A reservation was made for my Father In Law and Mother In Law, earlier in the year, to attend a wedding in Keene, NH. The reservation was for the Best Western Plus, 401 Winchester Street, Keene, NH 03431, for a handicap room, as my Father in Law is in a wheelchair ad was in need of a roll-in shower and handicap-width doors. My Sister-in-law called 2 weeks prior to reservation date to confirm this roll-in shower in the handicap room. My Father in Law and Mother-in-Law were given room. The room did NOT have a wheelchair width door to enter the room. It also had NO roll-in shower, as requested in the original reservation AND confirmed 2 weeks out. I went to the front desk to inquire about the room assignment. I was told that all roll-in rooms had been assigned long before the reservation was made, that the handicap rooms had NO roll-in showers. I expressed that this went against what had been reserved many months ago, and I was told that when the manager was in the hotel the next day, the dispute would be made “right”. This never happened (the stay was two nights). When I checked out for my Father-In-Law and Mother-In-Law, no accommodation had been made on the bill for this less than adequate room. I was told by the person on front desk that this was not something would happen.
