From the start, the staff was super helpful. We had booked two separate rooms on separate reservations. I had called a couple days before to ask for adjoining rooms, they immediately put a note on the reservations, so that when rooms were being arranged for the day’s check-in’s, they would know to put us in adjoining rooms. Sure enough, it was done!! The person on phone was super polite, helpful too! When we arrived, person at the lobby counter was friendly. The staff member that cleans the rooms was also very nice. I stopped her in hall to ask if she could refill the body wash dispenser - again very polite and did it right away. I have to say too that this was THE CLEANEST room that we’ve stayed at recently. Because of Covid, we just wipe down everything when we get to any hotel room. We’ve stayed at some hotels where the Clorox wipes, multiple ones, were just black/gray from us wiping doorknobs, switches, remotes, counters (basically all the high-touch surfaces). The two rooms were honestly spotless!! Oh, we also randomly asked if roll-away beds might be available since my kids weren’t thrilled about sharing a bed - it was available and free too. We’ve only ever asked for a roll-away at a different hotel one other time, which was denied. It was just a very pleasant experience for the lobby and the housekeeping staff to not sound like we were a bother. Hotel is convenient to restaurants, groceries, shopping, highway.

We stayed here for 5 nights in August 2024. The hotel is well located near good highways, restaurants and a shopping center in what seemed a safe area. The physical facility is very nice with a sofa, table, and chairs: clean with good amenities like an indoor pool with a whirlpool, and a workout room' neither of which we used. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The suites have lots of space; it was clean and had everything one would expect. One highlight was a good shower with good water flow. Negatives were I could never get the safe open (requests for fixing were unsuccessful) and the magnetic key which loses its use easily. The light on the phone blinked most of the time, and no one could remedy this. The room was quiet, but the facility seemed to have few clients. They had the broadest range of foods available I've seen although many were not all that healthy. I admit I am not a fan of the free breakfasts that many hotels have. A high quality coffee and juice would resonate with me. Check in and out was efficient, and all the workers were friendly.
Staff member : Jakob (Front desk) - Jakob made my stay quick , comfortable and secure. He was very professional with a light hearted spirit that made the long day feel like tonight I came to the proper place for rest. This season can be hard on many; but for his kindness and compassion towards myself and others staying, I must say he makes a woman feel safe. That is a feeling only a few can say they experience when staying alone. Jakob always kept an observant eye on the grounds , maintained the standards of presentation of the property (collecting bottles and garbage). Yet the action that mattered the most was making sure a woman staying alone at night remained safe. He is a 5 star employee and a true asset to the business ! Next time I visit I’ll make sure to ask “How has Jakob been ? :)” Happy Holidays, move with light and love . Sincerely , Kelsea P
Not going to lie. After reading the reviews, I was a little leery about staying there. But, the place was awesome, ALL the staff was beyond pleasant and happy to see you. Parked in the parking garage, which is attached, was able to walk the sky walk to the Peoria Civic Center. Hotel was very clean, rooms were great. The only con really was the Bar/Bistro area. After the concert, which got done pretty early, we headed back to the hotel. Thought it would be nice to have a drink at the hotel bar and chat before heading up. All the lights were on but no one seemed to appear to wait on us. Stood there for a while, went across the street to Hoops to get a drink. They were packed to say the least so we took our drinks back across the street and finished in the hotel lobby. Someone appeared at the bar at the hotel then, only to close it out for the night. My thoughts were that they lost a lot of money by no one being there to wait on us. Just my opinion. All in all, we loved the hotel, the location, the rooms, the staff and will definitely stay there again.
The hotel does not have it's own parking. You can park at a meter on the street after 5pm or a city-owned parking garage in the back with non-working elevators. Second the hotel staff at the front desk when we checked in did not know the layout of the floors. Third, there was an event which caused them to put the hotel on lockdown and the guests of the hotel were not made aware of this prior to the event. A lot of small children were in our group and were scared because lockdown now means a shooter to them. The hotel staff needs trained in customer service and communication
The hotel is very clean, comfortable and well-kept. The front desk clerk was warm and welcoming; she checked us in quickly. The room was extremely quiet and very comfortable; the bed was especially comfortable ensuring a good night’s sleep. We enjoyed the popcorn in the lobby as a late night snack. The Bistro was open late for food, as well. Tom, the morning clerk, was also friendly and efficient. Thank you.
