveller or part of a group. Over the last nine years I have stayed in five different Ibis hotels (4 in France and 1 in Spain) so can compare this Ibis with others in the chain as well as other hotels groups. My evaluation is an Ibis is an Ibis is an Ibis which shows good continuity throughout the hotels I have visited. The hotel is located out of town (as have been most of the French Ibis hotels I have stayed at) on a large fenced site surrounded by lawns and shrubs. The site provides ample parking provision for cars and coaches. The Ibis Albert mirrors in layout and style most of the others I have stayed at. As a base for the night it works out well. A comfortable bed, a chair and walk in shower, what more could you ask for. My room was a little tired but perfectly clean. Ibis don’t offer tea and coffee making facilities in their rooms but I believe you can use their facilities in reception. There is no room safe (which is fairly common with this level of hotel Europe wide) but reception offer secure storage of any items you may wish to leave. The Wi-Fi in my room was fantastic. As the room TV only had French stations I relied on Netflix for in room entertainment and the Wi-Fi was perfect for this. It came connected whenever my phone was on (unlike other hotel chains where you need to repeatedly keep logging on ). The room tariff comes with a complimentary continental breakfast that included a wide selection of meats, cheeses, cereals, breads, etc. There was something to keep everyone satisfied. There is an in-house bar and restaurant that opens in the evening. I didn’t eat in any evening so I can’t comment on their quality but others travellers in my group said that it was good value. For other people there are local franchise restaurants (KFC & McDonald’s) within easy walking distance. I can recommend this hotel for single night or longer stays.

Its been a few years since we last visited this Ibis and little has changed just more poppy items. The room was clean and tidy with a tv (no English channels) but there is no kettle here so travellers take note. The hotel is easy to find and Albert town centre is only a 15 minute walk away and supermarkets are close by as our Kentucky and Mc Donalds. The start of the battlefields of the Somme are only a short drive away and all get busy in late June and early July. Nice Ibis in a good location with good staff what more do you want. Bon Journey

Cannot praise this hotel & its staff enough, we were a party of 9 staying for 2 nights as part of a battlefield tour through the Somme & Ypres regions. We had a late arrival around 10pm & I requested a cold buffet in advance which was provided & was superb, everything was top notch from cleanliness of our rooms to reception & bar & restaurant staff. I’ve stayed several times & have to say the standard of food is superb I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else whilst in the Albert region, thank you for a great stay.

Stayed for 3 nights to visit the Somme battlefield sites. This is an excellent, well run hotel with very pleasant staff. I like to try to speak French when in France and get on ok but the staff here are very good English speakers so no problems if you get stuck with French. My room was 1st floor at the rear of the hotel so a quiet spot. Good sized room and very clear, tv with French channels. I took a travel kettle which was a big plus as no tea making facilities in the room. The hotel has a bar and restaurant which were both well used during my stay, restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. Good sized car park with plenty of space. I took about 30 minutes to walk into the centre of Albert where there are numerous restaurants but good to check opening times first as many don’t start food until 6pm. Great location for battlefield sites. Would stay here again.
