We stayed for 2 nights to visit the Christmas market (Weihnachtsmarkt) at Bonn and Cologne. Perfect distance to both cities. Going there, signs to the hotel are not very visible. At night it was impossible to find the hotel without Google Maps. Check in time is supposed to be at 15.00 but we already had our key around 13.30. We were given a spacious room on the second floor facing the parking area and big container bins. No airco, only a tower fan hidden in the big wardrobe. There were 2 windows with heater underneath. In the morning when we opened the windows, we could hear lovely sound of birds chirping outside. The room had big LCD TV with German channels and BBC. No waterheater. Beds were soft and comfy with two big soft pillows and one little one. Comforter was warm enough in the winter. While the room has no odor at all, the bathroom is a different story. The shower/bathtub smells of damp, also has black spots on the wall. Water pressure in the shower could use great improvement. Breakfast is served from 7.00 until 10.00 (weekends) with many varieties of bread, meat, cheese, and fruit. The sausages that go with eggs and bacon were very delicious. Coffee is served by the waitress with medium coffeepot left on the table. Tea drinking is self-service with great selections of tea. Little teapots for hot water are nearby. The waitress gladly brought us hot water when we forgot. Although the hotel folder stated Wi-Fi connection is 1 euro per code/gadget, when we checked out, there was no extra charge for Wi-Fi. All in all, we had an enjoyable stay.

I was first in this hotel. Since I am about 200 nights in the year hotel, I look forward to new experiences. And despite his age, the house is a very careful, with friendly staff and really a direct connection to the Rhine. Close to it definitely not! Class breakfast with fresh fruit salad, fresh pressed juice,... The rooms are large and clean. And I would always take the Rhine side!!!

The location of the hotel is still relatively remote. It takes about 20 minutes to walk from the nearest train station, and it is very inconvenient to take a taxi. Although there are buses, there are fewer flights. Really suitable for deep travel, not suitable for parent-child travel, the child is too tired

Our honeymoon trip took us here for the first night. We wanted to stop in Cologne to see some sights the next morning, This was a perfect location just off the motorway, and only 20 minutes back in to Cologne. When we arrived, the staff member that saw us in was pleasant, satisfactory English, but seemed to lack any personality, like she was bored. The restaurant in the hotel was closed when we arrived, when we queried this, we were told its a breakfast only facility. I asked for some recommendations for the local area to get some dinner, I was handed an A4 sheet with multiple eateries. My Wife and I like to read some reviews before going, and found only a couple out of the whole list was on Google or Trip Advisor, so not the most helpful. OK if your not bothered though. Dimitri Grill up the road, about 20 minute walk, I highly recommend this place! (Reviewed separately) The room was pleasant, odd shape, clean and comfortable. It had a safe, sofa and chairs, bed was hard, which was nice. The shower was amazing, could have stayed in there all day. The room however was only made up for one person, we had to call down to get more bedding and towels. These turned out to be single duvets only. The hotel don't stock double or king, only singles. There was a coffee and tea facilities however the kettle is only useable under the wall mounted TV, so the steam and heat goes in to the TV, the coffee was not nice at all, and again was only made up to be enough for one. Car park was odd, its free to get in with a barrier that goes up automatically when you move towards it, however to get you need a token from reception to leave. The staff did remind us of this, however there was no check on if we were guests or not. If your a light sleeper due to light, take an eye mask as the curtains are as thin as cotton. If your looking for a pamper, or some fluffy stuff, this is not the hotel. This is purely a business hotel, or a bed and go kind of hotel.

The reason for the location of this select hotel in an area devoid of personality, tourist attractions or facilities is totally unknown to me. And to get to the hotel, from Koln central station you have to change several means of transport. The price is really indecent for what it offers. He tries to stand out but fails miserably. For a 4-star hotel, the rooms are small, with limited equipment. There is no minibar or mini-fridge, no safe for valuables. Even a wardrobe for clothes is not provided, instead you will find a sheath in the wall with several hangers. And the concept of the bathroom is totally impractical: open bathroom in the room, with all the steam that spreads in the room, without towel holders.There is no possibility of heating the room, or at least it didn't work, given that the outside temperature during the night was close to freezing. A big problem was serving breakfast: around 7 am it was impossible to find a single seat at the table. At check-out I was asked to pay for the room again, although I had paid at check-in and I also had the issued invoice. In short, there are much better places in this world to stay and feel welcome!

The hotel ” Acora Bonn - Living the City ” is an extra-class hotel, once something quite different from traditional hotels that you are usually used to. On the house facade is the text read. Acora - Hotel and accommodation. ” This hotel we haven't yet met ... This three-storey hotel is compared to a residence where the entire living environment consists of a family house. Here in the Acora Hotel you can make a short holiday or even stay for a longer time. Montage workers seem to live here for a longer time...We have found here only young people ... For us, the holidaymakers, stay with breakfast is offered, what has been enough for us too. A deep garage is available and costs € 4 per day. The city area where the hotel is found is called Bonn - Tannenbusch, and is about 4 kilometres from the centre of Bonn. The motorway access is not far from the hotel...There is also the metro stop Bonn-Tannenbusch. Therefore the hotel is actually centrally located. We, were satisfied with the service as it was offered here. The only lack is that there is no seat in this building complex. We were satisfied guests. Rooms, breakfast, service and the price were good. Only the missing seat was a problem for us. Three floors with baggage that was too tough for me. From there we will probably not come back ... Who doesn't care about the missing chair, will find a priced alternative to the costly accommodation prices in Bonn for a hotel in Arcora Hotel. What I felt very good was in the staircase, on both sides of the stairs and climbs, the double handle that was present at the staircase as on the wall. The room is comfortable and bright, with a dining table, chairs, sofas, washing table stoves, and tableware. There are two big supermarkets nearby. It is very convenient for us to cook and eat by ourselves. The outdoors are very quiet, the locals who meet are very friendly and welcoming, and there is a bus directly to Bonn Central Railway Station outside the hotel. Very smooth. In addition, the hotel is self-service. I saw the health staff. The hotel lobby is beautiful and comfortable.
