This is a decent place to stay but there is nothing special about it. The Haven Inn is very dated. The room was large and had a fridge and microwave. The beds were comfortable. We stayed for 3 nights. There is a restaurant onsite which was good for breakfast. There aren't a lot of options for meals in St Anthony so having a restaurant onsite was a plus. The room was downstairs at ground level and had a window but still it was quite dark. Many rooms we passed seemed to have no natural light at all. The bedspreads were horrendous floral affairs. The bathroom was clean but clearly in need of a refurbishment. On our first day, our room was not made up because we had the DO NOT DISTURB sign on...until 10 am! That certainly gave them plenty of time to go back and clean our room but that did not happen. The front desk staff were not terribly friendly but not unpleasant. There was an added marketing charge on our bill which I didn't catch at the time. These charges were not mentioned in our quoted rate nor were they government taxes. Overall, I would not recommend this place but if you have no other options, it is safe and clean.
We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the St Anthony area. A very nice well kept property in the heart of town. I believe it has 20 rooms. We had a 2 Q bed suite but didn't require it, but it was the only thing available when I booked. We had a 2Q, NS Suite. A nice large room with a separate sitting area with 2 comfortable accent chairs and a side table. Coffee machine and microwave were on a separate side table. There was also a fridge. It had an interesting cabinet bed that could also be pulled out for a large party. Don't know if it was just suitable for kids. Bathroom was small and lacked counter space but was very clean as was the whole suite. Vinyl flooring was a nice touch and we had 2 windows which overlooked the harbor. We had a second floor room accessible only by stairs (know before you go). That was OK for us. Hotel is only 2 stories. You will drive to access dining. Several options in town. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cost was very decent for the room and quality. Glad we stayed here and we'd stay again.
