1000 Islands Harbor Hotel Reviews

It was our first time in Clayton and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel. We brought 2 of our granddaughters with us. We loved the river view from our room. The swimming pool was used every day. We enjoyed our meals in the Hotel dining room, there were good options from the kiddies menu too. The grounds were beautiful and there was lots of space for the girls to ride about on their scooters. All in all it was a wonderful stay.

Is just a dream stay there, staff are always nice the restaurant bar girls were really nice and kind and that make me want to stay more or visit again

The bar and dining room were closed by 9:00PM - on a Friday night even though the facilit dad a decent occupancy.

This is a great hotel but we continue to be disappointed with food service and short bar hours. By this I mean my herb chicken was swimming in tasteless liquid- the first few bites were good but then turned mushy. For a nice hotel and charging top prices we were also disappointed that the bar closed early and we couldn’t get a drink after 9:00 on a Friday night!! Our maid saw our do not disturb sign at 8:00 am and put a notice on the door that she couldn’t clean but even tho the sign was removed when we left at 9:09 she never returned.

Hotel is clean and they put significant effort to keep it clean and organized. However when the check in is at 4pm check out should be at noon.

Nice hotel but very noisy. Got woke up by a large bang that sounded like it came from upstairs but we were on top floor. Restaurant was a bit pricey. Alora, one of the check in clerks was not nice at all and even though we may not be the typical clientele, i did not appreciate having her treat me as nothing. The room was nice as we had a river view and it was nice to wake up to.

Great hotel on the Saint Lawrence river. Staff was excellent and the restaurant was a great experience. Easily walked into Clayton downtown. Will definitely go again. Also the robes included in the room were so good I bought one.

Loved the location, the parking, the staff and the size of the rooms. Things to be aware of: the shower will change temperatures or get stuck on scalding hot for no apparent reason. The walls are not very thick, you will hear your neighbor so maybe bring ear plugs. I recommend the hotel and would stay there again if in the area.

Amazing value for the price in the winter. Beautiful hotel in a great location. Room for improvement: the dinner menu was missing some inexpensive options and service was slow on the one night we ate there. Also the breakfast coffee was a bit weak for me. There was no bold roast option.

One of the loudest hotel stays I've ever had. Snowmobiles pulling right up to the doors and revving their engines for 15-20 minutes at a time. So loud it sounded like they were in the room. Room next door had several guests listening to loud music and talking loudly late and then again in the morning. Walls were very thin. Having lived in the area I should have known better than to book this hotel in winter. The snowmobile crowd is loud & rowdy. Will never do again.

Nice full service hotel in a charming town. Everything walkable. Room was very spacious and clean and we got a very good rate booking with *******. ($50 more if booked through the hotel). "Adirondack" type decor - slate tiles, sage coloured woodwork in cabinetry in room. No coffee maker in the room - but a coffee station was set up in the hallway near the elevators - so that did the trick. Most hotels provide a couple bottles of water in the room - this one didn't. Small thing - but we missed it. Also - even though the room was nice - I felt the bed was on it's last legs.It was okay, but after traveling for 12 days stratight - we've slept in more comfortable beds in other hotels on this trip. We didn't go for a room with a view, as we arrived in the dark and left very early the next morning - but if you are staying longer - the view is very nice! Lovely walks along the boardwalk in this town, and lots of nice shops in the area - and we had a great dinner at an Italian restaurant on the water, just a block away. Front desk staff very nice - pleasant enough one-night stay, at a great rate, off season (arrived the day after Xmas). Not sure I'd be up for the quadruple the price rates in the summer. Pricey at that time of year. But we only paid $118 US, all in for our stay. So you can't beat that. For the price we paid - very nice.

By far the best place to stay on the American side in the 1000 Islands! Very clean, very modern, and walking distance to everything in the village of Clayton.
