Comfort Inn & Suites Brattleboro I-91

This was THE WORST hotel we stayed in the during the entire vacation! We had a non-smoking room which reeked of smoke (and so did our clothes and luggage when we left) and the carpets were so filthy we wore our shoes all the time and didn't allow our feet to touch the floor. Carpets were badly stained and had NOT been properly vacuumed, if at all. There was a tack on the carpet by one of the beds (glad we wore shoes!) and a paper clip among other small pieces of just trash, crumbs, etc. by the other bed. However, I will say the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast area appeared to be clean and the food was OK. Upon check-out at the front desk, I mentioned that the housekeeping in room could have been better. The employee apologized, handed me a card with the general manager's contact information and asked that I call her. When speaking with the GM (Kareana Haskins), she unapologetically denied that there was any smell or filth in the room and asked what I was looking for, to which I relied "I'm not looking for anything except acknowledgment that there was definitely a housekeeping issue with the room." I was only thinking it might be helpful for the hotel to know so they could fix any problems with housekeeping. I wasn't asking for any type of refund at all. With all that said, I would suggest that if there is any other place nearby to stay, you might want to consider that option instead or drive to the next town. I'm sure the GM is going to come back at me with something but it is what it is and the photos don't lie!

The hotel was very easy to access off the highway. We had arrived quite late and the check-in was quick. Our request for upper floor room was honored. Good: - reasonable breakfast options including make your own waffles - relatively quiet hotel, while you could hear the noise from the hallway it quickly became quiet even when the hotel was fully booked. - friendly staff both at the front desk and the breakfast area. - reasonable price (much lower compared to similar hotels). Not so good: - the room seemed to have been cleaned, yet a pair of socks were left in the closet and the sink barely drained. - the seating area for breakfast is really not sufficient. The hotel was full of families with children yet all the seating as at tables with two chairs only. There were also very few seats overall.

The trip occured less a month ago but I can't remember how it was. It was just a standard boring hotel in mediocre middle range class. Can't remember the room, the service, the breakfast. Although this means nothing bad happened, all is well and that's why it is a four star.

Management used my credit card SIXTY (60) DAYS AFTER CHECK OUT. Management is extremely unprofessional. The hotel charges a $25/night pet fee. I paid this fee at check out. My invoice at check-out, correctly included two (2) $25 pet fees (one for each night of my stay) which were paid in-person on my credit card before leaving the hotel. Corrine, the manager, applied another $27.50 ($25+tax) pet fee SIXTY (60) days after my stay, onto my credit card without notice. When I called to inquire about this charge, instead of listening & reviewing the charges with me, she yelled at me that she was "entitled to charge pet fees" instead of looking at the prior charges detail & hung up on me. Charging a $27.50 "pet fee" SIXTY DAYS AFTER CHECK OUT seems as though the hotel is desperate for money & cannot be trusted with any guest's credit card. Choose a different hotel. Staying here appears to be a license to let the management disrespect you, & abuse access to your credit card with repeated charges & fees and fraud. In addition to the above, when I called my credit card company to report the fraudulent charge, the fraud department representative found yet ANOTHER charge for $27.50 separately applied to my card, 1 or 2 days after my checkout. DO NOT TRUST. DO NOT STAY HERE

room was very clean. Location was ideal right off of turnpike. Nice restaurant right next door. Great staff. Only drawback was breakfast was not that great....dry eggs and hash browns , just bacon was ok

We’ve had several pleasant stays here in the past so chose it again for a Columbus Day Weekend getaway. Checked into our room last night to find the room temp to be 75° b/c the ac wasn’t working. Reported it to the front desk and the man came up, agreed that it wasn’t working, changed the batteries in the thermostat and told us that often fixes it. He said they had no other rooms available because of the holiday and bumped the thermostat down to 56°, telling us to let them know in the morning if it wasn’t fixed. When we woke up this morning the room temp had gone up to 77° and we were sweating. We told the front desk AGAIN and they sent someone up to check it. That person played with the thermostat settings but it didn’t fix the problem so they said they’d have a tech come fix it while we were out for the day. 12 hours later (at 8pm) we returned to our room and the temp is STILL 77° so clearly nothing was done to address it. We told the front desk for a THIRD time. The woman at the desk came up to the room, agreed that the ac wasn’t working, and said that her husband was the maintenance man and that if it was ok with us she’d have him look at it when he picks her up at 11:00pm. Are you KIDDING me?? We’re paying $600 for 2 nights over a holiday weekend, they had all day to fix it, and they did nothing...and they want to come at 11:00pm?? We have no options, hotels are booked because it’s Columbus Day weekend, so we’re stuck in this uncomfortably warm room. We’re waiting til morning to give management a chance to make this right by giving us a significant refund, otherwise we’ll stay elsewhere in the future. This has been a good hotel with helpful staff in the past but this is unacceptable. Will update if management makes it right.

Easy checkin and out. Room was spacious and clean. Smelled nice as well. Loved the separate sitting area. Breakfast was nice. Egg omelets, premade egg sandwiches, waffles, cereal, bread options and other items. We had a great one night stay.

We had a very pleasant one-night stay in this newer Comfort Inn. Everything was clean and comfortable. Friendly and professional staff. We received a very nice veteran's rate for our stay. There was a good selection of breakfast items. We would definitely stay here again. It has close access to the interstate, but it can be tricky finding the entrance drive because it sits behind a 99 Restaurant.

Very clean hotel. Staff were welcoming. The lady running breakfast was very efficient. Laurena helped us with our washing and checked us in. She also recommended restaurants. I didn’t catch the name of the gentleman on reception when we left. He kindly let me use his personal mobile to call ahead to the next hotel. Stay here. You won’t regret it.