I was on a road trip over a long weekend in October 2020 and had the opportunity to spend a Sunday night at this hotel. It was interesting because my reservation was actually for the Courtyard next door, but the Courtyard was closed and all reservations ended up transferring over to this hotel. (Both properties are owned by Marriott.) While I was curious as to what the Courtyard was like, I was quite impressed by the Pere Marquette. My check-in process on Sunday afternoon went fairly smoothly. The staff member checking me in was very friendly and helpful. My room (#821) was clean, comfortable, and very nice overall. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, a lot of the hotel amenities (restaurant, bar, indoor pool, etc.) were not available... so I couldn't experience any of those things. The parking situation was a bit more complicated than it could have been. When I arrived, I parked on one of the side streets nearby... but I guess what I could have done was park in front of the main entrance while I unloaded my car. The parking garage is behind the hotel, and I had to go back to the front desk to have my room key card activated to allow me to enter and exit the parking garage. Not a huge deal but it could have been a bit simpler. The only thing I was disappointed in was the fact that the web browser on the business center computer was Internet Explorer. I attempted to use the computer for some basic web surfing and whatnot. However, for some of the websites I use, Internet Explorer is not compatible... and a different browser like Google Chrome was not available. That was a bit frustrating. One thing that was interesting was how quiet this hotel was. It was almost eerie... a Sunday evening during a pandemic. Probably very few business travelers. I would have loved to have been here during a non-pandemic time and seen this place bustling with people and business... especially in, say, the restaurant/bar. All in all, I liked this hotel and would definitely not mind staying here again (or maybe the Courtyard) in the future whenever I have the opportunity to visit Peoria again.
Always a fantastic stay ! Great staff! Awesome location, clean beautiful rooms, great view !

GGuest UserThis hotel needs two separate ratings. The first one is for the staff. Every staff person I talked to was genuinely nice, helpful, and friendly. The staff is WONDERFUL. Five stars for the staff. The pantry in the lobby is nice and quite affordable. I used it a lot and appreciate that the pricing for items was fair. I didn't use the lending library of kitchen appliances but it looked like it had a lot of decent items that would be helpful for someone staying long-term. The rooms on the other hand are one star rooms right now. The bed and mattress are the absolute worst I've ever slept on, without a doubt. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I had back and neck problems the entire time I stayed here and for several days after. The mattresses are so incredibly old and worn out that they are sunken-in and offer absolutely no support. The rest of the room was decent and I had no complaints, but the mattresses are so bad that it ruins the entire experience. We ended up staying in Peoria longer than we had the room reserved, but decided not to extend our stay at this hotel simply because we couldn't sleep on the beds any longer. The staff tell me the hotel will be renovated this spring and I'm really glad to hear that. Once the renovations are done, I would gladly stay here again.
GGuest UserWe stayed in rm 314. Pros - Room was clean. Bathroom tub/shower, floors, base of the toilet. Sink area, closet space. Rug was vacuumed well. Clean fridge (didn't open or use the microwave). Coffee fully stocked. No dust. Headboard even appeared to be wiped down (which I really appreciate and some hotel chains don't do regularly enough). Bedding was clean and had a light fresh scent. Nice tv, firm bed. Very comfortable. Breakfast area was good. A lot to choose from, good variety. They had proteins (boiled eggs, eggs cooked to fit on muffins and bacon) of course a large variety of carbs too. Customer service, check in, check out and breakfast attendant were all friendly. Nice area. Close to a lot, restaurants, shopping mall. Cons - No shampoo was in our room. Didn't notice it until the morning. I'm sure if I called the front desk they'd have no problem getting it to us. We had a little left in a travel size bottle in our bag. Just used what we had left and made it work for both of us. At 3:30am we heard an adult size person run down the hallway.
GGuest UserThis place is suitable for neither extended nor stay. It is not even a real hotel. On a scale 0 to 10 where 0 is spending the night on a park bench and 10 is getting pampered at a Ritz Carlton, I rate this place a 2. One notch above a dump. Let me explain: The Grab-n-Go breakfast they hype about is not much more than a basket of vending machine quality muffins, Dollar Store quality breakfast bars, warm watered down coffee, and check this out, Quaker Oatmeal packets with no bowls, cups, milk, or microwave to make oatmeal. The whole breakfast bar is about the same size as the end table in your bedroom, by your bed where you place your phone, watch and glasses as you turn of the light. Front desk service is below terrible. Very unprofessional both in behavior and attire didn't let me check in because she could not find my company's reservation authorization in her computer. I gave her a reservation number. No help. She said she wouldn't let me in unless I have a payment information in the system. I showed her a screen shot of my reservation which *clearly* states that my payment guarantee is in the system; her response: this means nothing to me unless I find it here. I ended up calling my work and get the credit card information again so I can be checked in. In the meantime I am waiting in the lobby soaking wet and tired after a full day work field work on a rainy and cold day and it doesn't even occur to her to say ”go ahead go to your room, relax, rest while I sort out why I can't see your payment information”. I have never met a hotel front desk staff who looks at their hotel's reservation confirmation and said ”this means nothing to me”. The rooms are very aged, out-of-date. There is kitchen but no microwave, no dishwasher. There are cabinets but no plates, glasses, pot and pans. Nothing, just bare cabinets. So my advice: The are way better options in Peoria.
SStephanie HartwellEasy fast check in. Front desk receptionist was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were updated and clean, comfortable bed. Would stay there again. Exactly what you're looking for when passing through.
