Xishuangbanna Jinghong Jimu River View Hotel is amazing! Located along the riverside, it offers the perfect viewpoint for sunsets and evening views. You can see the bridge across the Mekong River and the buildings on the opposite shore, beautifully lit with colorful lights—a truly breathtaking sight. The hotel is also close to street food vendors and food/fruit shops just below the building. The night market is only a 10-15 minute walk away, making this location ideal.
The facilities and services, including A/C, a tea kettle, hair dryer, swimming pool, airport pickup, breakfast, slippers (changed daily!), towels, washing machine (this surprised me!), toothbrush, toothpaste, tissue paper, and more, are excellent—better than other hotels I’ve stayed at. It’s essentially a smart hotel! There’s a Xiaodu AI (like Google Alexa or Siri) to help you manage room functions such as opening/closing curtains, turning lights on/off, and controlling music—it's so innovative! However, it currently only supports Mandarin. The bathroom features an automated toilet with self-flushing, a heated seat, and an automatic bidet. One thing to note is that there is no door or partition between the toilet/bathroom and the bedroom, so it’s an open design. If you’re sharing the room with friends or others you don’t know well, be mindful of this for privacy.
The staff here are friendly and helpful, although their English is limited. They do their best to use translation tools, which is appreciated and works fine.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 to 10:00, so if you want to enjoy it, an early wake-up is necessary, haha! The food is simple and leans more towards Chinese style rather than Western, with options like noodles, cakes, stir-fried vegetables, soy milk, fresh milk, and watermelon.
Overall, I rate this hotel 10/10! The few minor points I mentioned are easy to overlook, and the price is affordable and reasonable. You won’t find another hotel like this anywhere else! Don’t hesitate to make this hotel a memorable part of your trip—you won’t regret it!

Overall, I am very satisfied. The price-performance ratio is super high, the design aesthetics are online, and the holiday atmosphere is full. It is recommended for leisure vacation, not for special forces.
First of all, I have to praise the environment and design. The desert style is also in line with the tropical climate here. The rough style and clear geometric blocks are very modernist. I, who studied architecture, can't help but take a few more photos🙄🙄
But I personally feel that the interior design is somewhat unreasonable: for example, the slide and bunk beds in the duplex parent-child room make the first floor look cramped, and the space on the second floor is too large, but there is no bathroom; the pool is too large and it takes a long time to drain the water; the bathroom is not closed. But considering the attribute of ”parent-child vacation”, the overall flaws are not enough.
The front desk and waiters here are very enthusiastic, which makes people feel more pleasant. The photo-taking service is not too forced, which makes people feel that the hotel still fully respects customers.
But objectively speaking, the details of hygiene are still a little bit lacking, and some corners are lazy. At the same time, the taste of the food needs to be improved: especially the fruits and drinks for afternoon tea.
I came here in the off-season at the end of October, and the price was great. I think it was above my expectation at this price.

Around dinner time, we set off to Jinuo Mountain to gather and distribute headlamps and flashlights. After the guide explained some precautions, we set off. It was very interesting. We climbed mountains and trees along the way and saw various insects. It is also a large plant research base. It’s playable and highly recommended! ! The boss was very hands-on and encouraged us to participate. Highly recommended and will choose it next time

GGuest UserThis is one of the loveliest hotels I've ever stayed in! The hotel grounds are gorgeous and the perfect retreat from city life. You can spend the day relaxing by the pool, taking in the views from the terrace, and hiking around the surrounding tea fields. The owners of the hotel are incredible and always there to help out. We completely fell in love with their friendly dog, who even accompanied us on one of our hikes. We also loved the breakfast (noodle soup with fresh local fruit and sweet potatoes served alongside). I just recommend you bring snacks along on your stay, since there are no shops nearby to buy things.
This is the perfect place for anyone who wants to recharge their batteries in nature. I'll definitely be back :)

PpinkrippleThere is free pick-up from the airport, and there is a shuttle bus for visiting Gaozhuang. It is very convenient and the service is very good. There is also a swimming pool on the roof, and the environment is very good, especially the night view. The breakfast is generally good, with quite a lot of variety. I really like their rice noodles. The laundry room is a bit run down, so if there's nothing special about it, try not to use it.

