Great hotel overall this particular room the refrigerator did not work and a chair was missing a leg it did not affect our trip in particular but should probably be addressed or at least guest should be made aware of the lacking amenity

From all the reviews on TA, didnt expect much. Was afraid of a dirty/smoky room but was the complete opposite... Stayed on a comp over Memorial Day weekend Sat-Tues (my feedback would be the same if the room was paid). Opted for mobile check in which was convenient and was able to obtain my room around 2PM. Albeit I didnt have to stand at a check in line, I still had to stand in line for my key which is counter-productive. Would be nice if there was a single kiosk for online check ins. The crowd there is mostly people 50+ who want to stand in line...I dont. I want my key quickly so I can jet. Lady checking me in was very nice...BS'd with her a few minutes since no one was in line behind me. Assigned a room on the 4th floor. View of the parking lot---didnt care since the elevator up/down to the room was quick. The hallway though smelled bad---I would have preferred cigarettes but this was OLD MAN BODY ODOR-----was terrible. It even stuck with me til we got into our room---I was like, is that me all of a sudden? Did I sweat and auto-smell? Why does it smell like a musty old man in the hallway? The stink lingered for two days and then by Monday it was gone. Anyways, the room was clean and tidy. Didnt inspect every corner of the room but the general appearance was that it was clean. Enjoyed the spacious bathroom and shower mostly. TV needs to be upgraded from a 32 inch to at least 40 inch considering they have the space for it. Small fridge worked fine. Didnt use the coffee maker. Bed comfy, pillows, not so much. Had a hard time sleeping night 1 but built a pillow fort and was able to get some descent sleep the following nights. For it being a holiday weekend, didnt really hear or see anyone on the floor. Was very quiet. Water pressure in the shower was A+. Everything seemed to work just fine. Again, this rating is just for the room/check in experience. Not the ****** or restaurants.

Ooliver5618This was a last-minute trip and booking this hotel was a mistake. I chose this hotel based on location and that they accept pets. Let me begin by saying it started with the reservation. I specifically asked if they were a non-smoking facility and was told yes without hesitation by the young man who made my reservation. This was a lie. There is not one employee who works here that doesn’t know smoking is done by the owner and others on a regular basis. Upon late arrival and exhaustion, we were shown two rooms on the 1st floor near the front desk that someone had clearly smoked in and could tell they someone was literally smoking in one or more of the rooms near the front lobby. I even told the front desk woman that someone was smoking and no response from her. I specially asked if the hotel used to allow smoking, again no response. The 3rd room was on the 2nd floor and did not have a smoke odor but a low-grade odd smell. The furniture was dated and need to be polished and the inside frig was dirty. The soap had the nastiest smell I’ve never experienced so am glad I took my own. No hairdryer. The air conditioner leaked water which is a hazard. The owner and other people appear to be living at this hotel – weird all away around. I used the common restroom off the lobby to quickly wash my hands and there was a knock on the door. When I opened the door, it was the guy from the front desk, believed to be the owner – beyond freaking WEIRD and CREEPY. In the a.m., someone swiped a key card in our door. I thought it was someone making a mistake about the room they were in. The dog kept barking and when I looked down the hall, it was an employee who swiped our room door?????? This place is a boarding house and not a safe place to stay.