亚亚当The BaiMa (White Horse) Hotel is on the 9th floor of a beautifully designed building. It has a tea drinking area at the elevators. The whole hotel, including in the rooms, has pictures of what I think is an expedition race the owner took part in -- but it's not overdone. The location is perfect, right on the center west of the new north-side of downtown JingHong (main tourist area). Right beside the night market. Delicious food found at the restaurants nearby. Corner store (with decent wine) downstairs. Motorcycle and scooter rental down the street in front of the hotel. The best views of the Mekong!
The room was big, spacious, and postmodern (contemporary) in decor -- very comfortable and still having personality, not just a ”white room” as so many hotels are styling themselves as, these days. There is even a small fridge and a full-sized washing machine! The bathtub on the balcony was very romantic. The cost was worth it, compared to more expensive rooms in other hotels.
The staff was beyond helpful, first by allowing me to choose which room I would have, and second, by helping me order flowers and food to my room. They even brought us free chopped fruit. They had cleaned my room during the day when I went out, even changing the bedsheets when they noticed the sheets were dirty.... +++
The only negatives I can think of is that the AC does not make the room cold enough for a spoiled Westerner like me (but most people won't have a problem with that), and the tub on the balcony is still missing it's fixtures. Oh, and the pictures of the racers above the bed was a bit strange. Of course, I wish it was cheaper, but actually the price is probably fair considering the cost of other hotels and how well done this hotel is.
Overall, a beautiful and excellent hotel, and I highly recommend it.

GGuest UserWe could not say enough nice things about this hotel. We had a very enjoyable, relaxing 10 days which was just what was required after a busy semester at work. The two young ladies and one young man at the front desk were extremely helpful and kind (I only know two of their names, Xiao Luo and Xiao Xiang). They were not over bearing and in our faces ever. They were able to help us with every request we asked for when we wanted or needed something. Having a language barrier was never a problem and they were so attentive to our needs via wechat. They were prepared to help with a driver to any sightseeing you wanted to do. There’s great restaurants and things to see and do within walking distance of the hotel too. The cleaning staff were very pleasant from the lady around the pool to the lady cleaning our room. Breakfast had two options, noodles or rice congee, it was always served with a great number of side dishes, more than enough choice from cereal, eggs, bread, as well as milk, a number of freshly prepared vegetables. Due to the great breakfast we rarely ate lunch. You just didn’t need to. We rescued a dog while in Xishuangbanna which the reception staff were really helpful with some of the things we needed to do with the dog! We have stayed in many hotels around the world and Lying Cloud was definitely a highlight. Great location, clean and modern room with good amenities, wonderful front desk staff, clean and well maintained pool and outdoor area at a very, very reasonable price. This hotel came recommended to us via a colleague and we would highly recommend it to other foreigners and Chinese friends too!

JJuliatogliattiIt’s a small boutique hotel with very modern design and very clean. The hotel itself is new and family owned. All the staff are extremely nice, helpful and caring. They have contacted me over SMS to check on our flights and came to airport to pick us up. Hotel located about 10 min walk from the night market, but not in a middle of all the bustling noice. They also have a shuttle service at your choice between market area and the hotel, after dinner you just sent the location over wechat and someone immediately arrives to pick you up. They also helped us to get Covid tests, and arranged a driver for our travels! Breakfast is 4 types on choice, 2 western and 2 Chinese sets. Western is scrambled eggs with a toast and vegetarian bacon, or French toast with jam. And served with a freshly brewed coffee. Breakfast location is near the pool in open area settings, that’s exactly what you want in a tropical environment like here. The room size is just right, not to big but not to small either, mattress is soft and instead of TV is a wall-wide projector, room have powerful hairdryer and lit-up make up mirror. We also got 3 fruits baskets delivered to our room while staying here.
I have lived in China for almost 2 decades and this hotel is by far the best hotel experience I had in China.

1: The hotel is located at the outermost part of Gaozhuang, and it is very quiet to sleep at night.
2: The hotel includes breakfast for every guest staying in the hotel. It is different from the catering of four-star hotels. It is the rice noodles that the locals of Banna eat for breakfast. The green belt wall on the roadside can be used as a table. It really tastes the same as the rice noodles that cost 8 yuan a bowl outside.
3: The hotel has its own shuttle bus to pick up and drop off. When you go to the night market, a guy will take the initiative to talk to you in the lobby. Do you need a car to take you? The guy in the store is really good. He knows where to have fun in the scenic area. The Thai food and mushroom soup pot recommended to us are also very delicious. It is not expensive, less than 200 yuan per table. There is also a guy who drives to pick you up when you return to the hotel. It's great.
